Mafia has had extra kills revealed, which was what made me hesitant on neutrals. Splinter, for example, had an extra kill of a different kind each night. I can’t find the list of dead scum someone compiled to find the others. The other JOAT had one that only worked on protected targets that probably never went off?
ohhh, didn't catch that in splinter's pm. i'll go dig up the pms, haven't paid much attention there besides generals. honestly i'd be surprised if a sorian game didn't have neutrals bc i get the impression he really likes them but that's just a meta point lol
Actually, you got the gist. Our thinking is similar.
I suspect at least one of the two (geno also has two scum kills, right?) of them are just claiming scum mistakes as their own kills for town cred. Maybe even a more active “hey I’m going to shoot at you sorry if it connects” mixed in.
gotcha, definitely possible. i could see brazil's point with how geno's reads weren't feeling authentic and it was kinda uncanny how he kept hitting scum. the apollo hit at least couldn't have been planned out, scum couldn't discuss in chat during the event or have knowledge of it. his hits at natiko couldn't have been reasonably expected to connect unless he got hit with some boost, but with plenty of those roles already having flipped i don't think that happened.
my working theory if geno is scum is that grizzly bussed him in the first event and then vere got confused and geno took that opportunity to clash a bit with a teammate. the train actually got momentum and geno stayed on for that town cred when vere flips. when the whole day was done and over with the team noticed that they had three teammates already in the spotlight who were going to die soon, so they had to start making some plays and stuff to get other teammates in good positions. and geno's position looking really good in retrospect was brought up and he got the okay to bus more so they could have a relatively safe townread teammate. and then once he got that pretty universal townread he could try to control the flow and make some scummy plays like forcing sawneeks to claim.
he's also been really weird about his claim i think. when i claimed vanilla and said it was bc i townread geno hard and wanted to take the hit for him if he was a pr he made some noise about being really important when he didn't have to soft and no one told him to claim. and it kinda sticks out in my mind that when i was talking to include about geno she replied to everyone except me and i was the only one that brought up about the event stuff. it could've been owed to that i'm not sure she understood the event all that well but she could've also been trying to avoid the subject, i'm not sure.
dc is just such a weird target for me to believe blade actually chose him for a kill. it doesn't help that blade hasn't really talked about his reads too much so i can't even say he had people he scumread more. but dc was one of the quieter and not too suspected scum so i could see him submitting one of the kills which somehow went awry. scum has had some interesting roles so i think it's possible they have something like a track which would give them insight into what happened. vere being a role cop was an information based role, so i could see more.
rynam i'm not as sure on. there's less roles happening in the day so i don't think its possible that that kill was a mistake or anything. it could've been a bus, no one was trying to keep him alive. do you think the mafia would've actually used a private kill on their own? :x tbh this part is really coming off to me as town.
the daykills in general have me feeling weird. stuart and monkey i see mafia motivation for. but people like nin and kyan who died earlier on i'm totally lost on why they were picked.
