This section of Outer Mafia is for people who are in the process of designing their own games to be able to workshop them.
If you’re interested in running a game with us, there are 3 ways of doing so: you can create a custom game from scratch, choose one of the certified Mini games available, or adopt a design created by another community member! We will explain below each of these methods one by one.
(Obs.: to run a game, you need to have played in at least one Mafia game in our community.)
Creating your own game
If all you have at the moment is an idea for an unique game, you can ask any member of the Outer Mafia team to create a private board on our forum for you, where you can organize your thoughts and create a prototype for your game. When asking them, please let them know what will be the title of your game, and if you want any other person to have access to the board so you all can work together.
Once you have your initial design, send a message to a member of the Review team, including all information about your design in a concise form (we recommend using a spreadsheet, here is a good example of a blank one). At this point, they will assign two reviewers to look over your design and discuss with you what may need to be adjusted it if needed to make it a fairer and better game. Here is a list of things your reviewers will look for in your design.
When the two reviewers approve your design, it will be put on our game schedule, to be run in the future!
Running a Mini Mafia
If you are interested in running a smaller game or want to get your feet wet when it comes to gamerunning then a Mini Mafia might be for you! These are completed and ready-to-run games from pre-approved sources that are 13 players or less in size, all you need is a theme! These games can be run at any time due to their size and do not need to be reviewed, simply pick a set-up and then contact the Scheduling team about getting the game set to run! It’s that simple!

Do note that these designs can not be changed. If you wish to create your own custom game you will have to go through the process for creating your own game which includes a review process.
Adopting a design
Like the alternative above, if you’re interested in running a game but don’t want to design one, you can adopt custom games that were created and reviewed by community members in the past, but don’t currently have an owner.
The difference between adopted games and Minis is that the adopted ones, due to usually being large and complex games, and having a broader appeal thanks to their themes, will enter our game schedule and be featured in a future season, while Minis can be run at any moment.

- Pre-approved Micro/Mini Set-ups from MafiaScum Wiki
