Sparkster does feel a bit more coherent and engaged so far. Suspiciously so.

Wouldn't be against his lynch.

Oh goddamnit! Would have been the first time for both

being recruited and being scum at all.
They ended up with a successful recruit, but not the person they targeted.. I think they’re regretting not targeting you lol

Earliest I ever died. Why did scum kill me? Where they afraid of my vast academic knowledge?
One of them suggested you since you “had a solid day 1” and it just sort of became their decision without much else being said lol

I died because of something boring like this? Smh

Almost want to ask who the scum team is but I'll wait one or two days first to try figuring it out myself a little bit

Haven’t had any time to follow TMBG. Hopefully I get a chance to read up on it knowing who the scum team is lol

Unfortunately, it happens. I was killed in Love Boat 2 because I had a solid case against a scum player. No matter your role, if you become a voice of reason, you are automatically a target.

I won't lie melon having two actions in a single night would make me suspicious.

Though some reactions of other players to the claim would make lynching splinter a must.

His defense isn't great either.

I assume there's a lie there right

Because doing two things in one phase would break a lot of roles or bring significant ambiguity to them.

cabot

Why.
Yeah I don't doubt she had the ability to kill and cop, I doubt being able to do them both at the same time.

How does a role block work? Tracking?? Redirect?

It's not been done before as far as I know.

cabot

Why.
At any rate, its fairly worrying no one seems to be bringing that up outside of Blarg. It's at least worth a discussion

cabot

Why.
Did kits just imply lynching neutral is more important than lynching scum?

She's ringing lots of alarm bells right now

Let it be noted that flavor is pretty much on point thus far as far as religion goes...and somewhat so as far as alignment goes. -_-

There is, though she actually had three abilities last night occurring at once if you want to be technical.[//spoiler]

Fluff being on point is up to the moderator, it shouldn't be used to determine anything serious in game.

Learned that the hard way with wrasslin mafia

A flavor cop for commands in TMBG could've been cool, though it would probably need to be scum, and I don't know how I'd work it in with their songs.

Metal Detector would be interesting with the vig, though our vig doesn't kill with a gun according to flavor. I ended up making that a cover role for scum

In a game like mafia where nearly no information is concrete, an indicator is better than no indicator at all.

In this case, we can see that the character religions have largely corresponded to their narrative counterparts. Religion goals are set each day and we can speculate as to who is going for those goals. That information can be used to help corroborate role claims or it can cast suspicion on some players. Ignoring a game mechanic in its entirety because flavor might not line up 100% of the time seems silly to me.

I was not going to leave a great breadcrumb? I would've literally stated my target with a agreed emoticon.

Did Faddy screw me over? How would it even have worked if I was targeting a Godfather?

I'm not sure I understand the questions. What has you concerned? As for the second question, theoretically it would work exactly like targeting a vanilla townie.

On the Godfather part; that's clear, thank you.

About Faddy, he got me confused by his comment I would not have left a clear breadcrumb. But I guess he meant for the thread, not for him.
So I'm back to trusting Faddy.

Would you mind telling me what happened with his night action?

He has an x-shot deflect, where any action that targets him that night will go to a target of his choosing

Ah, that explains his question right of the bat in the gossip. He must've really thought he was the NK, because he was talking about doing something bad to someone.

Yeah, he tried to. Unfortunately for him he actually helped scum... lol

I'm probably going to regret saying this, but although I still would've scumread Splinter if this Melon claim wouldnt have happened, I'm inclined to believe Splinter now. I don't even know I would've said ingame if I was still alive. Kill the redcheck.

This all seems very much like Dusk in Animu mafia, though maybe with some night action fuckery rather than outright stupid gambit.

It's probably going to be as damaging to Town though.

looks like Comrade Sparkster's gambit might pay off for scum - someone caught on

I will admit, part of why I went with a theme that a number of players aren't familiar with (and doesn't lend itself well to good/bad dichotomies) is because while I like having some strong flavor present, I'm not a fan of pages and pages of people trying to use it to solve the game. There's still time for that to come up in this game, but with the way it's set up, I'm expecting whatever we do get of that to be minimal

If I have the option between someone who no or low posts constantly and someone throwing shit at the wall constantly I can tell you which way I’m breaking until some cold hard #scumtells start dropping.
And i want to make it clear in my earlier post I’m not talking about people who literally don’t post but people who post in the 3-15 day count for the entire game. We can say it’s a valid strategy and all that shit but I ain’t got to like playing with it and I’ll use everything in my power to curate the game state to one I enjoy more.

oh fuck

from the looks of it, our Experimental Filmmaker will likely out themselves as the tracker to lynch our doctor, the Bluebird of Friendliness

Danny Weinkauf is the Bus Driver, and he switched Dan Miller with the Bluebird

the Lazy Boyfriend tried to give a Dorito to the Bluebird and failed, but the band has the Dorito and is killing the Dorito Vendor

I swear I should work on that Doritos mafia game I've want to work on

And I'm not certain with it being a scum power. Even less so due to the double kill. Getting a Double Kill and activating a Double Lynch at the same time.
ooh, that sounds fun

a bit on the strong side, though, perhaps?

So... I'm assuming I was killed by a vigilante (most likely town)? I guess it was due to my vote on Sparks, even though I thought I justified it well enough. Sparks made that role claim post in the middle of me typing up my post asking if Lone_Prodigy was not a valid lynch target anymore, so that was some unfortunate timing.

I have no idea what Doritos do, can someone explain that to me?

As for who I think are the remaining scum:

1. Stuart444
2. rac
3. battousai
4. Kawl (least confident about this one)

I think focusing on votes made after the role claim is a mistake. Of course people would vote for Sparks after making an unbelievable claim like that. Even someone like me, who typically gives people the benefit of the doubt, did not believe him.

At least this is going far better than Game of Mafia lol. Guess I dodged a bullet there despite preferring that game.

Kalor

Kay-lor? Kah-lor?
I'm glad I didn't bother rereading D1 during the night because I was half expecting to be killed. Although I did get really into the game towards the end of the day.

I was a bit mixed on my role. I figured that it was only to create more confusion for a potential tracker so since the dorito isn't beneficial, I didn't really have a reason to use it. Depending on how I was spotted, it would only disadvantage town.

cabot

Why.
Woops. Might be a slip up on our part there.

The vendor shouldn't be optional, he must give an item out to someone.

It's a negative tracker utility. Not really negative if you don't have to do it.

Do you guys think we should discuss about Kalor's ability? That dorito thing sounds weird.

I mentioned it earlier but I'd love to know wth a Dorito is in this game. The role text doesn't really tell us anything and all I can think of is this:
