I think my problem is that the police and loyal couriers do almost the same thing.
Messenger only needs to use the code. Alternatively, ask one of the first messages to use a specific word / image in a step that they can use to confirm receipt of the message.
I think it is better to do something bigger than standard police coordination. (Probably a clean two-shot cop)
Do mirrors know they are mirrors? You shouldn't know because this is a sneaky game.
I don't think you need to beat Pyro in the game. I don't think the game is big enough, and I pay close attention to how to hit it.
I think my issue is that the alignment cop and loyal messenger do almost exactly the same thing.
The messenger just needs to use a code. Either ask the person to use a specific word/image in one of their opening posts of a phase which can be used to confirm they received the message.
I think doing something more instead of a standard alignment cop would be best. (perhaps a 2 shot parity cop would be neat)
Does the Miller know they are a Miller? Since this is a bastard game they don't have to know.
I don't think we need more killing with an arsonist in play. I don't think the game is big enough and puts a lot of emphasis on the vig making the correct shot.
Then we should consider the alternative that the message just disappears because she steals it, and no one reads it.It seemed inconsistent that the messages are made so scum can’t read it, but she can if she steals it.
This is effectively a framer role

hmm Lisa corrupting messages that get switched by her sounds reasonable, I already made points up top (didn't notice these messages xD)What if the switcher switches messages like expected, but also corrupts them in some way? Maybe stupid idea, but I was thinking back and forth translation. Here’s eng->rus->jap->spa->eng so relatively unaltered:

True. I've already made suggestions in the thread previously, but I still Heather being a parity cop with that delay may help especially if they are a 1 shot.We could replace the parity cop with something completely different so we don’t have to think about having two cops
*2-shotTrue. I've already made suggestions in the thread previously, but I still Heather being a parity cop with that delay may help especially if they are a 1 shot.

ooooh. I meant 1 shot in they can only check two players over one night once, but 2 makes sense XD*2-shot
1-shot parity cop is a vanilla town
Oh, I seeooooh. I meant 1 shot in they can only check two players over one night once, but 2 makes sense XD
Sorry went to see over two nights each (aka part 1 of their 1 shot is selecting target 1 on one night and part 2 of their 1 shot is selecting target 2 on the next night.Oh, I see
This is an interesting idea. Kind of like: she has to make an extra copy quickly since it's been noticeably tampered with and so she just scans it, except the scanner is in a foreign language that translates the scanned letter from the scanner language to english. What if the switcher switches messages like expected, but also corrupts them in some way? So basically we send the message into google translate into a random languageThis is an interesting idea. Framers are fine in a vacuum, but there are so many.Wouldn't this be fine in a bastard game? Or is the problem that two roles are overlapping?
Just add more languages, Chinese, Filipino, Italian, Arabic, Japanese got me:Instead of 2 languages maybe we should use two different language apps. Might have more mix up.
That sounds good. that first example would be perfect LOL. Sef a good idea to process it through a few languages.Just add more languages, Chinese, Filipino, Italian, Arabic, Japanese got me:
“Hello, If you receive this message, "Yes, I agree to" a discussion Please write with.”
When I took even more languages:
“If you see this message, please enter "Yes, I agree." “
I think it shouldn’t be too weird so people don’t quite realize it’s a translation, but maybe it’ll become obvious with longer messages regardless.
I have been playing with the idea of no godfather a bit >_<Framers are fine in a vacuum, but there are so many.
Switcher targeting two is a double framed, bastard miller is their own and godfather is godfather, and they’re all unlimited.
With mobile app at least it’s very quick to cycle through them. Press the button to switch order and it’ll put the translated text in the left box so all you need to do is replace the output language and repeat. That sounds good. that first example would be perfect LOL. Sef a good idea to process it through a few languages.
