SCUM UP!
Retro you gotta increase the text contrast for the Dark themes, that grey doesn't do any favours to my reading ability jeez
By having an early guideline on how players behave/interact, even if these are just brief ideas (as my post was not particularly detailed either) we hamper the ability of scum to frame the narrative and control the flow of the game. If we just have players post randomly on D1 we give them a plethora of excuses and ways to frame their behavior in a certain way.
Yep, he did it in-Squidy has done this exact thing before.
He claimed cop, turned out it was a cop in fluff.
andthereitis.gifMonkey, were you in Anime?
Neither, I'm sorry. That post was very ill-worded. I'm saying it puts the doctor, if we have one, in a bad position. They now have to add "do I protect Squidy?" to any other questions of whom to cover tonight and have to spiral trying to weigh his claim against anything else going on in the game. Just as everyone has has to be all - do we trust him? Do we weigh his words against other actions? It forces something immediate and potentially artificial. Maybe there's a method there. But I'm thinking back to anime and wondering if it helped or if it distracted. Are you telling the Doctor to protect squidy or not? You say he didn't play to town's interests but then you say we should keep him alive because he knows about Town's best interests.
What's the point of your homework assignment Faddy, what does trying to think why a moderator chose his player list achieve exactly?
Why did you answer the most dubious thread of thought first, Monkey.
Some doctor you are.
Not a doctor. And that was, for me, the easiest to speak to of the three threads I wanted to address before lunch, so it came first. Why are you so concerned with the order of my posts? Does it matter in the grand scheme? Why did you answer the most dubious thread of thought first, Monkey.
Retro add font sizes bigger than 7 please
In any movie/book/tv show I have ever read the first thing people do when they have been sequestered somewhere is look for some sort of identifying link.
I personally think I am here because I play a very open game and am not adverse to openly building alliances rather than just relying on slight coercion. Also because I screwed up the end of Arkham which was pretty bad (still screw you Bronx).

quoting for recognition of effortWhy don't you write all your posts in colours
Because I'm inactive! You caught me!No. If we do it we do it today. Someone always argues they have better reads than inactivity on later days
Why are you so interested in protecting inactives anyway? Seems like very anti-town behaviour to stopped us lynching against one of the most common and most successful Scum tactics.
Because I'm inactive! You caught me!
Fuck, we all got pulled for this game because we're deductive geniuses! I've solved the case!
On that note, we all know d1 reads are shit. But can we not pretend we legitimately can't tell the difference between contributing and shitposting or wasting time

And we'll never know whether that is the real reason you were chosen in this game because the moderator doesn't offer the thoughts.
Again, why does this help in the general goal of hunting the scum?
Because then you can do nothing but shitpost without fear of lynch. If day 1 reads are all shit then why is using a defined metric like number of posts such a bad idea.
Does it hinder hunting scum?
Why are you being so precious about giving a reason for being picked for this game?
who's the hiding centipede in this game!?
It does actually.
Easy topic to jump to if you're scum and isn't in your best interests to hunt scum.
I clearly feel your path of thought is pointless, so why should I indulge you
4/10Because then you can do nothing but shitpost without fear of lynch.
"Contributing means convince me you're trying even if d1 is hard." Looking back at d1 is enlightening later in the game. Not so if we're just lynching least posts. What a stupid fucking idea. And it's not even what squid actually suggested.
Vote: Faddy
Well you clearly are indulging me. If you really didn't care you could just ignore the suggestion altogether.
I do care, because this isn't something I would expect a Town player to focus on.
Indulging you is giving you what you want, I've questioned it instead.
Glad to see Feps is as friendly as always.
You say you can read faddy well. What serious answer could he be legitimate expecting? I literally already explained my position in the post Faddy was responding. His response was s "hot take".Sarcasm is not wildly helpful.
Don't think this will go anywhere considering who's playing, whats your plan if someone disregards your idea of trying to play to sensible guidelines?
Lynch?
I can only talk about what influences my own vote. No more important than any other vote.VOTE: flatearthpandas
I think you think you're important. Do you?
So you claimed I was using a conversation starter as a deflection tactic yet instead of either answering and moving on or simply ignoring it, you have turned it into a thing to get sidetracked by. Have I fallen into your trap of distracting me?
Or we can just vote whoever has the least amount of time every phase with no consideration for content!
Lol.
Anyway, my vote criteria is clear i think.
Cabot, you always said my welcoming personality is what won you over
Let's just all turn on the people who haven't checked in yet and eat them.
That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there--on an emote of fuss suspended in a white screen.
Yes. Pushing anti-town agenda while town is still in discussion about how to approach the game. On post-to-post basis, IIRC, Faddy posts a bunch of shit but can be insightful. So the only player non-ironically arguing for bad town play right now imo.is Faddy scum based on your thoughts?
We'll pick someone, don't worry. Might as well be the cop, at least we can be sure of that one.We only have an hour and 6 days to pick our target today, and we've not even gotten the day 1 formalities out of the way. Not sure this is gonna happen
Blarg, you are my favorite.
So, listen. I think it's actually pretty simple in this case. We are here because Ouro, Self-Appointed Mafia God of Being Forever Right, doesn't like something about how we play. Maybe a one-off thing, maybe a regular thing, who knows, it's all his whim. So Ouro, Self-Appointed Mafia God of Being Forever Right, wants to learn us.
Let's rebel and just do the damn thing harder. BLARG, DEPLOY THE GIFS.

I once travelled to China on a journey of self discovery. It was a long and tedious adventure, full of unbelievable dangers and wonders beyond the human mind. There on a mountaintop a wise man who had been meditating for years, gave me a piece of his ancient wisdom: "When in doubt, vote nin."

Because of that, i will give everyone a fresh start. i dont want it to end like last time.I think it is fair we go in on each other a bit over that but not much since it ended badly last time.
So town snipes at each other because town is active and suspicious, maybe a scum gets in there to guide sniping/look townie, we kill each other off slowly while others hang back, the cycle continues, etc.
Sarcasm is not wildly helpful.
I'm not against lynching inactives, but every game I've played the consensus has been against doing so and thus I'd prefer not to waste time on it.
Please do go on.As for my cop claim, consider it a sanity check and a lot of you came off looking very.... sicilian.
Vote: Karkador honestly the scummiest scum that ever scummed.
which games have you played where town excelled?
As for my cop claim, consider it a sanity check and a lot of you came off looking very.... sicilian.
Please do go on.
Because
I'm thinking "Why am I here?" and indeed why are we all here. I know some people have a rep or are regarded as strong players or are particularly active but I look down the list and see no one profile of characteristics I can think of that has brought us together as a collective.
So homework. Everyone should give a reason why they think they have been chosen by Ouro.
What I want to know from people on D1 is an impression on who they are, what they consider important, how they want to approach the game. Things that we can hold them accountable for later in the game.
1. From my experience, D1 contributions are historically unreliable as evidence (compared to the rest of the posts), with few extremely obvious counterexamples (such as D1 BS claims).
2. Framing the idea of giving other players an idea on who they are dealing with as "tactics" is odd.
3. It is precisely when we, as Town, have no information, that we should want players to give us an impression on who they are.
4. On the one hand you want people not to "be locked into tactics on day 1", on the other hand you people to read out inconsistencies.

This is extremely stupid. We're all clearly here because Ouro either finds enjoyment playing with us or hates it so much that he wants to push some suffering on the others.
So Sorian does Ouro enjoy playing with you or hate you?
Could you please separate the players in this game into those 2 categories. Thanks.
