First game I played I was very meticulous and careful with everything I did. Even my shitposts in day chat were planned out. It was pretty stressful.

I find it easier these days to be ‘creatively reactionary’, to sort of come up with my ideas and gambits on a whim. I never go too big with it (like claiming some bollocks in day one), but for small details or voting for someone, I just let it flow a bit.

Throw in some three dollar words (like ‘extrapolate’), and you’ve got town buying whatever you say, or at least not questioning it right away.

Lol I spent yesterday morning an absolute mess, panicking over things but I'm really enjoying this bit.

You're reminding me of my very first 2 games as Scum. I was a mess during those, especially my first one because it just felt like everyone knew I was Scum and I meticulously tried to type out each of my posts and re-read them a dozen times just to make sure they were OK enough to send out. IF I sent them out, which half of the time I didn't. Even after they were out I'd get nervous I said something wrong and everything would come crashing down, not to mention the times when I was called out and I scrambled to get some sort of response going. In the end it worked out perfectly fine but it was still immensely stressful in the moment.

Now it's like nothin'. I'll still agonize over some things but it's not even close to how it was during the first few games and it gets easier with each subsequent game. And just like doggo, playing Scum has ended up being my favorite role despite how stressful it was the first time. And despite how much I've played it recently. >.>

It won't help now but the best best advice for this is to just face the panic head on and post. It'll still be nerve-wracking but once you keep posting it'll get easier and soon you'll wonder why it was so scary in the first place. And if you get lynched? Oh well, it's still a game in the end and we're all just here to hang out and have fun. I know this won't make it much easier but don't worry! Doggo and I are here to help you out the best we can. :>

+1 for having Gotham do it and I'm fine with having it be a normal NK depending on who we pick.

I'd prefer to keep Fran around since he dislikes Alexem's vote reason and that could turn into something, but I would be fine with taking out Terra or Muffin. Maybe Grizzly? idk there

Doing some #QuickMath, we have about 5 NKs at our disposal if we never get lynched and there are no extra killing roles out there. A pretty normal amount but we should keep in mind how small this game is and how quickly the numbers will drop if we aren't careful. We don't want to go into a small game where 1/3rd of the Players are loud and Top Townies.

i'll think on it some more but I'd be fine taking out a middle-of-the-pack loud voice if we want.

or The Wizard, but I could see taking him out later. He's quiet and sensible and strikes me as someone who will get Town Read after a while.

I'm thinking Terra might be a good shot because first of all, a few people jumped on him for aggressive/defensive responses with Alexem but then he went pretty quiet after that.

Plus, that would split him and Deva up. They seem to make occasional wee digs relating to where they came from before.

and no, that suggestion is not influence by the fact that The Wizard is scum reading me. he's starting to be quietly town read by everyone ( a few have already mentioned liking him ) and due to that it's highly unlikely he ever gets lynched, coupled with the fact that he's very sensible in his posts it's unlikely he ever really comes under scrutiny.

i know doggo apparently lead him by the hand last time he was scum though, so if you feel you can do it again we can keep him around for that.

Hey, just as a heads up, I've requested Sophia to sub me out of the game.

Really sorry to do this, but I've been given a very important project at work today that's going to require my full attention for the next month at least, and it's something that could really elevate my career.

I'd stay in the game if I thought I could balance that and this, but I really don't want to leave you both hanging anytime I'm away from the game, that wouldn't be fair to you two.

Hey Gotham, I need a second opinion on this.

With Rats now backing down from Deva, I'm not sure if I should keep pestering for the lynch or back down as well. I have a feeling people won't like either but the former does attract a good amount of attention, but it's following this whole 'I'm Town and don't want Town to make silly mistakes' thing.

I might still not give a full answer until tomorrow just to see what everyone says but i'm really 50/50 on it. :x

I honestly feel that Deva will continue to cause a fuss but backing down on a lunch will keep him around as someone else to lynch later. When I back down off this I'll probably use the player evaluations as a benefit of the doubt but still stay suspicious enough for later.

Yeah I think Rats is something because I think he claimed vanilla Town but then acted annoyed about having to say this. Surely this is something you wouldn't be that fussed about?

A Tracker is a role that can target a Player at Night and learn whether or not they visited someone. So if they had targeted you last Night, they would have seen you go to Terra and put two-and-two together.

That's why the Ninja weapon we have is good. A Ninja Kill can't be tracked.

Also, yeah, Deva is an interesting case. I do see why he did all his gambits and I see the merits in them, they just call way too much attention and make him look really scummy. Hey I have been making an effort to post more useful stuff today but I can see that my D1 was fairly shitty so I apologise for that. I spent all of D1 in a constant internal panic.

Tomorrow I will continue on my Muffin Quest. He seems to blow hot and cold and I think we can use this.

Told Cabot he sucks. He spouted off obscenities. I kicked him in the shin. He yelled some nonsense about being shin-proof. What a guy
