Right, without discussing either of the two new flips or really giving much except for a passing "id lynch there" to the override.

Blarg voted everyone and almost no one voted him. Kyan was pretty widely townread.

You've been on the block twice. CCS train happened literally as you started pulling in votes and then a goddamn override saved you the next day. No, I want you flipped. When you're scum, I want monkey turbo'd as well. Then we have inactives to talk about.

If you're town, you might want to start spinning your wheels proving it because I guarantee you I'm not getting lynched today.

Yeah, sure, I'm sure you'll throw out an override too to stop it. I have no way to prove anything except trying to solve the game. Giving me an impossible task when you clearly aren't going to listen is useless.

They were ordinary Town, what else is there to say

Uh huh, nothing to be said about the people who had suddenly started pushing Blarg at the end? Shouldn't they be my scum mates or something?

You mean Topo and. . who? You want me to post the vote count again? I even have a better royal-style count tracking cancelled votes...

No one else voted Blarg yesterday. Kyan voted him d1 and cancelled.

You realize votes aren't the be all end all right? You can throw shade at a person to see how likely you'd be to garner votes. Yes, I mean Topo as the big one but clearly there was enough mind share for monkey to jump and override

Blarg sort of brought it on him self with his seemingly random vote flips close to deadline.

If Sorian is scum again why couldn't scum save him. 4 votes out of 15 for the lynch, it wasn't an overwhelming vote count.

Faddy said he didn't agree with Blarg that Kark is scum.

Kark and monkey said Blarg should settle on a vote.

That is the extent of blarg "shade" minus Topo. No one was else was suggesting or even talking about lynching Blarg.

Riveting conversation. Let's talk about the votes on Kyan now. Literally no one the entire game. Did he catch some shade? A bit, but he was widely town read. Guys, this game isn't long. It's easy to check things.

Scum team couldn't save Sorian because Crimson is also scum and the closest thing to another train was nin, who Monkey already had her vote on

Why would we talk about votes on Kyan? The conversation on Kyan is why he would be killed. I'm aware that's a simpler answer but you don't seem to care to comment on them unless being forced to.

Blarg was pushing his version of events pretty hard and then flipping around doing... something. I made a choice to find out what was possibly motivating Blarg to see if he was just convinced or if he was trying to overwhelm the thread. You think I'd have gotten a straight answer out of him, one that could be trusted? Probably not. But anyone who thinks I did that as scum is way off base. Why on earth would I do that even if there was a scum override?

If Sorian is scum, he's still scum today and is likely to get lynched. Now we have some other action to discuss and we know how to weigh Blarg's Blarginess. I think gauging reactions, too, will be fruitful. If you wanna lynch me, go to; I'm ordinary town now and no loss.

I will say I think Faddy, Dr. Worm, feps, and possibly Nomadic are clean. Potentially cabot.

I believe Kyan was killed because he was relatively townread and killing him doesn't leave us much to work with. My guess is at least one scum is pretty savvy, which does point toward a Sorian, with an eye toward a longer game. I would guess also one of the inactives.

I will be less active this phase. I have LOADS of work to do but I will be here. Say probably "normal" activity and not monkey activity. I will be back tonight to answer more. I get that people are mad. I don't blame you. I was not trying to save Sorian; I do think Sorian will hang himself if scum, as I said yesterday.

You tell me, what am i trying to hide that will be unveiled by kyan discussion?

He was killed because generally town read, active, with few strings tied to him since he was never voted for and only voted three times in two days. That's it as far as I can tell.

I said Blarg was town. I'm willing to bet good money that cabot is too.

I think you and Kark are pushing an extremely similar narrative which makes me think one is playing off the other to pocket or this is talked about grind the scenes. I think nin and Topo are sketchy as fuck.

Less so but Nomadic is probably town too, I feel like he'll hang himself quick the first time he ever rolls scum.

flatearthpandas

Round Moon Bears
I have a tendency to tunnel. I'll back up a bit. A bit.

What I want is to lynch the CCS train. I am convinced there is scum there. I am not convinced there is any scum on the Kawl train.

I would like to lynch CCS train in this order:

Sorian
El Topo
Nin
Faddy

If Sorian then Monkey -- they tried a wild gambit
If El Topo then ?
If Nin then ?
If Faddy then ?

Sorian first top reasons: saved by OR d2, Sorian train d1 derailed by CCS train while Sorian and Kawl were tied for votes --derailed by people from the Sorian train, we learn more, maybe tunneling

That's most of what I got for now. Might actually switch nin and topo. Topo started CCS, but it seemed legit. Nin just yolo'd straight into it

flatearthpandas

Round Moon Bears
Hold on, going through d1 again, what i had was misleading.

