The party spent the day wandering through the forest. While there was a clearing every now and then the trees were tightly packed which only allowed for a small bit of sunlight through and made the going difficult. As they made their way along they started hearing rustling sounds all around them but couldn't spot anything. Just as they hit another small clearing a pack of wild wolves attacked from all sides.

RANDOM ENCOUNTER!

The party circled up and started fighting back against the wolves. However like most canines, these wolves had a special desire to go after letter carriers and soon made a concerted effort to get at Geno. Panicking Geno broke ranks and tried to make a run for it but didn't get far before the wolves swarmed him and took him down.

As the first rays of sun started sneaking their way through the trees they discovered the corpses of TWE and Wizard. From how they were lying it appeared as if Wizard had attempt to attack TWE overnight, however TWE was able to withstand it enough to stab Wizard in the head with his pen.

In addition to your abilities your faction also has a nightly factional kill. At night anyone from your faction may submit the command Kill: Target to perform it.

You also have the ability to vote each day.

You win when your faction controls the majority of votes at day start or nothing can prevent that from happening.

I was in a gossip chat last night with someone who claimed JOAT, they also claimed to have used a weak power on nin n2.

(For those who forget weak modifier means if it targets non town the player using the action dies).

So nin is very likely town.

Alright, pre-typed report time. As I didn’t identify the shopkeeper yesterday, the shopkeeper came to me last night. I won’t name him (Fran’s already spilled the beans on his pronouns, not that it narrows things down much), but I can confirm that he’s not using a costume account. He also asked not to be identified, which I’ll respect.

We exchanged a little mechanical talk, since I think we both know each other’s reads. The shopkeeper confirmed that he is a neutral player and his win condition is to accrue enough experience from sales – he doesn’t earn daily or voting experience. Four items were offered as before, although I’ll add that they didn’t appear immediately, the shopkeeper gave the list in his second post. As Fran reported, the shopkeeper claimed that he neither chooses the items on sale, nor knows what they do. My options were:

• A treasure chest
• A roll of toilet paper
• A map of Aeredale
• A can of energy

After Ty and Fran’s experiences, I was dubious about whether or not these would do anything. The chest sounded to me like it could have been a mimic, the roll of toilet paper could have had something written on it or just been some toilet paper, the map might have just said ‘you are here’ and the energy can could have been toxic. I thought I’d take a risk, but not at a high price considering what happened previously, so I offered 2 XP for the can of energy. Following some brief negotiating, the shopkeeper accepted my offer and the thread closed.

I can confirm that unlike Ty and Fran’s items, my can of energy actually does something. If I use it as an item in place of an action command from N5 onwards, night posting will be allowed in the game thread for all players on the following night. There’ll be a restriction on how many posts will be allowed per player, but the PM that I received from Hedin didn’t confirm what the limit will be.

The shopkeeper also made it clear that if he’s kept in play until endgame, he’s prepared to position himself as kingmaker. Knowing who he is, I fully believe that.

I was ready to shoot you until Geno flipped. Geno flipping town made me doubt all my reads so I decided to go outside of my scum leans. I spend like 3 hours reading the game like crazy.