LOL I guess I see you point. The issue I have with that is that if Lisa gets removed from the game early on, then the scum team loses their own main counter as they won't be able to switch or garble up messages anymore. (Also most likely they won't have her long since she steals packages and may get a bomb).I have been playing with the idea of no godfather a bit >_<
Basically, miller has been upgraded to bastard miller which naturally is more powerful for mafia, switcher messes with messages for alignment and the recipient and the x shot cop is replaced with something else so the cop has a bit more counters. It also seems more fun if the cop has to work through inconclusive results with people not receiving the message and has to work out if something messed up the message while with godfather it’s just
“hey you got message?”
“yes i did”
“ok fine”
Yep that works quite nicely. It'll be fun messing up the messages if we get the chance (I learned from my first game run to expect any awesome role you plan for to get lunched day 1).With mobile app at least it’s very quick to cycle through them. Press the button to switch order and it’ll put the translated text in the left box so all you need to do is replace the output language and repeat.
Yea, some simple list that gives decent results.
Just don’t bus the switcher then XDLOL I guess I see you point. The issue I have with that is that if Lisa gets removed from the game early on, then the scum team loses their own main counter as they won't be able to switch or garble up messages anymore. (Also most likely they won't have her long since she steals packages and may get a bomb).
While Larry is accidentally an aid to their cause since he won't know he's a miller, the godfather is an extra assurance just in case they get fucked by town killing both Lisa and Larry early into the game (or Bob killing both, or they themselves killing Larry.) XD
Well I guess Scum would still have going for them Stanford since he's the role thief meaning he could block either cop for the night by preventing them from sending out messages (and in heathers case preventing her from checking one person). That and if his team can properly guess what power the item is referring to, they'll know what role he blocked.Just don’t bus the switcher then XD
Lettuce go thru some numbers, I’m curious how much the cop will realistically get done:
11-1-3
switcher dead, town nk
10-1-2 : 1 cop
8-1-2 : 2 cop
6-1-2 : 3 cop
4-1-2 : 4 cop possible bombing
Kinda decent. I guess for balancing debate there are two well used cop setups with a vanilla cop, an n0 town result and nothing else that are at least somewhat balanced, ofc open setup makes the cop stronger since they know 100% what their power is.
Cop Setups - Mafia Universe Wiki
www.mafiauniverse.com
With this game here the things going town over that setup are:
- 1 extra player
- tracker
- doctor
- commuter
- just in general lots of claims, makes them slightly more believable than a vanilla
going against town:
- bastard miller
- switcher
- neutral (debatable)
- roleblocker
- no n0 result
So they’re certainly not weak if we consider the cop as basically being full cop.
At least it’s screaming out “hey I’m a power role” lolWell I guess Scum would still have going for them Stanford since he's the role thief meaning he could block either cop for the night by preventing them from sending out messages (and in heathers case preventing her from checking one person). That and if his team can properly guess what power the item is referring to, they'll know what role he blocked.
Mind you we purposely made them a bit weird. XD Pretty sure Brandi's won't indicate at all that she's a cop since I think it's a "employee of the month plaque" or something like that. XD
Yep. The commuter might have some suspicion thrown onto them tho for the whole packages getting sent out the night they commute tho. XDI forgot, but commuter is kinda a miller since they won’t receive anything odd days and the cop won’t be given the message “your action failed” like a normal cop would. Obviously after a claim the commuter has a great excuse unlike the poor miller.
Additionally we need items to represent all the different roles for the role thief. XD
Also does Stanford prevent people from send messages or should those be allowed to go through? If RB'd the item should be envelopes or boxes. XD
Here are my possible suggestions for the roles that apply as being Roleblockable.
Heather the HR Head: Alignment cop - Employee records
Boris the Box Mender: Doctor - Duct tape
Patricia the Package Tracker: Tracker - tracking code
Orville the Office Gossip: Gossip - Water cooler XD
Bob the Mail Bomberer: Arsonist - Clock
Petrushka the Package Scannerer: Bomb Defuser - Package Scanner
The role thief is a RB meet Role Cop so we'd need items to rep the other non mail powers:
Larry the Lazy Employee: Miller - Bad employee records
Brandi the Brownnoser: Loyal - Employee of the month plaque?
