I’ve only seen streams of other people playing it but it definitely looks like a good time. I actually heard about it from a friend I had described Mafia to and he sent me a video saying that it sounded like that game i told him about lol

Glad to see so many new players. We have some great mentors for them too ;)

I dont think its necessary rn. I’d love for the mentors to mass claim (lol) their mentees after the game or in here but i think it sometimes disrupts the game when people mention “i think its worthy of note that so and so is mentoring so and so,” which ive seen happen in past games

I feel like I remember at least one person bringing up that Sophia was my mentor in GoT, yeah, so there is some weird meta stuff that people will try to engage in there. I feel like it doesn't quite get encompassed in the "don't talk about player activity outside the game thread" rule, but it feels similar enough that it might be worth bringing up in a review thread yeah.

I'll tell you guys one thing, the next game I play in, I'm gunna bust some heads on D1.

I'm sick of this new meta around here where we putz about on D1 and refuse to give any confident reads and constantly talk about how it's D1 and we have nothing to go off of and no one knows anything and everyone's reads are bad and everyone is just being NAI.

I am going to give the sickest D1 reads in the world in my next game! I am going to confidently declare that people are either Town or Scum and vote accordingly. I am going to force everyone to give me reads on every player in the game. I will make them publicly agree or disagree with my reads at the very least. I will put the sickest meta reads on people, I will be outraged over the most inconsequential shit, I will force people to actually play this fucking game on D1 for the first time in a year, mark my words!

The old Fanto is back, baby!

Good idea. Would you get rid of the post minimum you think or just decrease it? The one concern about making the day shorter that I was pondering is the time zone differences and how maybe a few players wont get as much play time on D1 as others might

I don't think I'd lower the post cap, but I'd probably instead make it a weird phase, like 36 hours instead of 48 or something, to account for time zones. Then then only hassle is for me.

Just an idea I'm toying with, tho.

We could go wild and do 12 hours with a 5 post minimum! But that would be rough for some. We'd have to say it at signups.

One game at a time is limiting in some ways, but if this was a mini and there were two minis running, it's doable.

I'd be down for an experiment like this. It would be interesting to see if such a short day phase would actually encourage people to post more, regardless of the 5 post minimum

I'd be interested in seeing a shortened D1 as an experiment for sure. I know for myself, the next time I run a game with less than 15 players in it, like my Knives Out game for example, I'm going to make it a 24/24 phase game. In my experience, small player counts and 48 hour day phases do not mix well together.

I'm so bewildered at the events of day one.

Bewildered and confused at how a omgus vote from pancakes herself lead to my lunch. Considered me tilted at how a bunch of fluff stuff eventually lead to a majority of town voting for my lunch. My god it was a vote to do something and it backfired so hard I got lunched on day one.

Somehow the meta shifted to something I had never seen before. I'm tilted at the moment. It was a prod vote initially but I kept not only to make pancakes do literally anything worth noting. I kept it there as retaliation for scum speculation

Why did meta change on low activity user policy lunches?

Im not sure if a meta changed but from a game runners point of view, i can tell you that Mafia played that day smart.
