Medium as a role traditionally talks to dead players, i.e. spec. That's what a "medium" is, after all. Without commenting on this game, PMs, or anything else, all information points to spec, but folks have different experiences/backgrounds/assumptions. But from general use of the role and the meaning of "medium," I don't know how folks to get to anything but spec myself.
eta: sorry, I think we cross-posted but again, I'm just speaking about the role as it exists on sites that list mafia roles, etc. the way various communities do it is a different thing and worth discussing but we can save it all for later

I once had a role where i was told spec would answer and the gamerunner either acknowledged to me or wrote specifically in the PM that spec wouldn’t get spoilers while I was alive. But it may have had a custom name.

Sorry buddy. If it's any consolation, Hedin is totally correct, vig type powers are exciting but there's a lot of pressure if you goof. You did your best and made it far into the game, don't beat yourself up.
Yeah this is really interesting to me. I wonder how Geno navigates this, Wiz definitely was the only one who had the right idea that maybe there isnt a neutral so I would just take him out and leave Sorian alive and hope he whiffs again

When I suggested actions to go with the happy meals, I intentionally mixed up which ones would be good and bad based on the possibility of whoever rolled Mackey reading Cap's mascot review thread and going by his preferences. There are some that I intended to be guessable, like Birdie (as Cap can't stand her), but others are supposed to be the opposite of what might be expected.

Yeah honestly well done to everyone there, kind of astonished Geno made it so far considering the position he was in and the cards dealt, he made sure it wasn't a sure thing until the very end. And congrats to the town players who kept a level head and worked through things slowly and methodically. Great stuff :)

Final notes for game and RNG: melon pulling the weekey role when she’s one of the few people who have read as much classic lit as I have is :chefskiss: but it’s a shame darkside didn’t get Ephi’s role card cause that combo would have been high-larious.

Fwiw, I think you played great and it was necessary to question me the way you did on the last day. I wouldn’t feel discouraged just because no one was looking at that angle. It was a good town tell for you too, the only issue was that damn two scum must be left thing

They’d have made something up. Changes on the fly are what separate good gamerunners from great ones.
Not to be “no fun allowed,” but things like this COULD be interpreted as commentary on a game in process so I suggest waiting until post-game to make additions like this in the future, no matter how funny, and this one is very funny

I thought replacing out and putting someone in my position there would be a bit cruel, that said I had limited options with how much it was stacked agaisnt me and I had to make a choice, if I let town discuss this for 48h every time they eventually just get it right, that said yeah never again, unless flavor really interests me I'm done playing until masters ends(maybe 1 game in the summer break though)
