Having defeated the monster of their past, the Rangers find themselves teleported back to the Command Center!

Zordon faces them, a pleased look upon his face as he adresses the team before him, "Well done, Rangers. Though you were weakened from lacking a member of your team you still used wit and word to defeat Rita's minion. You should be proud."

"However," Zordon muttered as his face grew suddenly stern. "We have a problem on our hands. Alpha has discovered that the strength of Evil coming from Rita's fortress has diminished with no reason. While normally this would be a good thing, the Evil itself has apparently spread over the Earth itself."

"Including you Rangers."

Silence filled the room as the Rangers stood together, still in spandex, and looked unphased by Zordon's words. Hecht looked around at his fellows and asked, "So you mean....we have a traitor in our midst?"

Zordon nodded (if a head in a tube could nod?) gravely. "I'm sorry, Rangers."

The group shrugged and muttered to each other, Grizzly even looking slightly pleased by the news. Alpha 5 glanced between them and Zordon, confused by their reaction as it was not...what he had anticipated.

Noticing this RetroMG shrugged, "Traitors and backstabbing is our Tuesday, we'll be fine."

Zordon had seen many Rangers throughout his lifetime, many Human, many not, all with varying degrees of success or failure. Yet this team that stood before him….was new. They ran head first into challenges without thinking of the consequences, willing to risk life for things they called ‘gambits’ that came with little reward, and yet despite learning the news of a Servant of Darkness in their midst they still acted friendly towards each other.

Wow, pretty incredible to get 2 deathless nights in a row. Never seen that.

I think yesterday lynch ended up going the wrong direction. Early in the phase we had a dispute between Rita and Zack, which became a Rita x Zordon thunderdome of sorts after Zack built his case on him. I think this was a good result for the day, like I explained when I voted back then, a scum flip here would give us a lot of info. Instead we were lead into Black's mislynch, which turned out to be a pretty disappointing lynch. I'm trying to read into the votes during the escalation to EoD. Let's see.

After most reactions to Zack's post was done, we had this tie between Rita and Zordon. Trini comes in and breaks it in favor of a Rita lynch.

The case Zack made against Zordon looks pretty solid. I think the various doubts swirling around Rita and the Black Ranger are certainly valid too, but they don't seem as well developed. In particular, I don't think scum would make the play Rita did with that wild role claim, it draws too much attention. I don't think it is a good town play, and it certainly raises suspicion, but that can be saved for later.

The only players that haven't voted for either Rita or Zordon are Kimberly and White Ranger, and it's in this moment that they both vote for him.

I do hate to make this two-for-two, but the Zordon reading won't be happening today, I do really need some sleep even if day end is only 3 hours away. The way I see either Zordon survives and I get to do it tomorrow, Zordon dies and flips town at which point its irrelevant, or he dies and flips scum at which point I just have to deal with the fact that I chose sleep over my last chance to be a part of that lynch train. Similarly, perhaps I would've seen something had I done reads on Blue and Green Rangers today, but I'm comfortable enough with my chosen lynch target (spoilers its Black Ranger) that they can keep if there is indeed scum there.

I did however go through the responses to Zack's reads though (I mentioned Bulk earlier) (sorry if I've missed anyone):
Rita going along with the Zordon lynch is reasonable enough to me given that she had mentioned him earlier and it did seem to me that she'd try for a push there anyway. Also, y'know, she is in a fair bit of danger here.
I was a little off-put by Skull's response given that I couldn't tell what he thought of Zordon, but he did clear that up with Rita later and given that the others he mentioned there all had some reasoning attached to them and he still stuck to his read on Rita I don't think it was suspicious.
Alpha 5 seems kinda eager to agree with Zack on Zordon, perhaps I'm reading that wrong but it is a little suspect.
Kimberly also seems to have kinda slid in onto Zordon, probably worth another look tomorrow.

Black Ranger considers Zordon after Zack's post but says that Alpha 5 is still his top priority, he then later asserts that Zordon didn't make a clear-cut case against Green Ranger, which is refuted but he still comes back later now saying that Zordon is now who he is focusing on (I know that was a fair bit of paraphrasing there, but if you think I've misrepresented something then please do point it out because that is not my intention here, I'm just too lazy to go back for quotes).

Between this, my existing scumread on Black Ranger (yes including the whole wth d2 scumteam? thing) and my town lean on Rita, I'll be dropping my vote here:

A bit after that, the thunderdome is defused and the votes get more spread. Zack follows in and votes for Black Ranger and Rita as well, some time later.