I had thought topo was on Sorian before, but that was ages before.

I made an attack on sorian and then kark and nomad jumped on. Quickly. Just a few minutes later topo made his attack on ccs with nin and Sorian. Which is when dusk jumped on to tie kawl for first with both.

Kawl was previously leading I think, which doesn't clear topo but dusk looks like a saint to me and topo looks better.

If Sorian is town, nin kark and nomad look bad.

flatearthpandas

Round Moon Bears
Dusk and biscuit within a minute of each other. I'm thinking both town. That is a fucking committed bus to double down when two alternate wagons spring up within minutes of each other... one of which is definitely town.

Would lynch:
Sorian
Nin
Nomad
Kark
Crimson
Bronx

Meh:
Monkey
Faddy
Topo

Would not lynch:
Dusk
Biscuit
Cabot

Faddy's CCS vote was from the beginning of the day, could easily have moved without suspicion. Actually, I think that looks pretty bad tbh.

I thought the Faddy thing was suspicious too but nothing else from Faddy has sparked any scum notions for me, particularly. After talking to CCS I think of the Faddy vote as like the more productive version of a No Lynch. Am on board with all your would-lynches except Nomadic. I don't think that one would be terribly productive today and I don't think he's scum.

cabot

Why.
town guv was override. Eating with fam atm but will post more in a bit. Was gonna go for Sorian but Blarg's votes were baiting something and didn't know if he was trying to control narrative or bait scum. Decided to flip him to get the answer. Shakes up the game, too, I hope, which we needed in a bad way. We need to figure what to do with Crimson and Bronx too if they don't turn up today.

Back later.

you gave us a day phase which meant the vast majority of votes were useless cause nothing was confirmed

on a personal note, you wasted one of my stronger town reads.

Thanks.

cabot

Why.
That's enough sass.

I don't think Monkey is a scum override, I think the best (well balanced, probably not the most fun) of a scum override was in DR mafia, where the scum could use it but then would be publically revealed as scum.

You need a counter balance thats sufficiently powerful, scum already control the night, to have the ability to control the day needs a sufficient drawback.

We appear to have two separate tunnels going on, fep and kark on Sorian.

I trust fep more than Kark, though frankly Topo has flipped it in my books, his vote on Blarg now knowing he was town looks hella lazy, and he didnt even check that I had a vote on yesterday, and I said a few times I'd vote Sorian beforehand.

Crimson was essentially Kawl redux, I wasn't

cabot

Why.
I could reconsider Topos case against CCS on D1, it was a lot of work but whats stopping Topo just gathering up a case on him throughout the day phase, ready to drop it whenever one of his scum mates were in trouble?

The fact he didn't repeat this on D2 kinda supports his theory.

Right, without discussing either of the two new flips or really giving much except for a passing "id lynch there" to the override.

Regarding these, kyan was a pretty safe bet. Widely townread and no one was really pushing for his lynch. Not much to discern there.

Blarg has the two items

1) Monkey choosing Blarg (covered above, and she's also responded)
2) El Topo's vote on Blarg (which I've discussed a bit)

What's your feelings on Topo, Sorian?

I think he's slightly less chance of being scum than nin. I do agree that there is scum in the pack from day 1 voting for CCS and nin is sheeping and coasting since then. Topo is wrong on a lot of things but his Blarg vote is in character, he's hard headed with these kind of things and never seems to try and read Blarg correctly.

cabot

to be clear, I wouldn't have brought up a scum override if the decision to take out Blarg over Sorian had actually made any sense to me whatsoever

obviously I wasn't around for the last phase so it may have made more sense in that context. I initially read through the thread chronologically, and I mentally had Blarg indexed as "lean town" before I got around to the flip. nonetheless, he mostly just read like Blarg screwing around to me.

Think it's just a case of Town monkey making a not-so-good decision on shooting on a day lynch.

Was he though? he was screwing around D1, but he started to solve in D2 and was vote hopping around the targets allowing others to affect the outcome of the vote.

what are your reads for the rest of the game, Worm?

I voted for Blarg because I didn't agree with his strategy and thoughts. I felt that his proposal to lock us down to three suspects, leaving Faddy out of the group because he cast the first vote, was unreasonable and problematic. Furthermore I wasn't sold on the two main suspects, I even asked for reasons, but no one bothered to answer. Casting a late, possibly deciding vote on a candidate that I had not spoken much for or against, that I had not looked into, seemed dishonest and harmful.

Is this relating to Crimson only, or both Sorian and crimson?

If both, why had not looked into Sorian?

cabot

Why.
I dont feel either crimson nor el topo. And i am pretty sure about me. Sorian i love you man but this personal bs is just low tier. Vote: Sorian

To respond to your question, yes i scum read him from day 2. i wanted to give him a chance this time around, thats why i did not vote for him on day one since it would have just looked like antipical nin move „going after sorian once again“. There is nothing leading up to that override that suggests Blarg was a real target. It was a defensive move.

Kawl, ccs or sorian. Tough choice

Day 1 choices. You chose CCS in the end. Don't know why it's a tough choice cause you didn't offer much views on each person.

That's about it directly bar your vote on him on D2.

Speaking of D2, your targets outside of inactives were monkey and nomad:

Outside of this safe space I would probably go for either Nomadic and or Hey monkey.

Can't say I'm convinced by your consistent scum reading of Sorian.

That's true and I am sorry for that. But beside of that there is not much I can do other than trying to explain myself.

You risk monkey turning up non-useful info right now. She may indeed be a town governer of some sort (though it looks very unlikely she's Town). Or her role, as she said, may have reverted to something more innocent.

You simply answer more questions by lynching Sorian today. And yes, that is including the small likelihood that he's Town.

cabot

Why.
Come on guys, don't let yourselves get talked into this "that would be too obvious" trap. It's pretty clear that monkey used that command to save Sorian from getting lynched. There's no other way to interpret that.

That was a pretty quick climbdown Kark.

You've already highlighted some doubts however alight you might see them.

We don't have enough information to make that call.

It might seem implausible for scum to have all these powers together, but town may be packing quite a bit of tools themselves.

We also have to consider that the game may be plain unbalanced in scum's favour, or that town doesn't have the proper coordination to make use of the tools they've got.

I think thinking in teams is a good path and from an outside perspective, Kawl/Crimson/Sorian/me makes sense. It also makes me wonder if there is scum within the other inactives, how do we construct those possible teams? What do those other possibilities start to look like if it's people who are more erratic?
I trust fep more than Kark
I agree here. Kark has been very singleminded this game and while feps has as well, feps seems to be more organic about it, reacting; Kark's is more calculated, focusing on convenient targets. I have some kinda feeling too about Kark and Sorian using LB2 repeatedly to explain each others' behavior. I feel like that's dropped off radar a bit and perhaps it should not, as it was very odd.

Think it's just a case of Town monkey making a not-so-good decision on shooting on a day lynch.
I don't want to beat a dead Blarg (sorry, friend), but those vote switches after his push-push-push of nothing outside of one narrow angle on the CCS lynch looked suspect and it was easy to verify one way or another. So I did. And to whomever it was (sorry, I don't have it in my quotes) who said I was against killing an active player, that's true. And it's something I considered before pulling the trigger. But Blarg was in a tunnel and even telling others not to step outside the tunnel.

So you flip Sorian and if he's scum, then you flip me and... what next? Where does that take you? When you have time, let me know privately what you find weird, and I can see if there's anything I can do to fix it. That goes for everyone. Part of the reason we're hosting this here is to work the bugs out of the new site.

I'm going to be working on the site in a little while, so if colors and stuff start to change, that's why. Shouldn't affect gameplay.

Also, to what Ouro said, we're aware that some players need replacements. We're working on it.

The fact that Sorian has lowkey defended me throughout the game is one of my personal reasons to suspect him. Maybe it's because I'm just coming off Dark Souls and have post-Sawneeks distress syndrome, but every time Sorian says something in my favor, I flinch a little.

On Day 1, Kawl got enough votes on him for mafia to start getting concerned. The problem is that as an inactive, he wasn't gonna defend himself. They needed to push the vote themselves.

At a critical juncture, Sorian and Kawl were tied as frontrunners with 3 votes each. An out for their mafia patner presented itself. Lynch Sorian, a player who would likely be a big problem for a mafia already misfiring with Kawl's inactivity.

But no, instead the vote goes to CCS, who had one vote at the time.

It looked like two mafia were up for a lynch, and CCS was the bystander who ended up getting it.

Alternate theory, Kawl was in the lead and scum tried to set up Sorian because several players (including me) had shown a willingness to lynch Sorian on day 1.

Ok, i am here, everyone relax

To respond to your question, yes i scum read him from day 2. i wanted to give him a chance this time around, thats why i did not vote for him on day one since it would have just looked like antipical nin move „going after sorian once again“. On day 2 however it was a whole nother show. I am probably going to vote for him today even though there is the monkey incident which i will ignore.

Why would you ignore the monkey incident? That seems like exactly the type of bait you'd fester over for days.

