I'm curious about where those percentages come from, is it based on some math or statistics? What is my percentage if stu was 75 and you are voting for me?but you just went with your honesty about RL matters from 75% scum to 55%.

What exactly made you think I was panicked? Specifically, because Kyan believes I drip fed information (why, I don't know) so I know he's looking for something, but other votes just have a general hanging on.
What am I supposed to make of Grizzly ignoring everything I’ve said to/about him?
I'm probably not going to read the last 8 pages so what's up with everyone.
as much as i love a damn good THUNDERDOME showdown I have nothing on either melon or splinter at the moment and am about to go to bed for an early work day tomorrow. yell if you want but i'm abstaining from voting for this, i can't make a call on either player having only read like 50 posts.
g'night
A no Lynch? I can feel sorian's disappointment from here. :(
I'm in a meeting at work all day so I'll be here around 2 hours before day end. Not feeling anyone at the moment outside of some folks I maybe wouldn't get rid of yet.
Can I ask those of you who voted no Lynch and did not provide a reason as to why you trust both melon and splinter enough to let them live? Thanks
What? It was an explanation, not an argument. I added more because Kyan specifically asked for more, and then said it sounds like I drip fed information. I mean, yeah, obviously if you keep asking me for more to my state of mind, you're going to get more. You didn't write down your argument in cohesive way, instead like Kyan said, you drip fed information piece by piece (as in, you kept filling/changing the story from post to post, little by little). If you had just laid it all out at once like a calm townie would have done, things would look more favorable for you.
I'm curious about where those percentages come from, is it based on some math or statistics? What is my percentage if stu was 75 and you are voting for me?
Sorry monkey, I haven't had time to read all the new pages yet. Can I ask you to quote the relevant posts?
^^my man
But I am not on board with this Stu stuff. After PR, I'm not lynching Stu day one. I see everything you, faircure, and Griz are saying and you're not wrong. But I think it's NAI in Stuart, who is coming off a rough game and is still trying to find his (maybe town?) feet. I think if he's scum it'll show but he's just gonna look worse and worse here if pushed and I fear that's a way too easy mislynch.
@Grizzly
I figure you're probably zzzz but for later - you voted Stu after I posted about how I was looking at him, but you didn't respond to me. Why not? I'd like to discuss him with you.
Little things:
Yep. I don't think I've played with NtC before but Rynam's done this before but not to this extent. No minimum count is probably going to foster this, though; no reason for people to be here. It's gonna create unknowns. But speaking of-
Sometimes. Sometimes you disappear for long stretches, too. In my experience, that happens when you're town. Just food for thought.
Why should I wait to follow up on someone I think was pushing obvious mislynch bait? Because he’s roleblocked? Meh.
90% you are sure someone is scum on day 1? Lmao. It's my own way of rating scum, my own scale, you are a solid 90% for reasons I mentioned and to which you seem not to care about them at all. So why not respond to my arguments? Why light jab me for my scale instead?
Are you ducking me Geno?90% you are sure someone is scum on day 1? Lmao.
What? It was an explanation, not an argument. I added more because Kyan specifically asked for more, and then said it sounds like I drip fed information. I mean, yeah, obviously if you keep asking me for more to my state of mind, you're going to get more.
I'm going to ask you and @Kyanrute too, was there anything different from my initial explanation that changed after I was asked for more?
Agreed, if he did it again I would be inclined to lynch him, but as it is now he may just replace out like in HvV. If not we ITA him.I'm just going to say.
Rynam is a fucking shit lynch and you should all be ashamed of yourselves. We have ITAs to pick off lazy players. Don't waste lynches and don't waste vote logic. It is too easy to hide in a Rynam lynch.
There are plenty of mafia out there and some of them are playing. Let's lynch one of them.
90% you are sure someone is scum on day 1? Lmao.