We can't know for sure now what happened with more flips, but it Kimberly and White Ranger have my attention this phase.

As for that lynch yesterday, it's hard to make much from those votes. I really didn't like Trinis vote at the time as it seemed like someone who was pretending not to know that we were close to hammer. I was hoping that no-one would hammer as I was starting to turn away from Black Ranger right at the end.

I wouldn't get your hopes up. Neo Billy has been completely MIA in our gossip chat.

I eventually gave up trying to ping him, and instead resorted to writing bad fanfiction in there inbetween unsuccessfully looking over stuff from Day 3.

I still want to lynch Zordon tho.

I thought it was pretty weird after the flip. Night 2 I tracked Trini and saw no movement. Last night no result. I breadcrumbed my role last phase too. I'm guessing she sat on me and pulled this today since I was on her.

Hoo boy I came in here at the right time. Zordon x Kimberly Thunderdome let's go! Things not looking great for head-in-a-jar so far.

Also yay for the lack of deaths. I somewhat regret switching my vote to black yesterday, I truly did thought he was about as likely to be scum as both Zordon and Rita, even though thinks drifted from Zordon as the day went along.

You suggested looking at Green N2: I read Green, checked Green, got Town. Backed off.

Spent D3 tied up by real life work stuff. Got in a tangle and checked Zordon to try to make sense of the Green push and the occasional comments against you. Got Not Town. Voted.

Man I have not even the faintest idea. Seems like a pretty stupid gambit. I don't think she did see the breadcrumb. I think she she knew I was gonna be on her today since we talked about it yesterday but who knows how she was going to spin it when I flip.

Things just got a whole lot more complicated, geez. Initial thoughts are that we have to verify Zordon’s flip, especially in light of two deathless nights and one of those days having a scum lynch. We have good momentum and are in a good place to check this out, additionally we’d get Green and Trini confirmed if this works out.

Why would scum go for a 1 for 1 at this point? They are getting completely outplayed right now, there is no need for them go for this, even if they knew you are a tracker.

Even in the off-chance that they're both town and there's some weird redirection shenanigans going on, it makes the most sense to lynch Zordon IMO, because it will force scum to:

1. NK Kimberly even though they'll be immediately scum read by town out of fear of them not being a 3-shot, and help us.
2. Not kill her and force town to lynch her, risking the fact she may have more shots.
3. Not kill her and, if they were the ones who redirected the shot, try to do it again, exposing one of their members.

Not a terrible situation IMO.
I do think we should wait for everyone to check in before turboing though, as tempting as having Sunday mafia-free is :D

Again, I’ve done everything I can and am just passing all my info on. Whether Zordon or I get lynched it gives info for Town to work with.

Didn't say she wasn't, just said it sure didn't seem like much to me. Though no one seems to be looking her posts or asking her for any evidence so I guess this is sewn up huh. Well, town is ahead and can afford to sacrifice me. That's fine I guess.

No one actually seems to give a shit about what I have to say so I'm gonna go back to holiday stuff.

It frankly doesn't matter who is lying and who is telling the truth; testing the claim is the only way to be certain. However, I think good odds are that Kimberly really is our cop.

That while Zack and Rita were the ones who the biggest initial proponents of the Zordon lynch, they bailed in favor of the Black Ranger vote for surprisingly vague reasons. At the time, Zordon was sitting at five votes to Black Ranger's three, and those two jumping ship really swung the momentum.

If Zordon does flip scum like Kimberly claims, then those two might be a place to start looking next.

Oh right, Rita was also on the lynch, so her moving her vote strategically makes sense, even if it doesn't clear her.

I still don't get why Zack made the Zordon lynch a thing in the first place only to get cold feet.

RIP me. At least wait for Trini to confirm my check since only she can. And when I flip, lynch the hell out of Kimberly. Maybe I can at least get final reads in tomorrow before I get taken down. Really think now that Blue’s aggro toward Kimberly was faked. And don’t trust Rita. I would bet Billy is what she claimed but she used him for cover.

Wait, how would Trini be able to confirm your check? You just said you saw no movement on her and Kimberly's cop town read on her is essentially...why would anyone argue otherwise?

Hmm Zordon, wouldn't pink move to guess who is Fireblend? Not sure.

I've been suspicious of Kimberly, but red check is Lynch. We see after that. I've been townreading the town checks aswell. Trini I think everybody did, but not green ranger.

I don't think Kimberly needed to do this if scum. I think only blue, zordon and me were suspicious and heat would probably be at Rita today.
