Yeah, kinda wished we had a flip solely for some more info to go off of, but not losing someone is probably more useful.
Not sure what to expect with this extra person out here.
I didn't get a vote in yesterday, but I was good with the Verelios vote, too. Wasn't sure how much to believe about their claim because it was so vague/op.
Not sure on other town/scum reads, but there might be something with the chuggs/sneeks talk I've seen people bring up.

I don't know about Chuggs tbh. He is a definite blind spot for me. Never been able to read him very well. He has never really rubbed me the wrong way in any game. He always manages to present himself enthusiastically as town or mafia.
Sneeks is just there. I know they were busy on day and that always puts people on the back foot. And then there was the Volcano Island thing that people were playing. I saw that some people were said to be more interested in that than the game thread.
I will share this with you because hey, why not. I am in a secret chat with a few other people. It is not all harmonious in there. How would you react if someone just stopped posting in it. We don't know each other's alignment since it is one person recruiting but it certainly struck me a as strange move.

Yeah, I feel like days 1 and 2 have been a bit hard to get reads on people, between the game starting earlier than people expected, and then the second game happening. For as big of a game as this is, there have been some surprising quiet periods.
That's good info to have in general. Doesn't sound like a cult, at least, unless people are arguing about who they want to recruit.
Was there something like an inciting incident or a last good bye before they posting? With the second game going on, and now this, they might have just gotten overwhelmed.

They were pretty salty that the recruiter was scum-reading them and even used their ITA on them.
To start with i thought it was all pretty dumb but after EC flipped and it looks like there are two teams I can see them being very defensive about everything. IDK maybe people are like that.
They did a big rage quit and haven't posted since. I assume they are still reading what is going on in there.

There were a few periods in the game where tempers seemed to raise quicker than I felt natural, but it's tough to tell if it's performative or someone's just having a rough time outside of game. I usually just stop paying attention to the game for a bit when that starts to happen.

I probably can't quote directly but in the big rage quit message they used the explicit numbers of a 35 player game and 27 town. (which is the 8 mafia that zipped spoke about, this was before EC died)
Obviously even taking the 8 scum number there is no way there are no more neutrals....
So I am trying to work out what that perspective means. Does it mean they are town and only thinking about town and mafia or does it mean they are mafia and see everyone else as not mafia and shorthand that as town. Being genuinely mad you were recruited only to be scum read also feels like it could be genuine.

It's tough. A lot of times people will just default to town and Mafia, since neutrals are just as much of a threat to either.
I wonder if there was some other modifier to the chat invite? I remember back in Pokemon Mafia that scum lost access to the scum chat after being captured. (Blarg actually made up a whole list of code phrases he'd use in the game thread, in case any of them got captured, so they could still communicate) Maybe they were upset because they couldn't talk with their faction now?
They could also just feel like the recruiter wasted their pick if they weren't going to be trusted to begin with.

yeah the neighbourhood is shot limited from my parsing of what has been said.
at some point once they are out of shots more info was going to be revealed in the chat (30% the info is that we are being burned to death imo)