Explanation was #649, everything else was from repeated asking.I am unsure how to answer that question as I gather that our viewpoints differ on the "initial explanation". It was and is my view that the initial explanation was completed at #709 and everything after was the so called more. I guess we can start with: do you agree with this?
I'm just going to say.
Rynam is a fucking shit lynch and you should all be ashamed of yourselves. We have ITAs to pick off lazy players. Don't waste lynches and don't waste vote logic. It is too easy to hide in a Rynam lynch.

Making fun of you? I would never make fun of another player. Let me tell you somethin, these are extremely high percentages you are using. Especially on D1 where there's not much to go off of. Even if someone looks extremely scummy on D1, it's still not a 90%. I saw you did this in HvV as well, you were wrong in some cases. Take this as advice.I see you have been negging, sorry, not gonna work on me, do you know why? Scum!Sorian used it on me through the entire Buffy game, so I am immune to being dismissed and made fun of. Nice try but it's not gonna work.
Agreed, if he did it again I would be inclined to lynch him, but as it is now he may just replace out like in HvV. If not we ITA him.
You're probably right. The trouble is, I can't really make out that much amongst the noise of so many players. Rynam may be a shit lynch, but it's a vote that I can tie a small shred of logic to. It's not much, but it's the best I've got for today.Rynam is a fucking shit lynch and you should all be ashamed of yourselves. We have ITAs to pick off lazy players. Don't waste lynches and don't waste vote logic. It is too easy to hide in a Rynam lynch.

No minimum in this game so no one's replacing out unless they request it.Agreed, if he did it again I would be inclined to lynch him, but as it is now he may just replace out like in HvV. If not we ITA him.

Feel like scum chat would be telling him to get back in there and engage and he'd see it if he was lurking hard.
Anyone wanna take out Natiko with me
it'll be fun
In HvV he swapped out because he felt like he would drag the team down if he stayed. It's more about actually helping rather than trying to hit the minimum I feel like.No minimum in this game so no one's replacing out unless they request it.
he's a good player who's contributingwhy not
0% interested in lynching a new day one without some wild scum equity built up. Nope.Let's kill Blade
Nope. Didn't say you had to. I'm saying you were treating melon's reaction like it was a hard indictor but how could it be when we didn't have Splinter's? And if Splinter took the easy way out, why was melon your vote and not Splinter?@heymonkey It's interesting that you seem to take a dislike to my logic. I feel like I've said everything there was.
You made the leap and said I had to wait for Splinter/his reaction, before making a choice, but that wasn't necessary in this circumstances. I myself have very specific memory of holding such a power in another game. Someone initiated this dome, melon looked prepared and ready, that's it.
Splinter's appearance didn't change anything, he took the easy way out by not being confronting which lead to a majority. I currently don't know what to make of that, but we'll have plenty of time to decipher the proceedings in days 15 to 39, with more flips.
he's a good player who's contributing
Where's the fun in that
Cause I'd rather take a lynch that 100% happens over a 15% chance for it to happen tomorrowWhere's the fun in not doing it yourself?
You seem to want to be pampered. Be your own (con)man.

Thanks @heymonkey
To discuss Stuart - I didn't follow PR so I can't really comment on him based on that game. I'm basing my view on Stuart on him trying to please people - I feel like someone is actively helping him outside this thread. First he backed down from his No Lynch stance in a lazy manner, and now he is suddenly become lot more "assertive", in a complete 180 from his earlier meekness. Getting a good sleep might be a part of it, but it also feels like to me he is getting an outside help, something a scum team could help with. We were both scum in Monopoly, and I remember a similar scenario where we mentored him. His somewhat changing behaviour feels like that same here - him adjusting to advice given to him somewhere outside this game thread. So no, I don't think he is mislynch bait - there could be something here.
Cause I'd rather take a lynch that 100% happens over a 15% chance for it to happen tomorrow
I totally forgot about @CoolestSpot . Do you have any new thoughts to share? You kind of fell off the map.
If he's developing based on advice, though, then he will continue to develop and I don't see any reason at all to lynch him today. I also find it... let's say interesting... that your defense for yourself is that it's your meta but you're only interested in looking at one meta for Stuart. That, too, will develop, I expect.
but shouldn't we ... like make a case to convince others? Our 2 votes won't hurt him in a 26 majority vote?to the...end of the day? Time only works in one direction, Gorlak