Dan the Deliveryman: Even Odd Commuter - His Mail Truck
Medina the Manager: Medium - Phone
For fun:
Barry the Box Breaker: His fists???
Stanford the Stamp Thief: You stole your own pants \o/ !!!
Lisa the Label Maker: White Out.

Stanford just gets envelopes because technically the ordinaries are messengers. XD The game is technically rolemadness, they just won't know that ;)At least it’s screaming out “hey I’m a power role” lol
I guess ordinaries get nothing?
Ah, makes sense.Stanford just gets envelopes because technically the ordinaries are messengers. XD The game is technically rolemadness, they just won't know that ;)
TrueeeeAh, makes sense.
The way town reacts to the messages will probably determine how well they figure stuff out. If they openly talk about what they received they’ll probably realize there’s a switcher quite quickly, but thinking about it I think the site meta about hiding stuff from mafia is going to make it quite likely that town doesn’t really discuss them much at all.
Whoops. For Dan, maybe a truck is too on the nose? How about a carrier bag?LOL please look at my edits and corrections about the role thief items. >> I want to make sure everything makes sense.
Very true, town will likely keep things to themselves.Ah, makes sense.

Ahhh but I love the idea that he steals an entire mail truck and apparently Dan never notices. XD Besides they can only steal his item when he's not commuting meaning they'd get nothing from him.Whoops. For Dan, maybe a truck is too on the nose? How about a carrier bag?
Then we can sell it, haha.Ahhh but I love the idea that he steals an entire mail truck and apparently Dan never notices. XD Besides they can only steal his item when he's not commuting meaning they'd get nothing from him.
Okay guys... we need to figure out what we are doing about the cop situations. I'd like to get more work on this game done so. For everyone involved please answer these questions.
1. Is Brandi the only cop or are we letting Heather have her 1 Parity cop shot she has to do over two night phases to get a result?
2. How do the two sides balance out? Is one side looking to OP than the other? Does Bob stand a chance? XD
That's true. I just want to make sure everything is fair for every party and to see if Vere agrees with them as well. XDI think the real question is what would you like the game to be.
This isn't shirking responsibility but what I feel like review should do. This is your game and your design. Always take note of what reviewers are saying but don't be afraid to tell us no and back your own judgment
Yeah I like having two cops especially if we go with your suggestions down below. Personally I want to keep both especially since the miller doesn't even know they are one and all that the other stuff. If this was my game. I would have the Loyal Messenger and the limited Parity Cop.
Parity cop submits 1 name per night so it takes 2 nights for results.
The only issue with making Dan a 1 shot is his assistant is supposed to send out a package when he commutes which gives Bob more cover, if the Spec chat package is only going to happen for like 3 nights does that mean Bob will only have a small window to get his win con done?I think town are looking pretty strong imo. I might reduce the Commuter to a low shot amount. Maybe even 1-shot. And it has to be in the first 3 nights. Make the doctor 3 shot. Just to temper any potential late game where scum are cornered by PRs.
Sounds good for fake claims.I think I would give scum a couple of fake claims.
Restless Spirit (Postal Voter) - can vote for a day after they die
Bulletproof
The package stealer role could be town so no need for a fake claim.
Hmmm interesting idea. Does that mean he can't receive messages at all? That'd actually cause a bit of chaos as well. You could also make one of the mafia, probably the role theif, Ascetic. That would give slightly more cop protection*, and protection against the arsonist.
*this does not necessarily benefit town since it makes a same check more likely which can have greater value than a difference check.
Nice then. c:I feel like the arsonist is fine. Probably 50/50 to win.
Yeah I agree C: I'll start writing them in a Google doc then. I'll share it with the thread here.I think you should start writing role pms. If things need tweaking afterwards it is easier to help.
And it is a big move forward to getting the game approved.
I'd be winning to change the tracker to a different type of one. just to obscure the results further. But part of why I wanted to do that "Everyone is a messenger gimmick" isI kept thinking about the tracker and got deep into the rabbit hole...
