My mind is also of animals and crossings, I'm about to hop back in now after I eat something. My museum and shop should be ready as well as two new villagers, plus I caught two oarfish on Pirate Bae's island last night, what a game lol.

I'm a day behind so my museum is still building, just finished getting the resources for the 3 villagers to move in. My friend has been taunting me with his collection of 4 oarfish while I haven't got one :/

edit: I had no idea about oarfish until this game, what a cool fish

RIP Kopite, Town killed him on D1 in BOTH of my LiS Mafia games now. In the first game he was innocent Kate Marsh, and now in this game he was Rachel Amber! Of all people!

First impression from skimming the thread is Faddy is scum with Chugg. I'm less sure about Chugg though.
That whole mechanics talk without any reads from Faddy is hella suspect.

Some interesting night actions tonight so far. I'll put role names in spoilers, but no player names:
So the setup I rolled is a Town Tracker, a Town Friendly Neighbor, and a Mafia Role Cop for the PRs.

Currently, the Tracker and Friendly Neighbor are both targeting the same Vanilla Townie, who is also the target of the Mafia's night kill. So they are being tracked, befriended, and killed, all in the same night lol.

It is pretty slow in there. I was thinking about moving to 24 hour day phase today, but I'm not even sure if that would do anything. I can't tell if it's slow because people don't have time to post much, or if it's a chicken/egg scenario where no one is posting because it's slow, and it's slow because no one is posting. A 24 hour phase would probably help the latter, but not the former.

Town LP always seems more attentive. Like he’s inactive because it’s LP, but he’s engaged and he’ll go against the grain if he doesn’t agree with town. Scum LP plays a little too perfectly. Like asking people if they’re into killing rac and then hammering by mistake with a minute left feels town LP as fuck

I'll put all the spoilers in a spoiler tag in here for now, but if it seems like most people are reading them anyway then we'll just bring it out in the open.

The setup is a Town Tracker, a Town Friendly Neighbor, and a Mafia Role Cop for the PRs.

Town:
Rac - Friendly Neighbor
Z-Beat - Tracker
Alexem - Vanilla
CoolestSpot - Vanilla

Mafia:
Faddy - Role Cop
Blargonaut - Goon

Z-Beat tracked Chugg on N1, and is currently tracking Blarg on N2.

Rac targeted Coolest on N1, no N2 target yet.

Faddy is able to use his Role Cop ability and perform the Night Kill on the same night. He killed Chugg on N1 and checked LP's role.

Tonight, Faddy is killing Alexem, who he believes to be a Tracker, and is checking Blarg's role to give him cover in case he is wrong and someone else tracks him tonight.

So, the 3/2 LyLo phase tomorrow is looking like Rac/Z-Beat/Coolest vs. Faddy/Blarg, with Rac and Z-Beat having PRs to claim. A mislynch on Coolest on either of the next two possible phases loses the game for Town.

Man, I knew it was Faddy. Dude is playing way too coasty in a game where there isn't much wiggle room to fuck around. Glad I basically had this game solved before I was spoiled. Hopefully town can pull it out, but I doubt they can resist the CS kill.

And that's why I should never be allowed to be anything like a town leader. Couldn't read at all, there - sorry for the push, LP, I really thought I was on to something, although part of me hoped that someone would talk me out if it.

Could be any of the remainder, really - although since the end of D2, I've been wondering if CS and Rac might be the scum team. If one's a blocker or they're both goons, they'd have known that revealing Rac as a neighbour couldn't be counter-claimed. That's just speculation, though - I'm not reading the spoilers yet.

Again, without looking at the spoilers, I will say that I was genuinely against Faddy's peeking plan on D1. I thought it would only serve to help scum and spread FUD. I posted some fake results (that I'd made up the moment before posting) on D2 mainly because I was concerned that if it was a scum ploy and most of town went along with it, I thought it'd give scum easier ammo to push for a mis-lunch against me. I'd normally consider myself fairly expendable as vanilla town, but when it's a day before a potential LyLo situation, it's another matter.

Flavor solving this game is not recommended lol.
As is indicated pretty heavily in all of my flavor posts and everyone's role PMs, the game is entirely randomized, including the flavor, because the flavor is that everyone is playing a game of Mafia. All roles were given a random flavor.

This stuff right here is why I like playing with him. He's can be a mess early game, but dude starts playing really well once he starts figuring things out.

It's no use really, he tracked you on N1 which isn't going to give any additional info or make his claim any more believable. All he really has is that Blarg didn't move last night, so all he knows is Faddy is the one who submitted the kill

You played great man, that was an amazing gambit. I'm not sure if it was necessary, but from rac's perspective you made it really hard for him to not believe you. Well played all around man!

I really wish Z-Beat had tracked me to add some extra paranoia between me and coolest.

At one point I thought about hammering myself before Blarg and Rac got to talk. Not sure if that would have been the better play.

We should have probably just killed Rac last night but I was of the mind that Friendly Neighbour has no info and could be jailed. And I would rather go to 5 and have defined worlds so I didn't actually have to fake solve.

Funnily enough, my early plan going into D2 was to try and draw the night kill - the slow pace of the first half made that tricky, though, and after the CS gambit I couldn't see it working. As I mentioned earlier, after LP's flip I expected to be left in as an easy mis-hit. Seems like my idea worked out after all through luck rather than judgement!

After today, I'd say there's a good chance of them picking Blarg as long as they don't try to over-think things. Knowing that scum would have been pushing for that last mis-hit today makes his vote look too suspect to ignore.

Yeah, to believe CS is Scum then you have to believe in the ultra-gambit world where Faddy and CS were just putting on a show for Town. The reality is of course much more simple, Faddy and Blarg wanted Rac to vote for Coolest so they could win.

We'll see though, it'll be Rac deciding on Coolest and Blarg this time instead basically.

Imagine being in a final 3 with Coolest and Blarg...

When you don't hit PRs the game sort of solves itself.

Now we could have went with Rac on night 2 and risked the jailer. But if there is they can stop the mafia kill again and get a free extra lynch.

The CS gambit is actually what made me think you were the PR. Like you were saying coolest was fishing your role.

Here is the other thing though. If we correctly kill tracker Z-Beat you are still not scum reading coolest. So you, Rac and Coolest just solve the game. Maybe your opinions change on Z-Beat's flip. But that seemed like an uphill battle too.

As much as I'd like to say that's what would have happened, I'd probably have just ended up paranoid that the two of them were in cahoots.
