Kalor's pokerface still impresses me. I ALWAYS Scum read him for it but he always seems so calm.

I'm just waiting for Splinter or Bear to pop in and call everyone Scum for guessing Scum Numbers.

I'm not getting the town circle thing either. I thought it was a joke but if it's an actual strategy then I have no clue how it could help town? Maybe if it forces scum that are drafted into the circle to act like the town they're in it with?

Obviously on D1 it is just BS

On D4 of Buffy probably Fran, gorlak, flush, Nicole, hom3 and me could have attempted it

There is also this strategy I read about, of the cop and masons claiming on D3, If the cop readings are still alive, that could be up to 5 confirmed townies on d3

Is that something that has been tried here?

I think that if I were to propose it I would be lynched for role fishing lol

From what I understand the idea of a Town Circle is similar to the strategy that Turmoil posted. The more Townies you can confirm/semi-confirm, the less people you have to look at in a game for possible Scum. So instead of having to keep track of 13 people and trying to figure out who is Scum there, a Cop/Mason Claims can knock out a bunch of those people so you'd only have to look at 8 or 9 people instead.

Haven't heard of that specific strategy before though Turmoil but it's a great idea. You're very right that it would likely get you lynched too hahaha. The negatives there would be if there isn't both a Cop AND Masons it would just solo out one role but honestly depending on the Game's size I see no i see with it.

Other upside is that if the vig hasn't used its shoot yet(and it shouldn't had used it), it dramatically reduces the chances of it miskilling

I'm feeling like faddy and terra aren't scummates. If one flips maf, I'd townread the other. It just seems too early to have manufactured an argument, but hmmm.

Also poor terra lol From reading Buffy and this I think he's just always aggressive D1 and people are scumreading him for it.

I don't see any issue with guessing at game setup unless you stArt heavily speculating on PRs. That's just doing scum work for them. But figuring out how many times you can FUCK UP seems fine to me, especially since we have community standards that tend to determine game size.

Yeah, pretty much. Also looking at who likes to talk about role speculation/Scum Team size but not much Scumhunting outside of that can sometimes yield Scum. Talking about it alone doesn't usually say much.

In a properly designed game, no lynching day 1 reduces the amount of mislynches a town has without giving the town any information. It is usually a mathematical disadvantage to no lynch on day 1 as a result.

Also, lynches are something that the mafia faction has little to no control over. They cannot lynch someone on their own, so they are basically at the mercy of reacting to how town players vote. By no lynching, especially on the first day of a day start game, you are handing the Mafia a significant amount of control over who lives and who dies. This usually offsets any benefits to a day 1 no lynch.

Joking aside I do it because there is always a chance to catch Scum on Day 1 or get Scum in the running. Later on when people flip it's better to look back once people are confirmed. For instance, if both trains on Day 1 were Town then Scum could have just held back and not cared. It's something to look at.

Votes against Faddy are pilling up way too much on him to be a scum and he could have avoided it all by just not bringing a touchy subjects.

Ty on the other hand, I just have a bad feeling about him, minus faddy who is in a bad position his opinion on other players switches way too quickly and for no reason.

It's still too early to make a definitive judgement with some players not showing up yet though.

To be fair he's a little more eager to play this game, which is typically what scum Splinter does. He was coming off a bad performance in Buffy though, so I could see it as a Town redemption arc.

Do I read Faddy one way or the other? not really.


Wouldn't lynch him so far though, he's at least generating discussion from others.

It's not unusual for him to miss a whole RL day. So that could be why no one's said anything, though you'd think a newer player would mention.

I don't like the fluff reasoning either, there's not exactly hardhitting analysis to be had on D1. I don't think the reasons people are jumping on Faddy are all that valid, the speculating on town prs wasn't a good move, but it doesn't feel scummy to me.

I'm just feeling lynching someone quiet today tbh

Our only action towards her was inaction. We identified her as a PR early on (N2?), but she always seemed like someone who would end up mislynched due to D1.

Depends if these lurkers provide meaningful thoughts on their mandatory 10 posts per day, otherwise they aren't helping town and deserve a mislynch. I rather keep those who keeps the conversation going and actively try to help their fellow townies.

I'm feeling Faddy as just a misguided townie. Thinking about prs seems beneficial, but not out in the open. They need to stop digging the hole deeper trying to justify it, too. I'm paying more attention to the people jumping on it, seems like really low hanging fruit.

A few times. Gafia 1 had a Day 1 Scum lynch and so did Pop Mafia. It's very rare but it's not impossible to do.
