I’ve been talking to bear behind the scenes and it’s town who was underpowered for sure. Scum team is too big (by one player) and cult literally only fails if one of the original two is killed very early game. It’s very rare this game is ever in a state where town can win, it’s almost always scum v cult. *queue us getting to the true ending timeline where scum now fumbles everything, my cult goes left field and fucks up our recruitments and Blarg stumbles across the finish line as town golden boy*

To be fair I'm not the best at balancing, although I agree that scum probably had a member too much.

I mean, that’s perfectly viable within the rules. You can lie about any game related content, says so right at the start of the game. Wasn’t a fake conversation either, Grizzly absolutely told me that the cult couldn’t recruit any theoretical other neutrals. :D

A 5 members scum team would need 8 mislynches before lylo without extra kills, and it would be fucked by vigilantes/overrides if hit

Without extra powers it would feel very unfair

A team wide 1 shot bulletproof (like scum in berserk), a full rolecop or tracker(as a counter to cult too) and an additional scum kill could make it work, probably

Yeah still shocked by 6 mafia and i can’t write games at all lol.

6 mafia is still less than 25% of the player base. And our mislynch options are cut down by masons and to some extent cult.

We had 1 additional kill, town had 1 and 1 was up for grabs And none of the modifiers are really helping mafia either. One outright stops us making a night kill and today's one gives town a double lynch. And from a mafia perspective we need 7 mislynches to hit parity which is right around the correct number for 6 mafia.

Cult complicates matters. There are a lot of anti-town players but if you reduce scum by 1 then we probably need 2 additional kills to make up for it. Balancing for cults is pretty tricky.

Maybe? But that also disables our Bomb so it isn't like that is without consequence for mafia either. We can effectively lose a kill in that modifier.

Shout out to town: We were at a disadvantage, and I feel like we did well in spite of that. And for those that were left in the game, you put up a good fight dudes and you all did a good job sticking it out. I wouldn't want to be in your place

Shout out to cult: Your choice for recruitment's were really fucking good, and you did an amazing job at hiding. Seriously, if not for Fireblend you might of went the whole way without getting exposed.

Shout out to Febe: You deserve this win, buddy.

Shout out to scum: From my short time here, I feel like you have some of the best players on this team and it really shows, really well played by everyone here.

Shout out to Grizzly: I know there's some talk of balance issues, and I think most of the critiques are fair and come from a good place, but I wanted you to know that I had a lot of fun playing this game. I'm sure you put a lot of work into this game and it shows.

Zubz and Ceecee: Sorry for using the wrong pronoun for both of you at different points in this game. That was really uncool of me, and I just want you both to know how sorry I am.

To everyone else: I haven't been here long, but I'm really glad I signed up for that first game. You're all really cool and I honestly think you're one of the best communities on this site. Seriously, you're all awesome.
