Have never been a fan of timestamp arguments like zubz just made on Bronx, no matter how accurate or not they end up being. Seems like almost cheating. (In this case, activity elsewhere besides game arguments).

I know there is no way you can eliminate them, but I have always hated them. Especially on GameFAQs where if you have the website as an active browser on your phone your timestamp updates regardless of even viewing the site.

It was my understanding we weren't supposed to talk about it because it's outside the game but I dunno if it's an official rule. It may be a gray area (unstated but accepted).

It is considered cheating under our rules, actually. Game activity is one thing, but no referencing activity outside the game.

There are similarities between PR and scum play, since both have something (usually) significant to lose if they die. You ticked all the boxes for this. You were noticeably nervous, you were only really defending yourself and not attacking anyone else, but the most damning thing was threatening your own lynch over the other players.


If I was in game, I'd probably keep my vote on you. I was straddling the line between you being PR/scum, but the threat made me fall into scum territory.



In other news, seems Sawneeks has been scum so long she's forgotten how to be good Town.

I understand that I screwed up, but I'm still under the impression that if I hadn't done the claim I was lynch material anyways. I was the easy lynch target people where going to pick. Which kinda dissapoints me, but it's true I got that coming for myself. My "nervous breakdown" should never been framed as scummy as it was framed now.

I would say Fran is scum btw.

Could have always fakeclaimed. You had a role which was interesting because you needed something that would make someone want to visit you but not kill or roleblock you. Tricky spot in the moment.

The problem is that it cannot be eliminated. Someone can always see it and just not notify the game to it. It is an impossible to police rule.

I think if you just took a break from defending your own actions and began looking for targets you'd have lived without a claim.

I didn't know I was allowed to give that info here, so I didn't use the info.

She is doing the same thing as she did in the Cluedo game and I don't think she responded that well against Sawneeks either. Plus I think her contributions were more like summaries of what other people said.

I agree and it's one of the learning points I'll take with me.

He pushes suspicion on Rac while voting on Homeland for a tie; never chances the vote, thus not voting on a town lynch. I don't think Homeland is scum, he does.
I don't like how he was ready to vote for me, even tho he almost didn't involve him in the situation. Whereas he normally has an opinion on everything. He even comments on Flush read list not having an opinion about GoG while it also hasn't an opinion on me. He also had nothing to say about my claim. It almost looks like he wants nothing to do with my death.
The Terra, Include and him convo was a whole lot of nothing.

Your reason is why I could see voting for her. The problem I have currently is Sawneeks case was built around the meta read and not much else. Though yeah, GoG's responses to it weren't very good.

The rule isn't that you can't be aware of it. It's that you can't post about it. Perfectly simple to police.

Some good developments in ConsoleWars.

Kaz using the shot was probably a good thing since it sparked a bit of discussion and shook everyone out their stupor. Good they got Mafia immediately afterwards. I like CoolestSpot for scum as well.

I thought you did OK. With your role attracting attention is kind of the point, knowing what to do with it is harder. You don't want to out a strong PR like a doctor or cop.

Also I was going to post about Fran being scum! :grumble:

I will say it's REALLY frustrating to see my scum team discussing "should we just coast now?" Not because of them - they're right; that's the problem - but because they know it will work. Town will eat itself. When are we gonna get past this in the meta?

I've read Stan's previous posts, and he didn't really do anything apart from throwing a joke vote at LP and then a prodding one at DCPat, which is what I commented on in the post you quoted. He didn't post any reads lists.

After rereading him, I'd probably mark him as Town for now. I don't think see scum actively trying to stirsomething up to get reads like he did on D1.

A lot of people do. It is impossible to enforce. It just seems dubious in nature. Especially on GameFAQs where it automatically updates your activity whether there or not via cell phone browsers. I hold zero weight into those arguments or encourage them.

Interesting spread of votes in that there is going to be a whole lot of late-ish moves as trains build and they are going to be the focus for day 3. So how and when people move is going to be the big issue.

Yeah it is fascinating. I don't like GoG's play here. I think I would be more forceful, her complaints look weak with no vote down and not really suggesting an alternative.

If anything this is a scum tell for me (GoG did the same sort of thing in Cluedo) It shows they are nervous to make posts because clearly engagement and time are not the issue for engaging the thread. I could be wrong but for new player with access to a team chat they would parse and collect their thoughts there instead of just posting in the thread with leads to traffic jam thought in huge posts.

So Console Wars is in the usual weekend funk. It should be interesting with the flips now spelling out how the game is constructed.

The Nintendo cult is probably in a bit of trouble right now with 1 dead recruit and many potential recruits dead. Nomad, Corrik, Bronx, Salva and Flux were all Vanilla and now dead. So Iwata has a good chance of hitting scum or a PR tonight.

SaucyKaz must be town but two misses this early is pretty bad for numbers. It is a tough ask to save shots and one did lead to a scum kill.

I like Godfather's aggressiveness to try and kick some people into gear but at the same time there is a hell of a lot of info to look into with the flips and votes. Seems at least a little desperate.

And did CoolestSpot just claim a PR and no one noticed?

SaucyKaz has been killing vanilla townies all over the place. I think all of his shots have been pretty poor ones, as a town vig., tbh. Assuming he's even that, 'cause they've been pretty bad shots.

It's gonna suck trying to find another successful recruit for Nintendo now.

Spoilers regarding GoG henceforth.

GoG is a JOAT. Scum role copped her last night, so her time is limited. She used an alignment check on you N1.

I think that's just inexperience to be honest, it isn't wise to cop a likely NK target.


She has a gossip chat creation and a roleblock remaining, she has to choose a chat target during the day phase to get it the following night. Wonder if she'll use it before death.

I still like CoolestSpot for scum. Agree with Apollo. Not sure about the last member. Let's say Fep just to lock in my team. He has flown a bit under the radar imo.