Be honest, did you expect a detailed account of my thoughts at the moment? All right. I'll use that as a reference point. "Was there anything different from my initial explanation that changed after I was asked for more?"
Different, strictly no. Vague, yes. The drip feeding comes from that. The initial post did not explain your train of thought up to the same detail as the later posts did (those after #709).
while my argument against Stuart is "He seems to want to please everyone, and it feels like he is being mentored behind the scenes".
I remember that @Natiko asked me why I chose Geno in the event, but I never got to answering that before going to bed. I chose him because he was one of the runner ups for the ones to receive most votes in first phase, and I wanted to choose one of those players. I assumed that there won't be that harsh of a penalty for first event, so I didn't really think much of it.

Oh, really? What parts of it were conjured and why?Hmm, I expected a clearer account. Let's call it somewhat detailed. The initial explanation (and things before #709) was / were vague enough for it to be something that was conjured up on the spot.
Did you do that manually?
In fairness, you're basing your assumption of me off a previous game as well and in my first game. I'm still newbish but more experienced. I have no one to help me similar to PR so I'm just doing my best by myself.
The argument against you and me may not be 100% the same but they are similar in that they are both being based off a past game. People don't really have much meta to use against me at the moment though so I can't blame you entirely for feeling like that if you think that's how I come across since you only (as you admit) have one game to base me off of.
Meta is a fickle beast. That said, I wouldn't say the argument against me and against Stuart is completely the same. I'll admit I haven't read all of the most recent pages yet, but the argument against me seems to be mostly "He plays the same as in Monopoly", while my argument against Stuart is "He seems to want to please everyone, and it feels like he is being mentored behind the scenes".
The feeling that you are being mentored behind the scenes isn't really tied to past meta though. I would feel like it even if this was our first game together ever, or if this was the 20th.
I feel vaguely insulted D:Some cold lunch break skim reads from Sneeks:
Not a big fan of the current Lynch choices which I believe are Vere and Ry? If I had to pick either I'd go....Ry. Vere isn't feeling scummy.
Still dislike how people are so hesitant to kill but I can't do anything in depth read on that
I really like Natiko atm and this sort of worries me?
Part of me feels all current active posters are Town and Scum are the quiet bunch. Not much is jumping out.
Let's kill Blade
Which logically makes sense if you're trying to win. Was more wondering if you had put thought into the penalty but it sounds like that is a no.I remember that @Natiko asked me why I chose Geno in the event, but I never got to answering that before going to bed. I chose him because he was one of the runner ups for the ones to receive most votes in first phase, and I wanted to choose one of those players. I said if Vere (or the original bottom three, I forget at which point I suggested it) wanted to actually match they should name Geno or Xbro as they were the ones most likely to be listed again. That's just odds.Natiko said people should choose Geno in the Event.
A mildly serious answer, you've got me thinking now, what do you have to worry about kyaaaa, where's your free spiritTrying to do what? I guess I'll cover all the bases. Shitpost? Not really. Superb sidecommentary? Can't call it trying but I've dropped some. Minor to major-minor content? I'd say yes. Actual content? To who do you think you are talking to?
How do you feel that somebody is mentored btw. What points you to that?
This is a really good catch. What I’m struggling to piece together is what the plan would be here if he’s scum. I would guess Blade was scum with him based on his vote, but why then would Blade not self vote? Whatever it was something clearly did not pan out as hoped.
Sure, but if he’s scum then the question is what was he hoping to accomplish with the vote? Did he have a teammate in the above group? And if so, which one screwed the vote?
If they’re a team why doesn’t Vere just self vote to ensure scum get an item while not calling attention to his scummate?
But voting his teammate isn’t worse and just as obvious? I feel like self voting would’ve been much easier to explain as well. Pretty easy to just play the “I know my alignment” card.
The difference is in a normal lynch I get to pick between people I scum read. I re-read both Melon and Splinter and still came away leaning town on both just as before. Given they’re some of my few town reads and that we’ll be lucky if I wake back up before this whole shebang ends I’m going to
VOTE: No Lynch
At least this way I’m leaving a record of my thoughts instead of just doing nothing. If I wake up early I’ll try and sprint read through any new messages in case actual discussion around this event happens that changes my mind. Otherwise I feel comfortable leaving it at this since I doubt Sorian rigged the game which means this is probably an RNG thunderdome between two townies. Night folks.
I'm not feeling like Stuart is being mentored. Maybe if he was making big, thought out posts I'd think he was getting fed points but he's just been generally active and asking questions. I feel like that's harder to fake, esp if he was nervous scum. He also got kinda pinholed at the start with the no lynch discussion and didn't have much time to talk freely, so I think that could contribute as well?
Him making changes to his behavior that don't feel natural. His stance to no lynch being first, then him suddenly becoming more assertive after being called out from being meek.
I don't think you need to be mentored from the outside to act like that. Even more, I hope that is not the case.
Oh, really? What parts of it were conjured and why?
Hell yeah!Mhm, let's get some votes down. Let me recap:
Verelios was overly anxious with some explanation around the event and was seen as panicking
Rynam conveniently looked into the thread just when the event happened and faded out afterwards.
Geno's general attitude once again makes him rile up votes, it seems?
Out of those I'd pick Rynam, but he's not leaving a huge trail behind him, so low info lynch isn't the best.
Shall we shake things a bit?
@Hecht Natiko train is out, no one wants to vote because why not, how about we try one of my ideas now? Vote out Kawl?
@Splinter you in?
Vote: Kawl
Probably combined Sorian's count from pre-event and post-event.Did you do that manually?
Wait, has Blarg even posted yet?
It's not exactly easy to decide on somebody to vote with so many people, for me at leastAlso we're currently at 19/50 votes which is under half the participants with just under 3 hours until days end.
Those two things aren't mutually exclusive or vague though. If I was being vague then I would've just said I voted Blade and that's it.I guess I could've tossed a "could've been" there. Feel free to accuse me of vagueness now. I am referring to my confusion regarding your reasoning for the Blade vote pick i.e. you mentioned that Blade's high amount of votes influenced yor pick. I interpreted this to mean that you thought that high votes meant you had a higher chance of being right whereas you later explained it with seeing a big block of votes and just going with it.

