It won't be easy, and it won't happen overnight. You need to control WSD with Ty4on EC. This is what I was looking for when I settled in the city center. We are looking for players with common sense, fresh thinking, deep experience and bold new ideas. Most importantly, I agree with my fundamental belief that there can be no thriving city center without a thriving mage. , up or down together in this community.

Scum can blend in with fake claims in that case though. It's risky, because it will give mafia all the possible info they could have, and might get town back at the point they are now, which is figuring out which claim is real and which isn't

A lot of the things people don't like or call busywork - talking about the game, the structure, how to approach it - those are great tactics, actually. Helps people hammer out shared expectations and getting people to talk about the game/structure is a great way for teams to try to force errors from other factions. But too often instead someone tries this, someone else doesn't like it because it's not how they play, and then either that or other reactions to it devolves into argument, and then we're here

Agreed. There's obviously what you yourself believe to be optimal play, what you think is actually scummy play but I think you need to actually take a vibe check somewhere in the middle of that (and not necessarily based on meta) on how comfortable and open a player is being even and what kind of influence they're having on the game, even if they aren't playing as you would like.

That said, you're going to misfire on people and they're going to misfire on you and that's 100% a part of the game lol but definitely I think folks need to be adaptive

The only person who can know for sure if playing is good or bad for you is yourself. I enjoy having you in the community but it would also be irresponsible and selfish of me to push you to keep playing if that is harming you.

What I can tell you is no one is mad at you or judging you for anything, it's just a game. People appreciate you. You also don't have to feel like you have to play the games to be part of the community. Like malus has suggested, there are one night mafia games that might suit you better. Or you could just hang out at discord. Either way, you will be welcomed :)

You had a great performance in this game, you played your role right and nailed your night actions, and your reads were good too. That doesn't really mean anything because it would also be fine if you had completely screwed up too, a lot of us have, and a lot of us are screwing up right now in the current game (lol), you can't win everything and we're just having fun. We are all equals when playing, and people's efforts are all worth even if playstyles are different. There is more than a way to play mafia. As you said yourself, you are a good support player, so just own that and do your thing because other people don't have the whole picture and they might be wrong if they think your play is bad, or they might even be scum and they're provoking you because you're ruffling their feathers. It's part of the game.

I'm an x-shot loud watcher. I've only used my ability on N2 so far and targeted VA where I saw Bojack visit and a second person who I have not revealed. I believe this second person is town and it's why i havent revealed them.

I also received an item N1 that let me use a 1-shot tracker with a 50% success rate. I used it on Zbeat last night and it failed. :<

Unless leo lied to me, no. It's something called a Duck Tracer and if it worked i tracked him, if it failed it told him i visited him and nothing else.
Because with the amount of claimed (and a flipped) tracker/watch shots he either had to run the risk of someone catching him in a lie or just tell the truth and hope it worked.

Maybe it DIDN'T fail... Maybe with all these trackers scum had ninja shots...

This is a great point btw. If there's something I would define Nin by in my experience with him it's that while he doesn't play conventionally, he can have really great gut reads and can pull that off. I've saw him trip up votes etc but just on a gut read really nail it.

Yeah, whenever there's no resistance to a vote and people are just there waiting for the day to end you can bet that's a mislynch. When there's scum on the line eod is much messier like D1 and 2 were.

I think town ultimately knew nin wasn't their best bet today, but they were confused on who else they should vote, and nin was caught lying so they just went with it.

That is absolutely a lesson I took away from Danganronpa lol the days we yeeted Geno and Fate there was a lethargy that I know now should be absolute panick as town haha could definitely feel that today. It's so tough in the game though and to their credit they did work their way from Kyan and Bojack as a group, just unfortunate they ended on a townie.

While I had fun i also have to say that i really really disliked how we interacted. I don't want to beat on a dead horse but the way Chuggs acted. The way so many people AGAIN went after EC just because they did not like the was he was playing, Bojack making that that terrible terrible joke as well as the General Tone Allthingspurple laid around the way he was playing with his mates just made me avoid them at all costs. This led me to just not interact with the at all. Sorry for bringing it up in the middle of an ongoing game but it is also something that made me question myself since i saw it and did not call em out on it like I promised.

So I kind of want to talk about this, because the way some people were talking about ATP in this last phase was making me uncomfortable, and I don’t like the way that was handled by the community.

So I want to start by saying I thought how you handled Bojack making a joke you didn’t appreciate was handled really well. You pointed out that it made you uncomfortable, he apologized for it, people moved on. I think ideally this should be how stuff is handled. Bojack knows what happened, and he can adjust because of that. I don’t think that’s what happened with ATP. So granted, I haven’t been following this game super closely since I replaced out, but from where I’m standing, I still don’t know exactly what ATP did that crossed the line for people, but from what I can see, he came off his interactions with Jman this phase extremely uncomfortably and was met with dog piling from people on the other side of that. And correct me if I’m wrong here, but there didn’t seem like there was really a case of telling him what the issue was, it just felt kind of snide. I don’t think this was handled in a way that was productive. I think voicing our issues is going to overall be healthy for the community, but if it just comes across as ganging up on someone, I think you’re more likely to just cause that person to quit.

I too am not really sure what the potential issues with ATP might have been. I saw the interactions with jman but I didn't really see anything that I considered crossing the line but I do know other people's lines are different. But yes we're all adults and we (mostly) should be acting like adults so if there are issues bringing them up in an adult manner and try to get them resolved.

I thought you did a good job holding people accountable and calling out behaviour that was negatively impacting some players experience. There were some moments where I saw that going on and decided not to engage since that's not a fun part of the game experience for me, but I do think it is a good way to de-escalate.

I thought you did a good job holding people accountable and calling out behaviour that was negatively impacting some players experience. There were some moments where I saw that going on and decided not to engage since that's not a fun part of the game experience for me, but I do think it is a good way to de-escalate.

I agree and there’s probably going to be plenty to discuss afterward, but I also don’t want stuff to go unsaid for that long. I think that’s a good way to make problems fester or people just to wallow in feelings, and that’s no good. I’m still kicking myself for not speaking up when things went off the rails a couple of games and I don’t really want that to happen again.

So I kind of want to talk about this, because the way some people were talking about ATP in this last phase was making me uncomfortable, and I don’t like the way that was handled by the community.

So I want to start by saying I thought how you handled Bojack making a joke you didn’t appreciate was handled really well. You pointed out that it made you uncomfortable, he apologized for it, people moved on. I think ideally this should be how stuff is handled. Bojack knows what happened, and he can adjust because of that. I don’t think that’s what happened with ATP. So granted, I haven’t been following this game super closely since I replaced out, but from where I’m standing, I still don’t know exactly what ATP did that crossed the line for people, but from what I can see, he came off his interactions with Jman this phase extremely uncomfortably and was met with dog piling from people on the other side of that. And correct me if I’m wrong here, but there didn’t seem like there was really a case of telling him what the issue was, it just felt kind of snide. I don’t think this was handled in a way that was productive. I think voicing our issues is going to overall be healthy for the community, but if it just comes across as ganging up on someone, I think you’re more likely to just cause that person to quit.

The issue didn't even originate from the interactions with jman, but that understandably became an element too. We're doing our best to mod the game, and it's isn't perfect, but we're going to clarify anything with the people involved until everyone feels comfortable.

Honestly it's very hard to predict now. I thought scum was in dire straits yesterday but they had an amazing recovery.

It's been quite exciting to spec! Lol feels like both sides still have a chance which is pretty impressive for town catching mafia on day one and two.
