- I'm not making any hard and fast syntax on how the transaction needs to be approved, just both parties have to clearly consent to the transaction.

Hey Fran! So I trust you and am gonna just give you the full rundown like I did Ty.

I am a neutral shopkeeper as many speculated, and exit the game after I sell enough of my goods. I get a random list of items each night to offer with no control over which are offered, and I also do not get any info about what the items do. I could have had a costume account, but I thought it would be more fun to just not so that’s why the balance seems off per some of the comments in the game thread lol

I invited Nin D1 because I didn’t expect anyone would be willing to buy something so early and instead just wanted to get some reactions from him. I was not going to reveal the full details of my role at that time.

I invited Ty D2 because with his claim I figured he might be willing to part with some exp, I trusted him overall, and with that in mind I just went ahead and claimed to him given Muffin had also just claimed a town gossip role which was obviously going to be hard to not acknowledge the overlap with my role.

I do have some items if you’re interested, as usual no idea what they do:

A Small Slip of Paper
Box of Candy Hearts
Sontendo Box Power Magazine
A Roll of Toilet Paper

Hopefully now that you see my role it makes a bit more sense some of my demeanor in game. I personally think I’m more or less a gacha machine since I functionally am blind throughout this whole process. I can choose who to invite, but beyond that I’m working with a lot of half pieces of info.

I was sure that the shop was neutral. You seem bening and I'm always happy to help a good neutral to win the game. But we may have a problem: I have 6xp and I really want to use my tier 3 ability. So I'm not very convinced to spend my xp.

So, you leave the game if you sell all the items? How many can you sell every night?

That’s okay! I figured I’d go with someone else I trust tonight because I imagine tomorrow I’ll be pushed to claim (or you/Ty will be pushed to name me) and getting early sells wasn’t going to mean much if I get myself voted out beforehand lol

I leave the game when I reach a certain amount of exp from sales (so I can’t just win by accruing exp normally). I don’t know what my full list of items is or if I can ever run out (or what happens if I do). I suppose I could ask, but I’ve never not had four items to offer so far. I figured I’d be more worried about it if my stock ever seemed low lol The items do change from night to night though to an extent, so it seems random what I get from my overall pool.

I think that you have been honest with me and I'm going to be 100% honest with you: I'm town and my Tier 3 ability allows me to do a vig shot. I was planning to shot someone tonight and that was why I was asking who was Malus paired with.

But now, I feel bad that you targeted me and wasted a day. I would really love to help you achieve your wincon so tell you what: Would you sell me the Sontendo Box Power Magazine for 1 xp? That way you get something tonight and I use my T1 ability instead. It's not that good but I should be able to get 3 xp tomorrow so I just need to live tonight and can still shoot N4.

You can share anything that you’d like, I only ask that you don’t share it’s specifically me unless you need to. If people are causing a big enough fuss I’ll openly claim for everyone. If there’s an urgency to it though I understand that you gotta do what you gotta do.

I was going to shoot either Turm, Geno or Chuggs. Muffin was in my list but maybe he is lucky and can prove that he is a gossip.

I think Turm and Chuggs are likely. The D1 vote from Malus on Turm that he was so quick to back away from keeps nagging at me. My Chuggs read is a little flimsier because I know he pinged me as scummy early, and there’s that chance I’m just tunneling. It just feels like scum Chuggs to me. Chuggs and Sorian are also both really good at guessing my alignment, and that he keeps treating me like the boogeyman just doesn’t feel natural to me. Like I’m not convinced he’s convinced, if that makes sense.

I think there’s likely to be someone that has gotten themselves into a fairly safe position - something like Wizard, Sorian, melon, or TWE but that pile likely just starts to get solved by NKs with a bit more time, so not the most pressing group to me.

That also leaves probably one in my pile of sketchy nulls: Alexem, Ael, Geno, or Muffin. That’s probably the hardest group to puzzle out, but I’d also say if I’m wrong on any of the above that I’d say the additional scum is still probably in this pile.

I got a bit paranoid of my Nin read with Malus’s flip and the Loved ability they could grant, but after thinking on it more I’m not convinced in a game of this nature mafia would be able to get a double vote and also make someone hated. Feels a bit brutal, so I think I’m okay with my meta read that Nin has to be town for just completely not checking OM once that night phase lol

We didn't get Nintendo Power here but we had a magazine called "Club Nintendo". We used to buy them all the time when I was a kid and I read them religiously. So this gets some nostalgia vibes for me.

Awe, I love that. I used to go to the grocery store with my Grammy so that I could go to the magazine section and just sit and read any issues they might have while she shopped. Nintendo Power and EGM were alway the big ones at the stores in Indiana.

Well I hope your magazine guides you true my friend. I’ll be rooting for town, I just can’t help myself. And if against all odds you are mafia and you’re laughing with your buddies then well played - I’m enjoying the ride either way.