Usually an unlimited tracker is kinda strong, they can get a red on scum doing the killing and if all but one scum are dead they can also clear townies. In this game tho the messenger aspect changes it like “oh I just sent a message to the person that was killed, don’t mind me hehe”.
One issue tho is the number of tracks, like if I’m scum and I target Verelios with the kill and send a message to Faddy a tracker will typically see both. Then you can’t just claim messenger as scum because you did two things. That feels a bit too powerful here, but I’m not quite sure what the best option is. I still think the tracker should see a double move from the switcher as that’s the expected outcome when you track a switcher.
A motion detector is just super boring, there’s motion everywhere lol
I’m not quite sure how to go about it. One thing I’ve thought about is to make every ability linked to the Messenger role kinda like Brandi’s, but that’s maybe a bit too much.
Hmmm, what do you mean by who is the real messenger? I’ve been thinking about the messenger aspect and building the game around that.I'd be winning to change the tracker to a different type of one. just to obscure the results further. But part of why I wanted to do that "Everyone is a messenger gimmick" is
1. so we can ask "who is the real messenger?" after Vere and I have to deliver all the messages.
2. to have a tracker of some kind get annoyed because of all the results. XD
So please unlimited type of tracker, but we can change what kind.
It's a joke LOLHmmm, what do you mean by who is the real messenger? I’ve been thinking about the messenger aspect and building the game around that.
Oh, I’m just slow ._.It's a joke LOL
Step 1. Make a game where everyone is a messenger.
Step 2. Everyone sends out messages at night.
Step 3. Mods now have to deliver all messages the entire game.
Step 4. Mods began to question why they did this to themselves.
Step 5. Everyone asks "Who is messages the Messengers?" and the real twist was the the Mods were the real mailmen the entire game.
Yeah, I was mainly worried if they’d be too strong.Personally I'm fine with keeping the tracker as is, because it gives town some power if they check scum. Scum also can cover their tracks a bit if they message the person they kill.
Plus we will give scum fake power claims, so they can always claim those.
Watcher doesn't work flavor wise and is actually worse for scum. LOLOh, I’m just slow ._.
Yeah, I was mainly worried if they’d be too strong.
I think tracker is still fine, motion detector is boring because they have only one result.Watcher doesn't work flavor wise and is actually worse for scum. LOL
Watcher watches Vere. You kill Faddy and I message him. Watcher accuses both of us. I say I message him. Faddy claims same.
A thunderdome between the two of us and Faddy gets killed sooner than later.
I don't want to limit the trackers shots.
Sooooo motion detector?
Also want to here what Faddy and Vere thing.
ooooh so instead of actually being items. they are just more messages to fill the void.Speaking of messages, what if those packages from spec are messages (that have been vetted by the moderators)![]()
LOL we had MD in our first game and I'm still not sure I did it right. The MD actually watched scum that got vig shot (they had a BP) but didn't realize they had proof he was vig shot and lived despite me saying an action happened to him.I think tracker is still fine, motion detector is boring because they have only one result.
Yeah, I figured a message nobody in game sent is more fun. Make it have to go to a different person every time so they don’t send everything to the spec chat darling.ooooh so instead of actually being items. they are just more messages to fill the void.
Alternative suggestions. We tell Spec chat that they get to send a package to a player and everyone gets to vote.
THE PACKAGES DO NOTHING. They are just as empty as Dan's packages. \o/
Yeah, with a low PR setup the uncertainty is fun, but here like everybody does something every night lolLOL we had MD in our first game and I'm still not sure I did it right. The MD actually watched scum that got vig shot (they had a BP) but didn't realize they had proof he was vig shot and lived despite me saying an action happened to him.
If the packages do nothing we could honestly have it happen all game even when spoilers are allowed LOL.Yeah, I figured a message nobody in game sent is more fun. Make it have to go to a different person every time so they don’t send everything to the spec chat darling.