I'm here.I take it @Geno just ghosted
The series of questions was me trying to work through the scenarios out loud - the theories that were being thrown around didn't add up for me (e.g. Vere and Blade being scummates). On a surface level (Vere gave Blade the item!) it works, but once you think about the logic behind it it fell apart. I feel like it's practically guaranteed that scum joined the game, but I have yet to be able to glean what occurred due to not having enough info. I mention that in a different post that you didn't quote. Some Natiko WIFOM what to me at the time (and still) felt ehh. Had that "look at me I am talking!" -vibe to it. My issue is that how could one even expect to come up with THE answer out of all the possibilities. I can think of one ok explanation for these posts at least, maybe Natiko will pick it too.
Covering all bases rawr look at townie me being all town.
Now that insanity is over, let me discuss how I feel about Verelios and the mistake:
I thought it was a mistake at the time it happened and I still do. After all, getting confused/panicked especially with a first-time event in this game could have happened to anyone or at least, so I believe.
I can understand why some may think it was scum play but then why would Scum!Verelios willingly take the risk of taking a penalty especially not knowing what the penalty was? I don't know.. it just doesn't seem like a scum move to me though I could be proven wrong in the future.
I'm here.
Those two things aren't mutually exclusive or vague though. If I was being vague then I would've just said I voted Blade and that's it.
Can you remind me why that was?Kawl is the thunderdoming scum though, so let's lynch him.