I think I'm on the same page as Cabot and feps ATM

Sorian > Topo as far as lynch targets, nin and Faddy don't stand out

Scum NKd two people who voted Kawl D1 iirc? Don't think that's coincidence - feels like Sorian's bus spin is bs. Imo we would do better to lynch in people who voted CCS than to sniff out bussers

You don't lynch scum day 1 without a healthy bussing. I'm well aware that good play is to check in the CCS voters first but you're insane if you don't think someone pushed Kawl who knew.

Ask those questions when the game is finished.

(Because I know that what I'm saying makes no sense and I wouldn't want you to pull the curtain on me).

Which isn't gonna happen if they're both scum

I've made my feelings on scum overrides well known in this community. It does not matter what orientation the toggles on myself and monkey are set to in terms of scum/town, I'm never going to scum read an override.

then why didn't they go through with it?

Because Topo brought CCS to the table and that caused the voting base to splinter even further. Factor in anyone being afk or just bad communication and suddenly you have too few votes when spread to the wind.

So the lynchers on day 1 and 2

Kawl (7)

heymonkey
Blargonaut
squidyj

Dusk Soldier
BiscuitFreak69
CCS
kyanrute

Sorian (4)
Dusk Soldier
Karkador
Nin1000
cabot

So Dusk is the only player on both lynches. I don't think the same scum buses two days in a row, also why sacrifice Sorian on such a close vote. 4 other players on Kawl have been flipped town, heymonkey has a very heavily implied town role. That leaves Darryl aka Dr Worm as a potential bus on day 1.

All that was looking at the case for scum sorian and why it doesn't stand up to scrutiny

Sorian, who is scum between monkey, Dusk, and me

Dusk, I've been saying as much since yesterday. You could be but I didn't get any of the scum vibes from Darryl and I haven't really tried to read you yet and monkey clearly is town.

You're not being clear on why Sorian as scum doesn't hold up to scrutiny

Look at the facts. Scum would need to lose 2 votes in a row, they would need to lose the 2nd vote with only 4 votes on Sorian. We would also need to believe that the plethora of confirmed townies on the day 1 lynch there is very little overlap on the player base voting out Sorian on day 2.

I think we can rule out any day 2 bussers since scum already dropped a player, which pretty much greenchecks Dusk in a Scum Sorian situation.

I can't see any way this holds up.

No, we just have pro scum hunters in here who hit everyday and group votes better than the team that can actually privately communicate.

/s

I feel like, for the most part, we are super off base. nin or Topo is likely and people seem to get that. Past them though, I see Dusk and then one of Kark or FEP. Kark and FEP are pushing the same narrative and the only reason I edge out FEP for now is because Kark started it first and I think scum FEP is feeding into the existing tunnel. Dusk is more PoE than anything.

Oh, I forgot, I can talk about this now - when Dusk asked if the roles were selected for us instead of RNGed, I reacted because I hollered at Ouro as soon as I saw my role PM with much the same reaction. If Ouro's trying to "torture us" or whatever, this is the perfect role for me because I second-guess myself constantly and allow myself to be swayed by others. So an override? Makes sense. Why would Dusk think that, then? What's his perfect role?

May be a small thing, but worth thinking on.

Alternate theory, Kawl was in the lead and scum tried to set up Sorian because several players (including me) had shown a willingness to lynch Sorian on day 1.

Quoting all these together because I think this is a possibility and not just because of CCS, though that would feed in, but also because if there's another inactive or less active in scum, pushes would be hard or too obvious, making it difficult to pull off.

Sorian, I don't think it's feps. God knows I could be wrong but I'd call Kark before feps, long before. I'm 50/50 on nin at the moment.

It's easier to lose a second vote when you're already playing one down, though it probably does rule out Topo/Sorian as w/w

please bold the parts you don't understand.

Alright, see if I'm reading each part right, and clarify.

Look at the facts. Scum would need to lose 2 votes in a row, they would need to lose the 2nd vote with only 4 votes on Sorian.

So what you're saying is, Sorian can't be scum, because scum wouldn't offer him as a bus two days in a row?

We would also need to believe that the plethora of confirmed townies on the day 1 lynch there is very little overlap on the player base voting out Sorian on day 2.

This sentence just doesn't make sense grammatically.

I think we can rule out any day 2 bussers since scum already dropped a player, which pretty much greenchecks Dusk in a Scum Sorian situation.

Sure? He's not really on my list either.

I kept my vote on Crimson because that is who we should have lynched.

How is that an answer? Did you explain yourself in the thread yesterday about why we should lynch Crimson? Because right now I see a player who made a random vote on D1 that got CCS to soft claim and one who almost got Crimson lynched for no reason other than claiming a day later he was "who we should have lynched".