It was a role madness game. LOLYeah, with a low PR setup the uncertainty is fun, but here like everybody does something every night lol
And they put a MD there? It was a role madness game. LOL

We wanted the power to be weak LOL. Also it was my game I ran not my first game. And they put a MD there?![]()
But you gave that poor player a useless role :(We wanted the power to be weak LOL. Also it was my game I ran not my first game.
In retrospect with how scum was (they deserved it tho) we probably could have let the MD be a tracker lol. We even filled the game with a lot of useless night actions to mess with results.
I just wish the MD had realized he had proof the scummie wasn't commuting. It would have helped.
He had what he needed! But you gave that poor player a useless role :(
Something like a “commuter detector” would’ve been more useful XD
Oh I know that, but it was an unclear part of his role. In a role madness game *the only thing* his role could do was detect if somebody was home so a “commuter detector” would’ve been more useful since the result is at least clear :PHe had what he needed!
He checked a player who was shot by a vig and lived. He got a result saying "One action happened with this player" which was the vig shot.
The player claimed commuter to hide the fact he had a BP. If he was commuting MD would have gotten "No result!"
haha true I guessOh I know that, but it was an unclear part of his role. In a role madness game *the only thing* his role could do was detect if somebody was home so a “commuter detector” would’ve been more useful since the result is at least clear :P
Indeed.Just to confirm...
-Lisa messes with the mail of her targets right? She steals the packages outright, but any messages being sent to either of her targets will be sent through multiple translators?
Indubitably...not. She can likely say anything she wants since it's not supported.-Do we restrict what Brandi can say in her message?
Yes, absolutely. That works out well if we make them an x shot commuter. I saw the conversation above and I think an X shot commuter within the first three days is fair, but I'd want to make it 2 shot instead of 1, so there's still a layer of uncertainty behind the usefulness.-Should the fish vender send out packages on nights besides the ones he commutes on.
Ty made a good suggestion that they could be messages. But, that does seem a bit vanilla. I guess we can also do daily awards and commendations, voted on spec for best X-X-X.-What gifts does General management (Spec chat give out).
Why not? The in-universe logic tells me that Lisa wouldn't be as trusting towards her co-conspirators and wouldn't mind seeing what mail they're getting.-I assume Lisa doesn't mess up the mail of any mail being sent to mafia members (if she targets Barry? Since Stanford can't receive mail at all?)
That's definitely something to keep in consideration. It opens up the question of how strictly we'll be monitoring messages. For example, can people send over their names, or not. Conversely, can they mention X and X and then bring it up the next day so that the reciever knows it's from them.I think with messages it’ll be smart to limit the length just so you don’t get a fucking book that you have to copy paste. Something like max 1000 characters or whatever you think is fitting.
Codes are usually not allowed so I think you could also just warn people that they can’t do fancy encryption and cyphers. Weirdly it’s not in the rules, but I remember way back someone literally posted encrypted messages which obviously went against the spirit of the game. With all of these messengers it’s more likely someone will just send a private key and create their own gossip in thread.
D: What a mean thread D: < (Also for taking so long to respond >> I forgot to check OM today). This thread never pings me.
Trueeeee then we good then.Indubitably...not. She can likely say anything she wants since it's not supported.
LOL I agree with you actually. I made Dan a 2 shot commuter in his Role PM.Yes, absolutely. That works out well if we make them an x shot commuter. I saw the conversation above and I think an X shot commuter within the first three days is fair, but I'd want to make it 2 shot instead of 1, so there's still a layer of uncertainty behind the usefulness.
hmmm that's an option but i kind of like the idea of making spec chat think we are letting them give something players something important when it's just 1. a random message. 2. an empty box. 3, They can do two messages that night. or something like that. If we make this power useless then we can keep the package sending going all game. xDTy made a good suggestion that they could be messages. But, that does seem a bit vanilla. I guess we can also do daily awards and commendations, voted on spec for best X-X-X.
Trueeee then scum messages will also be garbled. Why not? The in-universe logic tells me that Lisa wouldn't be as trusting towards her co-conspirators and wouldn't mind seeing what mail they're getting.
