My thought process for inviting you is that due to your early claim you are a known quantity and I feel you are in quite a neutral position.
Your role claim makes people on both sides too afraid to go for you which means you have staying power for the foreseeable, and you knew that when making the claim. So i wanted to know your thoughts and how you were planning to proceed going forward since you basically have immunity.
And providing you are also town, making allies couldn't hurt right?

I don't think this is necessarily true - and got a bit annoyed by so many people just assuming that mafia would never shot me - but I see the point.
Are you town-reading me or not?
Did you consider someone else to invite? Why?

Hey! Sorry for the late answer but it seems like timezones aren't doing us any favors. Let me get to the stuff you asked yesterday;
In regards to thoughts, my PIK barely changed.
Protect: Fran. As stated, he's been asking good questions. Pretty focused on solving too, which is in line with how I expect him to play.
Kill: Vincent Alexander. We talked a bit about this yesterday, but him generally staying at the sidelines and nobody calling him out was so weird. A bit out of character, and then he leaves his vote on Sorian. Literally a meme vote with this
for a justification. Call it dumb paranoia, I just really want some pressure there today.
Investigate: Fanto. Just to finally solve it so we can move on from considering the second wagon of D1, which always comes up later.
About how to proceed; just trying to solve! Since my power is passive I don't really have to think about who to target each night or anything. So I just try to focus on the stuff that looks sus at any given time.
It also helps that I showed my hand early and people don't want to risk lunching me - at least not yet - so I can be more open and active than my normal play. If not for the claim, Fran, Stu or Sorian woud've probably called me out on whatever I said they didn't like/found to be wrong.

Yes, my thoughts on Fran and Vincent are the same. My read on Fran despite them coming for me quite hard at first is that they seem genuine and nothing about their actions seems scummy to me so far.
Vincent stating his intention to hide really bugged me, I cant remember if he was like that in the last game I played but my gut feeling tells me he wasn't. Kalor also makes me suspicious, there's a big lack of effort there which he puts down to laziness but I dont recall him being like that last game either.
In regards to the newbies, jman seems genuine to me, he really feels like someone trying to figure things out and putting himself forward. He reminds me of me trying to figure things out in Stardew Valley.
Hagi a bit less so, they seem unsure of everything and are talking about researching game mechanics and whatnot which is fine but seems awfully safe and non-commital.

Now, on to the big stuff. I've been thinking hard since I got my role PM about the best way to apply my role, its the first time I've really had a power and I want to use it effectively.
To be blunt, I dont see myself surviving long. One of my reasons for contacting you first is that I think you might last a while due to your role claim.
The reason I dont think ill survive long is due to my role.
My power is to enter the dreams of others and communicate. While I am hiding in a persons dream I am immune to any night actions, however if the person dies that I'm hiding with, I die too. And on top of that there is another weakness. If I enter the dreams of too many scum, I die.
That particular weakness I intend on turning into a strength, with your help.
I don't imagine my power will remain secret for long for obvious reasons, so all I'm asking you to do is to keep track of the people I'm visiting. I dont know what the limit is for the amount of scum I can visit, but I can assume its more than 1. At a safe bet I'd say 3 seems logical given the amount of players.
So if I visit say 5 people and then i die mysteriously and suddenly then those 5 people are immediately under suspicion.
And if you dont believe me, please keep track anyway, as when I die you will see that I'm being genuine and it could be a big help later down the line.
Between possible lunching, being in the wrong persons dream at the wrong time or entering the dreams of too many scum, I cant imagine ill make it to the end so I feel its imperative to get an ally if you will

Oh my, that's so neat! Hider x Gossip, I love it. From a design perspective, of course, that death condition is a bit awful for you.
I won't spill a word about your role if you don't want me to. So, in order to keep track of your targets, what do you think of this; in your last post each day, you've got to mention or quote the player you're gonna visit. Just that one person, because if you mention more than one I'll have to guess which one you picked. Does that sound good?
This may sound suspicious from your PoV - and so it depends on how much do you trust me - but please don't tell anyone about your full role unless you totally trust them to death. If you invite someone you're not feeling great about, just tell them you're a Gossip and that's it. That way you don't give away your power to the baddies, who could take advantage of it to kill two players in a night phase. Even though that would give away one meanie with your telegraphs, we'd rather catch two or three, right?
What do you think? If you've got another strategy then go for it though, don't mean to push you to do something you don't want to.
This all makes way more sense in the context of your explanation for choosing me, so I believe it. And thanks for your trust!

I agree that quoting at the end of the day sounds good, I'll try and make it as discreet as possible. It will always be the last QUOTE, if someone asks something else of me I will mention them instead.
Kalor's vote bugs me. So does Vincent's when he removed it shortly afterwards, probably to make himself less suspicious for voting out someone he knows is Town while still going along with the general consensus
