But you never mentioned all those at the same time. You 1st mention the number of votes as a reason. It is only after that I point out that based on that reasoning, you should've contemplated other candidates as well. You change the reasoning and say that you just picked a candidate at the top of the list. It is only now that you combine that all into one thought that you supposedly had at the time you voted. You are not being consistent.

Anyways, I just finished reading through the thread. I’m surprised an event happened Day 1, and sad that I missed it. I hope to participate in at least one of those.
As for my potential vote for today, that list of players that signed up for the event seems like a good starting point, if only to narrow down the number of lynchees. Of course, it’s entirely possible that the scum team decided ahead of time not to sign up for early events so that they could blend in with the larger player base.
That said, anyone who has played with me before should remember that I don’t really consider anyone a good lynch for Day 1 since there is so little info to go off of, and I don’t expect this game to be an exception. I will lynch someone for sure, though, even though I’d feel bad that they wouldn’t be able to experience the craziness Day 2 onwards would bring.
(Oh, and I promise to update my avatar.)

You open the list, see a few votes for me and then a ton for Blade. I question the need for panic to begin with, but in a scenario where someone does happen to be panicked I feel I can see just jumping on Blade. The sticking point is definitely the specific citing of Blade’s vote count. I’m inclined to believe Verelios, but it’s tricky.

If you are being genuine, I imagine I am. Regardless of your alignment, I can't escape the feeling that you are trickling down the details drop by drop. The fact that you never did a detailed explanation at the start really makes me feel that not all the drops are coming from the same source. The presentation is problematic to say the least.

"I fucked up" implies that you did something that you later thought was wrong. The something we can get from that (the vote) but things like "what made you change your opinion" and "why did you think that wrong thing was right in the 1st place" weren't something we could get just from that. There was a lot of confusion in the mini game thread itself so I at least felt it wasn't reasonable for everyone to be at the same page in regards to speculating why someone did what they did.

Mm, so I'm at the end of today's play and can't say that I have a great deal to go on. I have a gut feeling that Stuart's OK so far from the earlier discussion, but it's no more than instinctive. As for Vere... I don't know - would scum try something so overt in an event that's likely to draw so much scrutiny? D1's the ideal time for them to lie low and be forgettable, I'd have thought. Still, that's veering into WIFOM territory, so I'd rather not overthink it.
Hopefully there should be a bit more to go on tomorrow, although being D1, I'm not exactly holding my breath for any massive giveaways at this juncture. G'night, folks.

This is where I’m at. It’s very likely he was confused because I was confused as to what was happening at the time too (as were many others it seems). Combine that with Sorian pinging him halfway through when he realized the count was messed up alongside there not being a formal timer posted probably didn’t help matters considering when Vere showed up more than the allotted time had passed. What I don’t get is what happens immediately after the vote.
@Verelios Why did you suddenly wish you had chosen Geno? The gap between your initial vote and your regret is all of a minute. What happened in that time to change your mind? @Grizzly @nin1000 Why did you two choose Geno as well?

I still feel pretty good in my vote there compared to some of the others that have pinged my radar. He showed back up and did discuss more for one post, but after that it was right back to being a light presence. He joined the event, and commented on Vere; however, I still don’t see much there. I’ve come to expect more of Apollo, he’s been really strong in some of our recent games. He has very much not shown that so far.
Other concerns - Vere, empress, Kawl, and a long list of people that showed up once or less.
I’m feeling pretty good about Melon, Terra, Include, you, and Splinter off the top of my head as far as town reads go.

Funny that you should mention this. I was getting the same feeling. Not only that but the interactions between him and Vere are very similar to him and Stuart in Monopoly. If Vere flips scum, which there is a good chance of happening, then Grizzly's chances of being scum skyrocket.
Right now I'm 60/40 scum/town on Grizzly. If Vere is scum that goes up to 80-85/20-15.
As far as Vere is concerned I genuinely believe he was confused about the rules of the game. That's not what I'm suspicious of him. I mentioned before that his vote on the monkey was flimsy at best enough so that he completely disregarded it without making it official by the vote tracker. The problems with the current argument stem not from him being mistaken in the event but how panicked he is about the whole thing.

This game is gonna be tough for keeping up to speed during the week. My gut feeling is that Vere is probably on the level, don't know if he's town or scum, but I don't think he's trying to pull a fast one in regards to the way the event unfolded. No idea where my votes gonna land for day 1 at the moment, should be home tomorrow with an hour and change before deadline.

I'm still down on Terra. His little conversation with Fireblend did little to help. He has done a couple of things I like but they seem rather obvious ways of picking up townie points. Calling out lurkers for joining the event. Bear did the same thing and it is so clearly virtue signalling that they are town and investigating the game that it becomes an easy way for scum to blend in.
Melon and Splinter I'm not really reading. Like I am skimming over their stuff.
Vere I am reading and am still undecided which way to fall.
My good feels are Nomad, nin, Alexem and Grizzly. And Stan was towny. I'm pretty sure you are town too.

I primarily feel good about Terra due to the exchange with Melon. It felt genuine, and I don’t see scum making such a fuss early on. It’s not a lock, but he’s a town lean currently in my book. I’ll agree on Stan - his posts have felt a lot like the last couple games I’ve played with him where he was town.
Have we ever seen a scum Nomad? He seems normal to me, but I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen him as scum to know if he’d act any different.
No, Nomad has not been scum in any previous game, I think. Hard to get a fix on what he's doing here - he's been ramping up engagement in the last few games; in mini I remember we discussed whether that extra effort(ish) was scum Nomad but it wasn't so I don't think it's AI. Just something to watch with the rest of the pile.