Niceeeeee.I like the parity cop and think we can make it work.
LOL I was totally wanting to let the players go nuts with what they write since that's the fun aspect of being a messenger. I guess it'd make some sense lore wise to have some restrictions.I think with messages it’ll be smart to limit the length just so you don’t get a fucking book that you have to copy paste. Something like max 1000 characters or whatever you think is fitting.

Also what does everything of this post where I suggest that Bob doesn't actually kill anyone but just sends them glitter bombs?Proposal: The bombs Bob uses aren't actual bombs but glitter bombs (He is in fact just glitter bombing his coworkers before he quits.) The employees that get bombed still leave the game, but mostly to focus on getting all the glitter out of their houses LOL.
Alternative is they don't leave the game but something else happens. :D Like they lose their vote for the day or are RB'd.
I like the idea of it being a glitter bomb because flavor wise no one actually dies and just gets fired. XD
I like it, and it makes more sense than actual bombs being made to kill people who they dislike. Also what does everything of this post where I suggest that Bob doesn't actually kill anyone but just sends them glitter bombs?
I like the idea of having a game like Reki's where no one actually dies LOL just lore wise they get fired or transferred to a different post office.
Those that get glitter bombed will be stuck at home having to clean their houses out of all the glitter and can't come to work for the rest of the game.
Yay :DI like it, and it makes more sense than actual bombs being made to kill people who they dislike.

Well in their case they aren't actually fired... they just have to use their vacation pay to clean up their houses.Instead of died, shouldn't it be fired?
That's good to know, let's go with that then.Well in their case they aren't actually fired... they just have to use their vacation pay to clean up their houses.
I used the term died because that's what you use with the vote tool. LOL I'll have to check with fireblend to see if we can change it, but since I doubt it, I'm assuming we'll have to do Player has died but say flavor wise they were fired/transferred.
My thought is to give them a list of names that follow the convention but not assign them to any individual person. We're already giving them a leg up so they can take that final leap if they're not hasty. So now that that's settled. What else do we need to do? I guess the main thing would be to have everyone look over the role PMs and finalize our fake power claims.
I'm thinking for fake powers, we'll go with some of the suggestions Faddy made... but question is... do we need to give them fake claims that fit their first name orrrr should we let them figure that out themselves.
Everyone in the game except for the the Vanilla's has a first name that fits with the flavor version of their role so surely that'll realize that right? XD
If Barry claims to be Barry the Veteran Employee (he's been working there the longest so he's bullet proof because he can't be easily fired/framed) XD surely people will notice it doesn't fit the naming convention as the other rolls if several roles have flipped by then?
Well what I was thinking is that technically their names serve as a cover as it is as they don't need to fake flavor claim the name.My thought is to give them a list of names that follow the convention but not assign them to any individual person. We're already giving them a leg up so they can take that final leap if they're not hasty.
Might as well. We can give them the role names and let them come up with the details.Well what I was thinking is that technically their names serve as a cover as it is as they don't need to fake flavor claim the name.
Boris mentions being drinking buddies with Barry and Brandi has lunch with Lisa, so it seems silly to not use their flavor name.
What they need is fake role claims if they need to claim more than just messenger because Patricia saw them visiting two people that night. Or just in general XD
The question is do we want to go that extra step to have the fake roles match their name flavor wise... or give them possible fake names to go with the roles and not give them the cover they give from the flavor.
Examples of the former
Power : Barry flavor role / Stan flavor role / Lisa Flavor Role
Bulletproof : Best Employee/ Satisfactory worker / Long time Employee
Restless Spirit: Ballot Box Manager / Sick Employee (Works from home) / Law student (when she leaves the game she is leaving to focus on her studies, but her vote is some dirt she wanted to tell management about)
Shit like that.
What I'm thinking is whatever fake roles we come up with should have a fake flavor role that can work each any of the scum team :D
Yep XDMight as well. We can give them the role names and let them come up with the details.
Where can I see the Role PMs? I can’t find anything in the sheetSoooo how do the role PMs look? Any issues you see with the balacing? Anything needing to be fixed?
