I see Vere's frustration, but that train against TP came out of nowhere, with no reasons and no one but Kyan was bothered to point it out. Also all of TPs actions align perfectly with this claim. And Natiko is in ultra scummy mode aka avoiding to do anything townie

I’m assuming there’s a bunch more neutrals and the claims as revealed are not all true or scum is beyond fucked regardless because we do not have strong roles lol

Counter: Is it more balanced against town steamrolling to a win, or is it balanced in a manner that actually helps mafia? Because as it stands we are fucked on NK options with a doctor that can protect multiple players, a cop, and a switcher misdirecting everything in the meantime.

The NK portion is probably something that needed tweaking, should've made it so the general doesn't have to be there to kill. With these kinds of games I really didn't know what would go down before the game started. Unfortunately I overestimated some stuff and underestimated others, sorry about that.

It’s no biggie, I’m not mad about it. I don’t expect your games to be perfectly balanced. With that many moving parts it’s basically impossible. I’ve missed the mark on balance (as a runner and reviewer) in far more standard games lol

It’s just getting overloaded, it’s worse in larger games (RIP). There’s a few options to help, just a matter of letting Febe think on the best approach.

What if, say, you made a completely duff accusation, shot your credibility to pieces and wound up with your neck well and truly on the block, only for a suspicious train to start on someone who'd just claimed town armourer. Would it be OK to self-vote to make scum work harder to get their dodgy train to work with the intent of making a sacrifice move to keep the PR in play?

I might have done that once.

I would only do this if you're VERY VERY sure they're town. Town might just go back to that tomorrow and the only person you can be sure about is yourself. Helping kill yourself to save an unknown could backfire hard

If you’re referring to what I think that will definitely be a boon if it happens. Navigating the NKs is just going to be a real shit show I suspect lol Even with information withheld - the precedent is there from Fanto, so you just never know.

Unfortunately I will rarely be around at the end of the day, that's usually when I get home and then I have dad and house stuff to take care of before I can check the game. I likely would have hit Kalor though if I had been around.

I was disappointed but wasn't too bothered. I was thinking to myself yesterday that I just wasn't playing very well which became even more obvious when most of the chat here thought I was scum. I thought I might have had a small sliver of something in the lead up to malus getting lunched (sorry malus!) and then when that didn't pan out I had trouble latching on to anything else. I iso'd TP before I voted for him and didn't pick up on his Nat crumb at all but seems like most didn't either. Oh well, just try to do better next time.

I still think eschewing the Risk mechanics might have been the better town play but we all just wanted to have fun in the cool sandbox Geno made. Of course if I hadn't been locked in on an island I might have felt differently on that front.

Remaining scum team: wee, Reki, Kalor, and Uzzy?

Edit because I can here, not wee because Nat didn't know, so replace with Kawl.

@Geno yeah, you hand out these extensions pretty nonchalantly - i.e. I don't think there was a need for it yesterday.

My biggest leads would be Stan and Kawl. Between Kawl and LP must also be scum.

Town:
Tearable, Kalor, Zipped, Kopite, Jman (last one is still under scrutiny)
Uzzy (has me fooled if that self-defeatist attitude is faked)
Kyan (did he call out the wagon for town cred? dunno, but he seemed townie at the end)

Ok I'm back on the lunch Launch train. That swerve at EoD didn't feel genuine. I feel there was panic among Scum that there would be another Scum lunch right away in Vere so he latched onto any train that came along.

Well, you'd definitely have to discuss wether a neutral would be in an all vanilla game beforehand. Not that we ever had a controversial game that tried just that, no no. *cough* heist mafia *cough* see here at the old place. Holy shit, 2015, wow.

Thanks for the hint! I just had a look at it. I was actually thinking a survivor would be the only possible neutral in such a game, so it's funny that was a point of contention in that game.

Strong kills are given for a reason. You got a Doctor claim. why isn't the Doctor dead???

Scum can also co-ordinate attacks in the day for extra kills. It felt balanced to me.

I liked the mechanics of the game and the mystery around them. The complexity introduced many possible alternative theories about how things worked. The game was fun to think and theorize about. I quite liked how much of the complexity was in the end just veiled - there is a plenty of normal roles and ok-ish territory bonuses out there. I expected there to be a bigger mess eventually with all the rules that had to be explained, but everything went surprisingly well in the end. Must've been a lot of work to answer all those questions though. The game was rather enjoyable, while the plays in it were sometimes the opposite.
