Howdy partner. I don't have any abilities in this game so nothing crazy from on that side, I will just do my best to make sure I don't get us both killed. Since we haven't played together before to give you a rough sense of my style I'm an early poker, I just poke around until I find something to really latch on to which can sometimes be to my detriment. It would greatly help me if you think that I'm going too hard on someone, especially early, to let me know so I can back it off the following day.
Just so you know the last time this game ran there were 4 scum, a master and servant pair and then two others who were masters who had town servants. I expect things to be switched up a bit this time around but there are likely going to be town/scum lover pairs. I'm going into this with the idea that you're town as well unless you prove it otherwise, statistically you are also going to be town and it's just not going to be fun for either of us if we get a little confrontational in this chat. Also since I can't do anything about your power it doesn't matter to me if you want to keep it to yourself. If later on you trust me and want to bounce some ideas off with what to do I will be more than happy to help but if you don't get to that point I understand as well.

Thanks for the insight into the previous Fate game. So there were discrepancy between master and servant alignments, huh... Well, I just know that I'm part of The Mages' Association (what seems to be Town), but all I care about is you winning, 'cause that's what means I win. So even if that means betraying Town or whatevs, I'll support you in whatever endeavor you need to get your victory, haha.
My power is a one-shot Double vote. Really no reason to keep it from you. It might come in handy at one point.

I'd also appreciate it if I veer into weird territory or elaborations/discussion that seems fluffy and can get me the side eye from some players.

The association is just a secondary wincon for the town and it's not one I'm particularly worried about. It'll be cool if town wins and Mages has the most remaining player but I just really care about the first part, I'm not going to do anything funny to try to game Mages coming out on top.

My last game was Love Boat 3 in May 2019. Before then, I'd been pretty active, playing in most seasons since the Gafia days.
And help me understand something: so Mages is not inherently Town, and Einzbern is not inherently scum? Is that it? 'Cause I'm apparently neutral, and really just linked with your win con, despite being Mages myself. Are you also neutral?

Similarly, I could fake save someone to try to make them the NK target... but that's a bit too forward thinking and risky, we'll see if we ever need to think about that.

I think that's right based on what I can glean from their rules post. I think its safe to say all neutrals or town are Mages or Einzbern, we would need to see a scum flip to see if they have a faction like that. Unless there is a special mechanic going on in the background I don't think those factions actually mean anything other than who gets an extra brownie point when they win.
And I guess if you're claiming neutral then I can go ahead and claim as a neutral survivor. I am told that my wincon could change if certain conditions are met but I have no idea what those conditions are and what that wincon change might be. I'm hoping that other wincon becomes active because I have yet to survive until the end in any game which I was not scum.

Hm, I see. So we don't know the name of the scum "faction," if there even is one.
And I see, I guess that makes sense and it's what I expected based on the fact that my wincon revolves around yours, with it being relatively nebulous as to what yours is.
lol, for my games, I tend to survive until late game regardless of my faction, now that I think about it. If your wincon isn't cemented yet, I bet we'll find out what we're aiming for after N1.

Yep, the scum secondary faction is going to be a mystery. Since those listed factions just are like an additional town wincon they necessarily won't have one because if they win that additional town wincon is moot but I won't discount loki & Vere (well mostly loki) pulling something on us.

1. I wanted to be more active than I was, but this was a weird start period for me. But given when D2 starts, I will be more present.
2. Nothing about a possible change in alignment in my PM. Just that I win if you win, and that I'm neutral but part of The Mages' Association.
3. Wtf, because I couldn't pay the most attention at EoD, I have no idea where the VA push came from. I'll be looking into that before the start of the next phase.

VA was getting some suspicion early but I don't know how strong it is. He usually has a bit more of a presence and didn't claim so he might be scum or a master. I believed EC though so I wasn't voting there.
Got a little bit of pressure but nothing too strong really. No one really did anything with it so I should be OK going forward in the near term.

In a game with a 2-shot Town tracker, would it make sense to also have a self-watcher in FateShirou? Another tracking role, a passive one, and that they'd also be a servant? There's some weirdness around that to me. FateShirou was pretty against getting rid of EC at the end of D1, though. Not sure if that's bonus points or not.

Without knowing the full design I think it the self watch is reasonable, scum are likely going to have a ninja at least. Fortunate for them they got two claims out already.
OJ was very noncommittal, I expect him to get some heat today. The new players are also going to get a lot of looks, I will want to avoid piling on but Sephi had a very bad D1 to me.
Launch defended me way too hard. We usually have some friendly back and forth for awhile before we get into a pedantic argument and that hasn't happened yet.

UGH, I am so disappointed in my play this game. It's a combination of the lack of time (trying to manage it), and the rust. It's real.
I was writing this thing about Wee and then was gonna post it before our chat closed, and I was late by 15 minutes. I just saved it to post it, so eh:

Anyways, with that hidden letter revelation... well, I'm not completely sure what to think of that with no capacity to verify, but presumably if she wasn't scum, her partner would be able to confirm. And, well, it's a pretty elaborate story.