And what do you guys suggest for fake power claims?
Where can I see the Role PMs? I can’t find anything in the sheet
Yeah I agree C: I'll start writing them in a Google doc then. I'll share it with the thread here.
The ROLE PM DOC :D IT'S THIS lol
I'm going to make the fully Revealed PMs first since that'll help us finalize the roster. When we have finialized I'll edit these ones to incorporate the highlight tags and make the pre-reveal ones.
---
Please let me know who Larry's Role PM flavor is. c: I don't want it being too obvious he's the miller but we can hint to it.
Got I will definitely add it, however won't it make it too obvious he's the miller when we announce it to town? because his role is basically what counts for a vanilla in the game from the PM? Mind you he may realize something is up when his message doesn't go to it's intended target if he finds that out.I think Larry's role pm should call him incompetent since that would in flavour give a hint his messages going wrong and being a miller are his own fault.
I believe not revealing at start of game that everyone is a messenger/messenger specific rolls and the flavor in general being a secret is also a bastard thing. All the game stuff looks fine to me.
The run down of bastard elements.
1. Miller that doesn't know they are a miller (revealed on death?)
2. Commuter that is also Fish vendor (revealed on death?)
3. Spec chat is going to also send random useless items
4. If the Arsonist succeeds all the role reveals will not be linked to players
Well what I was thinking is that technically their names serve as a cover as it is as they don't need to fake flavor claim the name.
Boris mentions being drinking buddies with Barry and Brandi has lunch with Lisa, so it seems silly to not use their flavor name.

I believe not revealing at start of game that everyone is a messenger/messenger specific rolls and the flavor in general being a secret is also a bastard thing.
As for the first two revealing on death (unless they are stuck at hom cleaning glitter by bob lol) makes perfect sense.
the main keep was to have the flavor match their flavor names LOL since everyone except for the the ordinary employees does... speaking of incompetent doesn't work for Larry.Other potential names - Bulletproof -Employee of the Month, Tenured ; Restles Spirit -Remote Worker
oooh right. Okay then.Ok so all the messenger stuff will be removed from the role PMs and a whole new PM sent out on Night 1.
I think you still reveal the Miller and Fish Vendor even if they are taken out by the arsonist. The arsonist is still going to reveal the role PMs it just won't say who had each role.
Should I write up the post reveal PMS? LOL
Heather the head of HR
You hate having to fire employees, but sadly it comes with the job and in general you are very good at it. It doesn’t help that you are fairly new at this branch, so not many people know you, so you are a bit worried about being considered the bad guy.
You are Heather the Head of HR and you are a 1 shot Parity Copand Messenger!
You are aligned with the U.S. Post Office in some boring little town (That is Town).
During the night you can target one player with the command, Work Assessment: Player. On a different night you can target a second player with the same command. After two players have been selected, you will receive a result of “Both are the same alignment” “Both are not the same Alignment” or “No result.”
Also during the night, you can send a message by sending the command, Mail: Player with the message after it.
You also have the power to vote!
You win when all threats to town are eliminated.

If we are going for something other than Ordinary it needs to be Lazy like I had it originally, tho I'm still concerned it'll become obvious that he's the miller. Part of what I was doing with the flavor lol was trying to not make it as obvious.
Sorry i mean Pre-Reveal. I'm currently working on them. The Role PMs right now include the messenger stuff.
So all that isn't going to be in the sent PMs?
Welcome!

Have fun!
Let me explain again LOL.So you send a message to everyone on Night 1 that they have unlocked a Messenger Ability? I think you should write that out.
If you are going to do a big in game reveal I don't know if you need to send a 3rd PM with the messenger details. The N1 PM and the announcement should be enough.
Okay then will keep larry as an ordinary employee c:Sorry! I forgot there was going to be a miller reveal at the start of the game.
I think Larry's role PM is fine in that case. And all your flavor makes sense. You can make changes but it is fine as it is if you are happy with it.
