The GREATER POTION ($1,000) forces someone to say their Role-name; but, we have to buy/use it Tonight on somebody and they'll have to say it Tomorrow morning
We could invent a bit of a cover Role-claim here; either me or Mr. Hedin have enough $$$ to buy the G. POTION, but there's only 1 so only 1 of us can use this fake-claim
However, possible hiccup if Mr. Hedin tries it; Mr. Hedin, flavour-wise, is RAINY DAY IAN... unfortunately I do not watch these Easy Allies myself, but for those Town who do... we as scum DON'T have fake name-claims to use this game, and I think it's too risky / I'm too uninformed (unless one of you's watches Easy Allies and knows the lore??) to create/pick a fake character for ourselves...
So, that means if it comes to the point in-game where we must all mass name-claim; we're all gonna have to likely ANNOUNCE ourselves as our current Easy Allies' characters' names:
Me as "Ultima Brad"
Hedin as "Rainy Day Ian"
Vere as "Cold-Blooded"
and if someone like Fat4All who apparently knows all the EA lore, sees "RAINY DAY IAN" and I imagine there's a lore connection to EASY UPDATE (Hedin's Thunderdome) and that'll be like a 1+1=2 moment for them and so Mr. Hedin will instantly be flavour-lunched as the EASY UPDATE HOST = SCUM... maybe. And I'm afraid because of that, even if you try the G. POTION COVER Hedin, you might be lunched anyway because of that flavour association?
oh and just to clarify, the
G. POTION PLAN:
- Buy the G. POTION Tonight,
- Use it on... someone Tonight (ideally we use it on somebody who's been super-shady like turms or Maol or someone??)
- And when that person's Role-name is mod-announced Tomorrow Morning; take credit for the Role-name flip and say it's your Town Power which takes a certain amount of money to unlock and use BUT don't divulge how much.
- boom that's a verified Role-claim for one of us
I think the G. POTION is a good possible cover story for one of us, but... should it be for me or you Hedin?
I already have my Godfather card but it relies on being checked by ATP and him announcing that green, yet I've been scummy/non-contributive enough to be called out and lunched for being worthless
For you, I'm worried you'll be the next immediate lunch now after Sparks, so if you do the G. POTION PLAN for yourself Tonight, that's a real solid, good cover story going into tmow (but who'll you target with it?), which may even save you for the rest of the game. The only danger of you using it as that if you Role-claim and take credit for the Role-name reveal, you'll undoubtedly have to name-claim as well as RAINY DAY IAN which may cause an EASY UPDATE scandal from the flavour-conscious Town against you?
So in gist, either we reinforce me on top of my Godfather; or we save you with a solid fake Role-claim to fall back on, but a possible flavour vulnerability of RAINY DAY IAN = EASY UPDATE = THUNDERDOME = SCUM POWER = HEDIN'S SCUM once you name-claim
IMO even after saying all this I think you should be the one to do this G. POTION PLAN Tonight. Because we'll likely all have to name-claim eventually and at least I got my Godfather-ness
so you should buy the G. POTION right now
and pick a target
I'll brainstorm and come back later about who, but it should be someone juicy that Town's been bugged about. turms? Maybe even our own Vere? dunno
