That’s pretty much nail on the head. I waited until it was at the point where a LP self-preservation vote would doom me, as Rando correctly pointed out.
IMO to claim that role was pretty much going to neuter it, and people went on to just reaffirm their convictions and cast doubt based on mechanics, just like last game (I wrongly called it flavor instead of mechanics when I pointed out to Chuggs).
People seem to get the impression that I was trying to leverage people by saying I was a good player or important role, but I made sure to not state any of that. Others seemed to think that I was suggesting that I’m trying to teach town a lesson by being more careful about voting town D1. That’s unavoidable. All I was trying to establish is that my play style is consistent with last game where I was town too. Me being voted for my standard play style is going to wear on me, be a detriment to town, and if I ever do roll scum, they’re going to absolutely hate me, LOL.

Haha. I did have a little fun with the four requests proffer. I was half hoping people would think it’s a role mechanic and get spooked. I was elated when some bit on the fake role retraction.
If I had more time to plan it instead of off the cuff, riddles or math word problems would have been fun.

I’m still trying to understand the dynamics of getting out of SR and whether a claim can save you. So far, claims seem to favor lower activity players or those who claim before any suspicion (which is counter-intuitive to why you’d claim). From the games I’ve run or played elsewhere, a claim almost always gets you a 1 day pass.

It depends. Like in Star Trek, a doctor claim definitely made people pull back last minute, and I've seen cop claims and fake cop claims let people live days who otherwise shouldn't have lived hours. So it works, just that your PR needs to be, in town's opinion*, important enough to let live.
So every game monkey is scum she is way more hostile than when she is town, at least in my experience, mgs, Scooby doo 2 and here she's borderline nasty, town monkey can be tough but always fair.

Haw and LP have terrible votes on chuggs that just feel scummy and low-effort. c4 i want to believe is town but at this stage it's a shrug.

it'll come to light when the flip gets posted but i was planning on tracking HP tonight to confirm who he kills. the vagueness in my last post was purposeful to try and bait something to me in the hopes that it got scum to think i was a cop or something else weird.
however i got a message at the start of the phase that read, " A commanding voice has told you to using your tracking shot on NEKI. If you do not target NEKI with your tracking shot and try another other move you will be roleblocked." so...couldn't do that. it even knocked out my self-protect but i wasnt planning to use it tonight anyway since i really didnt think i'd be killed lol. still, it's an interesting power and it makes me wonder who has it and why they used it. scum absolutely but im not sure which team.
