Well if town is thinking, then they should still want to kill scum. Because a cult might recruit them, but scum can’t.

Otoh i wouldn’t reread any part of this game. Day 1 was longer than my entire first game lol.

I really don’t get not lynching Sorian. Does town think this game has 2 separate neutrals and a cult plus the scum and town teams? You need to lynch one of them and Sorian seems the clear choice for most likely cult here

I think everyone not cult will come to terms with fireblend telling the truth

They just need time to digest all this

I think only kyan, ceecee and blarg haven't posted, after they don't counterclaim the vig shot, their will conclude fireblends plays makes perfect sense as not cult, not scum (why not shot Confirmed Town?) and not town, so the only reasonable answer is that he tells the truth

Sorian can convince you it's night time in the middle of the day. You wouldn't even know he was lying until hours later you notice your wallet is missing and you were actually inside the whole time.

It would need to involve Town Hookers actually being a thing.

And maybe a Neutral that can put lovers together for a day phase. (and the win con is, they must successfully kill two pairs of lovers). So lovers put together for a day, if one gets lynched, both die.

Then next day, new lover pair, if they get lynched, both die and the neutral wins!

Honestly if I was in the game as town, I'd want to keep him alive until we either get scum or get a cultist or two out. Mainly to keep numbers up until Town were in a better position.

But the rationalization about Febe is just lol. His shot is LITERALLY the only reason they know about the cultists now.

From a spectator's point of view though, this day is hilarious.

This actually just gave me a really incredible idea to use in an upcoming game I'm working on.

(Yes, it's another MafiEra game.)

Also, Sorian made an error claiming that Grizzly told him neutrals can't be recruited. I'm pretty sure Grizz wouldn't give that information to anyone but the cult.

Let's see if Town runs with it. Monkey asked Grizz to confirm the info. If Grizzly doesn't confirm it, they'd better drop the hammer on him.

Town is lost right now and I don't see them coming back from this. It's going to be real rough when cult gets another recruit tonight because they don't really have to shift how they're playing at all. Depending on how today shakes out, I feel like tomorrow is going to be the scum and cult teams just trying to convince town to vote for a member of the other team and whoever pulls that off is probably going to be the team that ends up winning. I just hope they let Febe win at this point.

The frustrating thing is that people seem to be getting pieces of the picture right, but can't make them fit. The longer it takes to work it out between them, the more wedges the cult are going to drive in.

Also this is so fucking true.

Since joining the community, I see people push the dumbest 'scumslips' (many of which turn out to be a townie messing up or something similar) but when something is this fucking obvious.

"Nah. I'd rather focus on someone else. Like Febe. Or Melon"

Monkey did a huge scumslip this game though when Sorian got outed by absolutbro. Her first reaction was “Are you neutral?”, which is suspect af considering she just got lied to. Only Brazil seemed to notice and she went on with huge posts explaining it :lol

But yeah, people love to come up with scum slips that don’t exist.

yeah, if Sorian is claiming that piece of info he received from Grizz is general knowledge, Grizz should tell all the others when asked about it in the main thread. If he's not saying that, it's because it's not general knowledge at all and it's something related to your own role.

Lie all you want about your role, but it's not a good idea to make the gamerunner complicit in your lies since they have to be fair to everybody.

It doesn't look like they will lynch cult, so tonight there will be 3 cultist + their new recruit(unless they target scum)

So out of 8 not scum players at night, scum has same chances of hitting cult than hitting town/fireblend

Today town is lynched, 11 players left at night
-Scum NKs cult - > D8: 3 town, 1 Fireblend, 3 cult, 3 scum
-Scum NKs not cult -> D8: (2 town 1 FB or 3 town no FB), 4 cult, 3 scum


This is a mess

This is the thing about Sorian.
If he's scum, he's nigh-unstoppable. In this case you need to kill him early so he doesn't dominate the game.
If he's town, he's still INCREDIBLY persuasive, so he can throw town entirely off track in an instant if he gets it in his head that someone is scum. So the best thing is to kill him early so he can't do that.

What I'm saying is you need to kill Sorian.

*Side note: I've been accused in the past of hating Sorian, and that's totally not the case. Sorian's a solid dude. But he's kind of like a forest fire. If he can't be controlled, he needs to be put out.
