Trying to figure out if this bickering is real or not.
I'll take that betBet 5 coins: Chuggernaut and ATP will both flip mafia
Anyway, here's where I'm at today.
I was already having bad vibes about Fate, and Faddy's post last night pushed me over the edge a bit there. HP felt like more of a stretch of the two, but I've liked his responses today.
VA has done almost nothing so far and I haven't found his posts today anymore convincing.
Malus spent the whole day just kind of talking about landlord vote in a way that felt more like busy work than doing any sort of solving.
Stu I've already talked about.
LP and Blarg are making nothing posts so far. Willing to give them another day before I look there, but them not appearing to solve is usually a red flag.

So far I feel him kinds of bystandery
Great scum!tell bro
Thanks for the excuse to vote for you
vote: Turmoil7
Absolutely sus since you were pushing Cheshire cat for landlord
I can't believe Sawneeks still only has 1 vote
DOUBLE: Sawneeks
The hell is this?
Faddy voting for Sawneeks seems sus because she seems interested in solving the game
Turm doesn’t always draw a great through line in his thinking, and people convince themselves that’s scummy play instead of just a player who doesn’t feel the need to overexplain themselves. It’s an easy thing to get called out on, pretty sure scum team in Transistor didn't even need to do anything to get town to vote out turm D1, but it’s always town!turm. I'm curious what scum!turm would be like, if he would present his ideas the same way or what. What is it about Turms that gets people circling like sharks smelling blood?
This is true, we sometimes feel the need to rely on common scum traits that we think scum should possess instead of how people are reacting and that gives deepwolves the best of times. It's a very surface level scum read that doesn't have much to do with his content but is a comfortable stance early game.Turm doesn’t always draw a great through line in his thinking, and people convince themselves that’s scummy play instead of just a player who doesn’t feel the need to overexplain themselves. Frankly, with a handful of exceptions, I think this community has moved past scum that jumps votes a lot and present ideas poorly, but that's what people hang onto.
I mean I told them in the first post of the chat that they would both die if one of them did that night :PI'm not sure why everyone thinks the one-shot night chat made it so both would die. Because they called it a lovers' chat? Seems like a leap to me.
I definitely see what you guys are saying. There's a kind of stereotype of "mafia behavior" that can get people voted out, even if actual mafia are never really seen acting that way.
I consider myself a design radicalturmoil7 said:ngl does this game have a single normal role lol

Faddy said:Make better posts. You have given nothing to this game but petty sniping at me. I scum read you, get over it.
I just think this whole thing only leads to one obvious conclusion but instead it’s been a lot of handwringing.I'm not sure why everyone thinks the one-shot night chat made it so both would die. Because they called it a lovers' chat? Seems like a leap to me.

Forgot to point this out at the time, but especially in hindsight now that Sneeks is actually voting on turm, this set off alarms for me.Sawneeks said:I always, always scum read Turm regardless of what he does so I'm trying my best not to tunnel in on him because I usually end up wrong. He just naturally plays so scummy that I can't tell if it's an actual scummy move or him being him. :<
Blarg has a tell once he lives long enough. By Day 4 or so if he isn't solving or trying to put stuff together then he is scum and should be killed immediately.
I've found he's more engaged when he's scum. I town read him immediately in EZA for making good observations on what was going on in the game, but in games where he's been town, it's always been hemming and hawing about whether to get rid of him for not contributing or doing anti-town stuff. My perspective might be a bit skewed because I have a sample size of three recent games (I don't think I ever had a good read of him on GAF) and I was scum in the two games I've played with town!Blarg, but I felt like he hurt town more as town lolHow yo figure, Launch? I think Sneeks is being pretty straightforward there. Blarg definitely solves when he's town, it's just in a Blarg style.

This is a cheap manipulation attempt.
This is why I’m sitting on all the scum tells I’m collecting while spectating here.Obviously, I’m just speaking on my own experience with him, I might be dead ass wrong.
The problem with throwing out a meta read is that even if you’re right, the person will read it and go do something different next time :v
You should post your advice anyway, I'm sure somone will read it.This is why I’m sitting on all the scum tells I’m collecting while spectating here.
Also my mentee doesn’t need any mentoring and I’m sad.

For the benefit of those of us too late in their "careers" to get mentoring....You should post your advice anyway, I'm sure somone will read it.![]()
god is this game set on extra hard???
I hope she sticks around to witness bastard games.
Hmm. I think bringing up activity can be a disingenuous argument. Plenty of players have made their minimum post counts and then dipped the rest of the day regardless of alignment. The last thing we'd want is to eliminate a strong town PR because they weren't around to defend themselves.
ATP I appreciate this but you should've held on to that and claimed when you found a red check. you just painted a huge target on your back :<
Hoping for a doc protect. Scum can easily distract town with this until EoD.At this point just claim. Dancing around it doesn’t help town and scum will either already know or kill you regardless, so just tell town.
I’m super surprised after he got the green check but still continued to suspect me in EZA, he’s all-in with Sneeks here.Someone get the tissues and ice cream ready for the betrayal ATP is gonna experience.
I swear she does it more to soften herself/make herself seem gentler and less of a threat.lmao, you are so very right about Sneeks use of that emote, Monkey
JUSTICE FOR LEOHey everyone! :) I'll catch up a bit on the thread
Hey, sorry about D1. I didn’t mean any ill will with that, and in hindsight certainly wasn’t the best approach, but I apologize for any frustration it may have caused.Hey everyone! :) I'll catch up a bit on the thread
Yes, "probably."My guess is still that if there are four scum, two probably joined the train to gain town cred while the others stayed away.

this game is like gambling, but you dont even win money if you win. what are we doing with our lives
VA is town af.Sneeks
Chugg/Panda
Ambulance
VA
I feel like I have at least 3/4 there.
I considered begging scum to help shephard him to end gameSee, if y’all would’ve left me alive, I would’ve dragged turm through to the end of the game, and all I would’ve asked for in return was Geno. On paper, that’s a really good deal.
I consider it conditionally useful. So many negative utility roles on town's side this game. Probably means the scum team don't have very powerful roles.
very narrow conditions I would say lolI consider it conditionally useful.
I'm gonna enjoy seeing this setup in its entirety"Ael you are cruel :'("
Glad to see you playing again Leo! I could tell you were town XD
Interesting that no one here in spec suspected turmoil. Too bad to see him die so early :-S
they're getting pretty lucky with these role claims coming out so soon thenI’m pretty sure the useless roles are meant to get scum to use powers on something they shouldn’t.
You’re god damn right
I had a role that could give out wills as well as forge one. Someone else had a role where they could pick one of four things, one of them being a cop, and then we could search a player at night, and we would learn what the role was. So our thought was “Oh we find the cop and forge the results to help us”
So yeah, I saw the trap as soon as Hedin flipped. If someone knew I gave out wills, and we tried to forge, let’s say Hedins will even though he was very much not a cop, I’m all of a sudden in a shit ton of trouble. Shits fucked up, but I thought it a really intresting idea.
The Confidant was actually something I took from mafia universe https://www.mafiauniverse.com/forums/database/mafia-roles/role/?mafiarole=Confidant
Cop is probably the second worst of your available choices, shouldn't have been so greedy
