Ok, so there are 8 players left.

Splinter, Kalor, Turmoil, WSD, and GoG all either have Town PR claims or have been green checked by Cop Splinter, or in Turmoil's case, both.

This leaves them with: Saenima, BronsonLee, Stuart.

The question is: Do they want to go for their sick scum reads on the newbies, or do they want to just take out this supposed "Neutral Survivor" first?

I would think the answer is obvious, but I'm certainly not going to pretend like I would immediately be making the correct decision here if I were playing. However, it would make a lot of sense to me to go for the claimed Neutral first in this scenario on the off chance that they are Scum and are lying, because they sure as hell aren't Town. If they do wind up being Neutral, then Town can resume the Scum Hunt the next day, while also not worrying about the Survivor being there to help Scum hammer home a win.

You would want to waste Stuart when you still have space to as a claimed neutral. The only people you want in endgame are those that claim they are town, because you all (theoretically) have the same goal.

There's nothing stopping Stuart changing his play based on the faction that has the better chance of winning. We've seen it so many times in this community.

As for the discussion above, yeah, the math should be telling them that Stu needs to go today if they want to prevent him from being the kingmaker. Otherwise the numbers are just going to get worse, until finally they realize "Oh, wait, the Neutral is now on Scum's side. Fuck."

Also, Survivor is such a fake claim! It was the first fake claim I ever saw in a Mafia game! Come on! Lol.

Even from town's pov, Stuart has been acting strange/nervous and posting stuff unprompted, like the neutral claim and the "See? They're trying to frame me!".

You could at least try to keep a low profile or, as someone said above, just stop posting. Right now it seems like he feels so close to winning that he can't avoid to overreact to anything that gets in his way. I mean...

Stu has a habit (as town) of making assumptions and trying to get ahead of them.

Also has a habit of responding to everyone even if it's ill-advised.

Probably. The endgame stress is real. By the end you're just willing to look for quick, easy answers instead of fully reinvestigating.

It's about 5x worse as scum when you're paranoid everything you say will catch you out.

Yep, in fact most of the time if someone claims survivor you should probably not trust said "survivor" or those that seem all too eager to let them live.

A rough lesson to learn, but a good one. If someone is suddenly fully trusting in you being Town, it could very well be because they already know your alignment. Only Scum can say for sure whether or not someone is Scum, a Neutral would not have that info.
