As you watched Beowulf’s spirit origin disappear, some fading memories came back. Not this version of you, but another version in another holy grail war remembers little things. You remember freeing yourself from a terrible master that will never be your master. You remember wanting to disappear rather than be with such a man that reminds you of him… You remember, a kind man with a cold face who showed you kindness in your weakest moment…

Things have gotten harder now that you don’t have a servant, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still complete your plans. And you can change things for the other servants in this holy grail war too.

You are now a Mason Maker!

During the night you can use the command Rule Breaker: player. If the player is a master, they will be roleblocked for the night. However, if you hit a servant, you sever their connection to their master meaning they are no longer be one sided lovers. They will continue to have a night chat, but if their master dies, the servant won’t die with them. They will be notified something has changed for them, but not told what it was.

You win and leave the game when you sever the connection of 3 servants!

If you are alive at the end of the game and have not done this, you will still win as a survivor however.

Okay so I've done some vote analysis after VA's flip, which that along with my Gladiator role was the extra reasons for wanting to kill VA that I was hinting at. I'm sorry VA, that I pushed for you and you ended up getting voted out as town. I still think your role was negative utility and I'm glad you weren't a master and didn't take anyone else out with you. I really thought there was a chance that VA was scum, but I knew their flip would be helpful regardless. In my opinion, now that we know VA was town, I think scum are most likely to have voted for VA on D1 OR D2, as well as on D4, to cause maximum chaos. Here's what I found interesting about the votes in terms of analyzing swerves:

Ephi voted VA D1 and D2
Zem voted VA D1, D2 and D4
SkyOdin voted VA D1, Z-Beat D2, VA D4
HP voted VA D1, Faddy D2
Shirou voted VA D1, Z-Beat D2, VA D4

Faddy has continued to wiggle his way through this game despite seemingly not even paying attention at times. He has a bad voting record, and he hasn't done much of worth in this game. It's a very easy place for scum to hide. I think Faddy is scum.

I did go and read D1 of EZA like I said I would, and the Faddy that was present there had many similarities to the Faddy in this game. It's possible that Chugg soul read is accurate for this game as well, but I am not making this argument purely off meta, it is only one component.

Overall, I think Faddy is the best use of my ability right now, and I think we need to hit scum today because we are certainly on the backfoot.

I would strongly bet that if SkyOdin is truthful about being a second protective role (doctor), they are Mages Association. I think Stan's role is close enough to mine to be considered an equivalent, and I am Einzberns, so I am betting Stan is Mages Association. I've got all my cards on the table at this point so I am willing to claim my flavour, but I am a bit hesitant in case there is a scum ability that relies on knowing extra info. Thanks for reading.

That's about it tbh lol. From a game design perspective, I find Messengers to be more fun to include than a Fruit Vendor, which serves the same purpose ultimately as a confirmable interaction that occurred between two players and also something for a Tracker/Watcher to see that isn't the Mafia kill or a Doc/Cop. With a Messenger at least you give the player some more agency in terms of what they are sending, which can be fun for them lol.

With a Messenger at least you give the player some more agency in terms of what they are sending, which can be fun for them lol.

Stan's creativity as a messenger in Nier Mafia is part of what really made me want to make everyone a messenger in mystery mafia... to see the creativity that flowed.

Mind you part of the plan was to have a poor unlimited tracker getting a butt load of messenger visits to hide the other results, but town were meanies >:(

I have to root for this team, they’re too plucky. We got my mentoree who doesn’t really need me, Pandora, coming off of a couple of rough games, HP, hasn’t rolled scum before without something just fucking him over, ATP, Wahbulance who doesn’t have much confidence in his mafia game, and Faddy and Reki who subbed in when we really needed them. Look at that team and tell me you don’t want to root for them.
