I can already see ppl saying. No way mafia does this so blatantly on day 1, so this gotta be town. Such an annoying argument.

While I want it to be bowser castle as much as anyone else here, I’m thinking we need town to agree to that one “take it out early so it can’t help scum late game”

we should game for something like rainbow road (my guess is something related to day length (long ass track) or vote swapping (because no edges))

or something like baby park. It’s got a billion laps, that’s got to mean something

Alright, finally have time to properly check in.

The good news is we flipped the Tracker and that makes me feel pretty good for a few reasons. One, since we don't have a proper counter for movement (i.e. ninja), it's unlikely there's also a watcher in the game. Two, only tangentially-related, but I remember both from Costume Party and from Monkey (I think) that Nat loves weak cops; this is further evidenced by us not having a godfather. If there is an alignment cop, it's probably a lower threat than the tracker role would have been.

ATP and I are in a good spot to perform the night kill, not just because we're only BP but also now because we can't be tracked so it doesn't really matter what we do. We have reasonable assurance that we won't need to sit a night out without taking an action.

I am good with blocking MrChuggs, that's a good plan to stop them from proving their role.

I think these are good choices. Sawneeks can be a threat given enough time; it's been awhile, but Bear has been around the block, too. Bearneeks is also less likely to be protected than some other players. I don't know how likely it is we can push Muffian or Dr. A to the edge, but they seemed to get some heat today so I'm maybe less partial to killing them; I don't care much for Sorian's boasting, and I think he is at least partially bluffing. That "even night commuters" with a partial highlight tag could have been an actual slip. The other pair worth entertaining is weeblend. My ranked choices are Bearneeks > weeblend > Muffian > Dr. A.

My plan is to continue rereading in the morning to catch up, try to pick up on any breadcrumbs anyone may have dropped, but otherwise I'm good with any of these choices.

As for what track we choose, I don't care. I think there's merit to putting the more seemingly dangerous ones later on in the game, but we're only taking a guess, really. If anything, I think Rainbow Road would be the biggest pain lol

Lux and terra will probably catch some more heat for their votes coming so close together, but Hawthorn and jman should also get some heat, Hawthorn also came in with a late vote and jman was flipping his vote all over the place.

Although VA effectively was the killing blow to faddy im not sure I see town turning on monkey, faddy was the only really pushing her as town.

It might be worth killing her and VA tonight..

Yeah, I can see Dr. Alexander certainly being more townread as the game progresses, too. On the flip side, you and I are probably going to fly under Monkey's radar since we know what she looks for. I didn't catch the shift towards everyone townreading Monkey, but do you think it's enough town cred that the doctor will try to protect them? With the last second VA switch to a mislunch, I think not, but I ask in case I'm missing context.

My personal catch-up notes for ATP, starting from page 28 (50ppp):
  • I think Geno has issues making legitimate reads based on reactions. He tried to gambit, but anything that's come out of it has been based on single post reactions (i.e. Chuggs). That's something we can pick at as we go. Terra isn't helping, since it's been mostly OMGUS or defending Geno's play.
  • Fanto is a fantastic solver, but getting set up with Uzzy is less than ideal for her. Uzzy gets scum read pretty quickly in my experience just for acting the way she does. Fanto also has a small issue where she weathervanes with very little provocation (i.e. switching over to voting us in the last hour). That's totally just her, but it's something we can point out since it's usually behavior associated with scum and goes against an earlier town read on ATP.
  • Sorian is formidable, but Muffin doesn't have much solve to him. A potential angle there is how Sorian is difficult to read and can certainly act townie enough, but Muffin does not contribute enough and gives away that they're scum. Muffin's posts have mostly been about the batcomputer, shit-posting, or just not much in the way of reads.
  • Bearneeks and weeblend are too townie to touch right now.
  • goatthorne is too much of a wild card. They read town now, but given enough time and people drawing on history with Hawthorn, town might turn on them.
  • Blarg/LP, Sparkgust, and Sin will solve themselves. If I was town, I wouldn't try at this juncture.
  • MrChuggs is reading super townie to me, but I think that's going to go down like a lead balloon when they're not able to prove their power tonight. I'll probably still town read them after that.
  • Assuming Dr. Alexander doesn't die, I still have a scum lean there tbh. Monkey isn't acting like she normally does, in many cases just outright contradicting herself in her approach (i.e. saying we had a good thing going in EZA but also having done that gambit), and that last minute flip from VA looked like a bus to panic at looking bad after the flip. I think that's worth looking at closer.
  • zippedRAGE - after seeing what Jman caught onto, hot damn, I'm proud of Jman lmao that was a good catch on his part and obviously he's totally right. We can play that off, though. I'm hoping that MrChuggs takes attention away from this with the doc claim out there, but I will point out the differences between Zipped's and my situation in One Piece. I'm not going to push the doc claim, that's not usually in my wheelhouse anyway, and like I said, I was town reading Sophia/Zeke before; that has not changed.
  • Would like to see more from TerraCommander D2. I don't feel like they've contributed much, but it's hard to get a read there. I saw Lux as pretty sus last game for focusing on mechanics and not contributing actual reads; if it goes that way again, I might rely on just reading Terra. Saw they posted some substance towards day end, but not enough for me to make a judgement.

I've been thinking about this vote silencing thing, and that's a trickier power to use than I'd expect at first glance. I would suggest using that on someone TerraCommander was scum reading to actually build a case for it being a town power; if we use it on a widely town read player, it'll tip your hand that it's a scum-aligned power and screw up a fake claim down the road.

We should probably decide on a direction for you so you’re not called out for not contributing again. It’s definitely not too late to right that ship. I doubt we’re totally aligned in our “reads”, but who do you think should be on your town reads and who do you want to push after the day end cluster?

My town reads were monkey/va, sawneeks and bear and Sparks and poltergust, I don't think any of those will change going into d2.

I think while scum is still intact we have more chance of getting the the tough tracks voted through, especially with people like blarg and sorian still in the game, im not sure how many tracks there were, and if the game is likely to last long enough that they will all be used eventually

I have no idea what it could be other than maybe not being as mean as Bowser’s Castle and Rainbow Road. Might as well pull a name out of a hat lol

Having said that, maybe we just wait to see what wins. I’m not sure it’ll really matter, but in case it comes up. Just saying one thing where we don’t match up is going to make us look bad.
