Sorry for the wait, wee. And for the long post.
Hi reki.
I do indeed not trust you, but i’m willing to be horribly misled if you can manage it.
Worry not, don't think I could get you even more horribly misled if I actively tried to.
It didn’t make a lot of sense to me but I’d like to understand your goal on it.
First, would like to clarify something. When Monkey commented on the weakness of my question to turms, she talked about it being a "trap card". And that wasn't its intention; I'm not shooting for a
Gotcha!, but trying to understand the thought process behind certain posts. Same with Mao.
While I was doing my LP re-read, this post caught my attention;
Maolfunction said:
I'm still fine with killing them.
LP would be my back up last minute switch if everything collapses.
This was after the Lovers' claim, around an hour before EoD and three minutes after Monkey placed her vote on LP.
A few hours later, during the N64 party, Maol is asked who would he want dead if he could pick three players;

Putting me on the spot a bit since I haven't been able to develop my reads quite yet, but Zipped, Reki and Blarg.
Zipped because of the aforementioned jump from Hawthorn to turm after spending all day shading Hawthorn and Launch. Faddy's light shade at him also makes me think there might be an attempt as bussing. There's also a lot of people throwing suspicion at Zipped now, so a flip would clarify reads on them for me.
Reki, I like wee's argument against them. That's about it.
And Blarg because he's a huge wildcard for town and I don't really want him to gambit his way into a loss for town.
This is weird progression. His second pick is nowhere to be found on a "Who would you kill?" list? For real?
I believe there could be TMI here. Admittedly, that works only if you assume that the NK was picked early in the night - or they decided to use the Thunderdome, if the relation to the lower poster Launch theorized about is correct -.
---------
That's it for the question, but there's other stuff from him that looks sus. He has, as far as I recall, made pools of people that are null or would be fine to get rid of from his pov. Like this;

I wanted to move the game forward, and get a decent chunk of town reads out of it. You can berate me for that decision after the game if it winds up costing town the win.
The players who are currently big question marks and possible scum to me are:
Blarg
Sparks
Aeleus
VA
Zipped
MrHedin
(He adds me to this list in a later post.)
There's also the
weird speculation about the NK. How does it make any sense to think LP was the vig considering the timing of Faddy's death - 2 hours before EoD - and his entrance in the thread - 20 minutes before -.
And now that D2 ended; Maol pushed hard for the Lovers to go. He argued that we'd be stuck talking about them until they were out.
Then, D2, with multiple folks in Chambers who basically checked out/weren't able to solve, a stalemate on the lunch discussion and some harsh exchanges here and there, he says stuff like this;

If you have the town's best interests in mind, why do you want to extend that phase and risk more people shouting at each other? Or that stupid monster appearing or whatever? Why do you go "Yeah these folks are null, let's kill them" like making a laundry list of lunches?
I've been a meanie with Maol. He's aware that bold, suspicious play can get a free pass when town goes "Yeah but they wouldn't be that obviously sus, right?". He likes to play the power wolf, and I think he may be doing that - which is funny because he criticized Geno last game for doing something similar -. He even admited to try and control discussion in this very game.

I don’t know the razmos reference but i don’t expect to go back and read more games during this one, which is exhAUSting.
Razmos is the only other Gossip that has ever invited me to a chat, in Nier. Mentioned it because, he had the opposite reason; he town-read me. And I started to do the same after our short talk. We even made a plan for the Hider part of his role and everything - that didn't work out but, whatever -.
So, first question. Did you ever think of inviting someone you heavily town-read to more easily solve and share notes?
Also saw your readlist yesterday, could you expand on these;

I believe the claim, seems town
Let's get the claim out of the equation, tell me about that town read.

I am mystified. Very little scum hunting. I’d still flip him if i could but wouldn’t be shocked if he WAS town, just lost. but by not doing much at all, he can be scum not committing to any statement they’d have to back up later.
You've played with Zipped for years, isn't he always like this?

Has +2 townie points for post content then got cursed.
Which content in particular?

Post content seems? Townish? He did the vote-pushing on day one, that can be done by scum, too, i’ve seen it, but more often by town. I never try because i can’t babysit a thread that way but i appreciate the work that goes into it. He’s out there trying to get people to sheep him and giving variously silly thoughts to follow, and analyzing them based off of it.
Kinda agree but, now that we're playing with a bit of a similar poster in Fat4all, I don't see how he was nullish and Blarg townish; I've seen the doggo putting in more work. So, would you mind elaborating?

Funky Dude Sparks
i have nothing. I’ve tried all kinds of ways to get consistent reads on sparks in various games and I too often guess wrong to even comment.
I can see this, but. Do you feel like Sparks has been holding back, even a bit?
Finally. Are you the Arsonist?
Thank you!
