MAFIA ITEM STORE

$500 - Lesser Potion: Use the command Share Lesser Potion With: <Player Name> at night to have your target's alignment show the opposite in any investigations. (Town -> Not Town | Not Town -> Town) You can only use this command once.

$1000 - Greater Potion: Use the command Share Greater Potion With: <Player Name> at night to hypnotize your target into saying the name of their role the next day. You can only use this command once.

$1500 - Cursed Amulet: Use the command Curse: <Player A>, <Player B> at night to cause any actions performed by Player A to instead be performed by Player B, and vice versa. You can only use this command once.

$2000 - Couch: Use the command Sit On The Couch And Watch: <Player Name> at night to learn who visited your target that night, but not what actions they performed. You can only use this command once.

$2500 - Statue of Link: Use the command Link, Steal From: <Player Name> at night to steal one unused Item from that player, if they have one. You can only use this command once.

$4000 - Hyper Strike: Use the command Hyper Strike: <Player Name> at night in place of the normal faction kill to cause your target to leave no Role PM behind when they die. You can only use this command once.

$5000 - Note Card: Use the command Write: <PM> at night to compose a fabricated Role PM for you to flip with if you die. Your alignment will still show as Mafia, but the Flavor and Role can say whatever you want. You can only use this command once.

You are an Easy Update Host and are aligned with the CHIM (Mafia).

Once per game, you may submit the command Easy Update in the Mafia thread to trigger the Easy Update event. If another event is scheduled, Easy Update will push it back one day and take its place.

Easy Update has many different effects on the game:
1. Shuts down the Item Store for the day.
2. The 4 players with the highest post counts will be put into a Thunderdome (Kill Your Babies).
3. Random posting limitations, called "Torture Chambers" will take place throughout the day. Things like word counts, images, or other posting restrictions.
4. All votes must be accompanied with a rhyme including that player's name. (Example: Roses are red, violets are blue, I'm voting for Dr. Monkey, and so should you). All rhymes must be unique (can't steal another player's rhyme or the example rhyme). Any vote without an accompanying rhyme will not be officially counted.
5. A player may only be voted out with a majority vote, and the day will not end until it happens.

In addition, you are also a Ninja. You can submit the command Ninja: <Player Name> instead of the normal Mafia faction kill to remain unseen while performing the kill.

At night, you may submit the command Shady Deal: <Item Name> to place one of your fake items into the item store the following day. If a player purchases the item, you will receive the Don Bucks they spent on it.

So I propose a game of Poptarts and Toaster strudels: basically post one thing you bring to the table which you think gives us an advantage (poptart) and one thing which slightly worries you (toaster strudel).

My poptart would be: I think I'll be able to try and provide cover for sparks fairly safely, in past games I've mentioned being good at reading him and I even provided my criteria publicly in conspiracy 2. I doubt there'd be much backlash on me or sparks if one of us flips because hey it's sparks.

Spoiler: Meta on sparks

Currently my technique for reading Sparks is trying to see how much he's paying attention to that entire game, rather than individual arguments because his are often hard to interpret. I find that TownSparks pays decent attention to the game (in his own way) while ScumSparks tends to get bewildred by the fact that he hasn't been lunched yet and just tries to keep it that way.

HoH is a decent example of this, TownSparks thought something was off in my first post of the game (it was actually a very niche breadcrumb) and he was the only one to smell something was off. I don't think the ScumSparks I saw in LiS was able to make observations like that.

My Toaster strudel would be: This is my first time playing as mafia in a forum game so I don't think I'm quite prepared, there are also unfortunately quite a lot of decent players (Stu, wee, chuggs and maol for example) who have played a large number of games with me and might be able to tell something is off. If I actually achieve being more active this game though that will shift my meta enough where this won't be a massive problem.

Poptart: This is hard because it's so much easier for me to decide what I mess up as opposed to what I do good. I do think I am OK at finding minor things with the way someone is talking that I can turn into a talking point at least. It usually hasn't worked out great as a townie (only 1 for 3 on my early targets) but maybe if I am a bit more careful I can put some early attention onto someone we would like out.

Toaster strudel: I have a tendency on tunneling onto someone early one and while I can usually make a convincing case (at least as convincing as a D1 or D2 gut feel can really be) from that it has left me wide open for counterattacks and have been lunched on D3 the last two games because of that. I was already going to be pulling back on that a bit and trying to play a more lowkey game to try to avoid that happening again, had intended to do that in Horror but got sucked in. I did plant some unintentional seeds by mentioning in spec that about how I intended to change but I am worried that if I do lay back too much it will seem a bit off. Going to have to find that line between the two this time.

I do notice that LP seems to have a post doubler role which would be more interesting on a higher poster. I wonder if that's it or if he has other abilities. Anyone else notice any crumbs from anyone?

Easy Allies Patreon Donator aligned with the easy allies (town)
-At the end of each day phase pay an amount of $ to gain minor perks (backer rewards)
--In the night can choose to up my pledge, more $ for better perks
-Become vanilla(?) if I ever can't pay my backer tier

I think fat will eventually come into lunch territory, kyan might have people on him so I'm a bit scared of that given our position. Rac probably works (he can quickly gather up town reads) but I've also been thinking about LP, max chaos and paranoia.

Just to avoid any needless speculation, if there was a spot where the count was doubled in one of my posts, it was accidental and likely based on the vote tool being buggy.
