so my impressions so far (I know nothing about the design of this game)
- Monkey is scum
- Include is pretty normal so far
- Rynam could be scum
- nin revealing blood type will probably benefit other parties other than himself and whatever he's aligned as.
Not much else to note just yet. Nicole is being fairly lax by only targeting inactives. I understand she was pushing that last game but she's not getting involved outside of mentioning if someone is posting.

Yep. There's a LOT of moving parts, and it kind of feels like trying to juggle an entire city block. (To borrow an analogy I used for another upcoming game.)
So, here's a story - I used to LOVE Big Macs. They were awesome. And then at some point, they stopped being as good. Every once in a while, though, I think, "I used to love Big Macs. I should go get a Big Mac." But when I do, I'm disappointed all over again. This happens about once a year.
So, REALLY crazy games are kind of like Big Macs. You need them, every once in a while, if only to remind people why we don't do them more often. Funnily enough, Geno brought this to me right around the time that people were talking fondly about Volcano Island and asking for Harry Potter 2 and WWE 2. If people love this game, the new leadership can look at doing crazier stuff more often. If people hate it, then they can say, "well, that's why we don't do Super Crazy Bastard Games very much." Win-Win.
Anyway, I'm saying this here to kind of preempt the question of "Retro, why the hell did you approve this?" I did it because sometimes we need to go a little off the wall, to either learn something new, or learn our limits.
Honestly, a lot of this midseason is experimental like that. But we're gonna try it, and if it works, hopefully it will happen more often, and if it doesn't, the overseers will have something more definite to point at when they turn it down in the future.

I'll do a read list so far, cause this is fun and I feel it'll help the rust as I haven't played in a few months. Gotta be solid for shoe mafia.

Still thinking neutral here, the role fishing is there and theres a sort of free attitude that which i would not think a scum team member would have. New player, so could be wrong but I'm currently planting at third party.
2. [m] Crimson - GMT
Could be scum, Crimson as scum has tended to remain on the quiet side with harmless interjections. This is currently happening in this game. Bear calls them Blenders, he's demonstrating peak Blender behaviour.
3. [m] Fandorin - GMT-3
I don't really get anything from reading Fandorin. He's there, and getting in some arguments and discussions but I don't feel he has a voice and distinct opinion. I'd lean scum.
4. [m] Fran - UTC-3
Seems like normal Fran so far. Town.
5. [m] Sorian - MST
Sorian's a blind spot, but he's being fairly blunt and not really sheeping others. I'd rather lynch him just to be sure, but Town leaning.

I think so far, she is town.
7. [f] SweetNicole - CST
So I said she looks scummy, and she definitely does. She has looked scummy in previous games though, I just tend to read her playstyle negatively. I will say though the constant pushing to inactives is really setting red flags. The back and forth with Terra just had her saying she was busy which I don't really think is a credible defense. I think lynching Nicole would help me read a few others based on their interactions today.

Not sure. He's asked some weird questions that could be an attempt to get Role information from others, and I don't particularly see him as a positive force for Town, but not particularly timid, so I'm thinking third party.
9. [m] nin - GMT+1
I'm town reading currently, I'm also unwilling to lynch because he gave the blood type info. With that info my first thought was serial killer based on blood type, so I would keep nin alive to see if he gets got on night kills. Valuable.
10. [m] Rynam - UTC+1
I am leaning scum on him, he sort of backtracked and disappeared after getting heat.
11. [m] StanleyPalmtree - GMT+13
So far, pretty strong Town read.
12. [f] Dr. Monkey - EST
I'm going back and forth on scum reading. I would definitely need reasons why she's OK with L_P. I also question her extreme frustration at people calling out wanting a no lynch. The post was worded to not specifically want one, but she raised it as an idea out of nowhere and her wording was ambiguous enough that she could've really defended herself no matter what people said (agreeing or disagreeing with a no lynch). I feel she could fit in all categories, if she's Town, I'd say a decent PR. I'm going for neutral/scum more likely just now.

Sort of a null, he's been more active than when he was neutral in Buffy, which makes me think scum. He's chasing his own target and with decent reasoning though.

I'm scum reading that full read list, in amongst mostly nothing posts. He sheeps *Splinter's Nicole logic, which is reasonable. Don't know if scum!Hecht would be this laid back though.

Yeah currently seems like Buffy play again, and it doesn't appear false, so I'm townreading.
16. [m] Terraforce - EST
Claimed Miller the right way, and judging the game type and player number, I would expect a Miller of some form. He was also a lot more restrained in BumBum mafia as scum, he's back to the attack dog stance this game. Town.
17. [m] Verelios - EST
Not a whole lot I remember of Vere, just that he has posted. I'd probably chuck him in the vague non-town category.
18. [m] *Splinter - GMT
I struggle to read Splinter most days, but so far I feel he's been pretty useful in the game, so wouldn't lynch. Maybe a slight town lean.
19. [f] Kitsunelaine
Don't remember ever playing with Kits, though I read her behaviour as weird Town currently. I'd start going after her D2 if she was still alive.
20. [m] Muffin
One of them blenders, and I agree with L_P's points. Would consider voting.

I'd say Town so far. Not a strong read, but just what I feel.

I'd consider lynching this. There's nothing there.

So far, I am town reading Kalor.

Bear's been inactive in a lot of games recently, and it's been on both scum/town. He's a good player to have around though, so I'd probably grace him this day phase in the case that he could be Town and helpful. Complete null in game though.

I think the format that you've gone with for this is super interesting. Its the first forum game I've read, but the level of complexity for the roles is impressive. Light Yagami having that many conditions for his kill to work while also having goals that make him more powerful makes me REALLY curious about what the rest of the roles are like. Like, just seeing that on its own makes it hard to understand what motivations neutral/mafia could have. I also like the idea of the boxes adding in that extra level of complexity to trust to the way they're handling things.
Personally, I'm not sure how to feel about their plan to pass around the items back and forth. I feel that its just going to end up showing someone an item that should have been kept secret and get people killed so they can get it. And I think Splinter knows this, and he's just having other people pass theirs around as bait.

Also there are a few more cool roles that go deep in the series they came from, not every single one is a winner though.
- Hecht has definitely seen MHA
- Definitely changing my playstyle next game since town seems to punish active posters
- Brazil's predictions were so on point I thought he had a role that let him read my role PM lol
The design of the game thus far has been really fun. I love the items. I love the whole blackjack thing. I feel bad that I wasn't able to keep myself from getting lynched for a few more days for you. I really wanted to cause some NK havoc. :(
I pulled him out because my fake claim was in Tekken? Or some other game, and I needed a character name that would get me access to the MHA item without arousing suspicion.
I thought the Mineta claim was genious, It didn't even cross my mind and it actually made sense. Anyway, the Blackjack part was probably my favorite of the day, thinking about the reactions and stuff even now makes me laugh. Here's the design sheet.

It doesn't seem like town is ever going to say: "if you're inactive or coasting we're going to lynch you every game until you start contributing." People are way too fine using the argument, "well that's just how they play, so it's okay," and I don't see that changing. And if I push for inactives, I get called scum and suspect for focusing on easy targets.
Thanks Nicole! You haven't even seen Yugi's role yet, it was so big it didn't fit in there. Muffin has already targeted Sawneeks for an absorb, so unless he gets roleblocked rip sawneeks.

Yeah, I don't get that. I haven't played any of the forum games so I don't know people's habits, but going after people who are coasting seems like a smart move. They're trying to stay on the sidelines for a reason
I believe the description on the spreadsheet for that role is "See Role PM, then DRINK."
