Can we have some flavor for the fake claims? How does it work here?

I provided the shell of a PM in the thread that you can base your fake claims around, should the need arise. For that purpose one name was given that does not appear in the game.
Little Bill and Little Ted are the names of Bill & Ted's two sons that are mentioned briefly in the opening flavor.

I provided you three fake claims as a whole, see the opening post of this thread. You can use them however you want.

There is no way there is another faction with 3 members in it, most likely scenario there is a 3rd party we need to deal with.

Okay, so a third faction is involved. I was expecting something like three of us, a neutral, and 9 town.

Probably shouldn't matter too much for us, unless they have killing powers, too.

Believing the recruitment is real, I'd say that CoolestSpot might have a power role?

If I were vanilla town, I'd probably accept an invitation just to make the game more interesting to myself.

Could have gotten an invite to a chat. On the other hand, day 0 is weird. Especially in a tiny game.

On the other other hand, a recruiter would get denied by hitting scum, yeah? So, like, could double as a cop?

I think he's just been in one game before this one. I didn't pay much attention to Berserk to get a read on him, though.

Funny how Turmoil was spot on with his reads. I wouldnt worry too much about what happens day 1 though. Especially coming from Cspot.

Gotta say the same for myself. If either of you think I may be slipping up, let me know. Once we're past the early game pleasantries I'll come here before trying anything funny, lol.

I'm glad I checked the thread again before posting. I was literally about to call CoolestSpot out for disappearing for almost a whole 24 after how active he was before then, lol.

Yeah, I think we should be good. Right now there's still enough of a vote spread that things could go anywhere.

I'm at work, but so far I've been able to keep up with the fame pretty well, and at day end things get pretty slow where I'm at.

I think i will end up going after turmoil but it depends on how the responses go.

Anyway i've committed myself to more analysis. It does seem to be helping people to see me in a good way. And this game has some easy targets from my view.

Yeah, I kind of feel like Masons might already be out there.

If anything, night 0 message could have just been a masons chat with CoolestSpot being confused and thinking it's another faction.

Him being masons with Nicole could explain him declining an invite.

That was a fun day end, lol. I would have jumped to ex to avoid a tie if need be, I just couldn't think of a good way to explain it in time. I'm glad things worked out how they did.

I'm definitely claiming mason when the time comes, just saying. I was afraid of a last min pileup and breadcrumbed power.
Splinter is a good kill choice but also an obvious protect choice.

I didn't pick up on anything that could hint at power roles, do you think turmoil7 would be a good pick?

So far he is one of the people defending me, so it might be worth to keep him around for now.

I'd be good with blocking turmoil.

Swamped might be a good NK target. Her vote was on Geno at the end, but he's going to be a topic of discussion tomorrow anyway.

I was wondering if Castamere might be a good choice? He said so little that his death wouldn't really give much to talk about. Plus, he was for the CoolestSpot lynch.

I'd be good for either of those options, though.

I don't know how well castamere plays, but it's difficult to fool swamped.

On day one my tendency is to go for players who i don't want running against me lol.

You're right, I can't remember if I've ever played with Castamere, but Swamped has always been a strong player.

The only difference between masons and lovers is that lovers die when the other does, I'm assuming.

Keep that in mind if you still want to try that claim.

Claiming mason is RIGHT OUT.

No way a 13 player game has masons AND lovers, seriously. Unless this some kind of hidden-pairs theming. And you can't claim mason without implicating one of us.

Just pass it off as lovers hating on you, geno, and joining together as one person. You didn't move last night, and the alignment cop is dead, so no motion detecting roles can out you. Just claim ordinary.

Also since the reference to pretending to be Little Ted in my role wasn't a declaration of which fake claim I should use, I'd quite like to be Shakespeare.

Just go in on turmoil's arguments. He may be technically correct, but his logic has holes to tackle.

Like with 2 people not even voting, they could be scum and nobody on the bubble was scum, so scum just stayed out of it.

Or the fact that attacking the people voting you would just draw attention to you and it's a target-rich environment on day one.

I know weem don't worry, although I won't claim vanilla. I need to claim something to make them believe me to stall and live 1 more night. Vanilla won't do the trick.

If you claim something that's a real role in this game, you'll put yourself in more danger.

Watcher and doctor are the most valuable at this point, unless you want to try for role cop.

Ynnek, are you unlimited or do you have only a few shots?

Just double checked my role pm, and it looks to be unlimited.

I'll go for something that's not super common but not super uncommon either, that's a last resort, if I get unlucky I got unlucky.

If town roles are limited, and you're not, that could indicate some more quite valuable roles are out there.

I'm trying to distract the conversation by being me. When I work at it I can be pretty distracting.

Oh yeah, I can definitely see the pros to not having a third faction for us. My biggest issue playing scum, though, is not being good at pretending to scum hunt. With a third faction out there I could still be trying to "solve a mystery" and look good, lol.

I'm thinking about it, although I don't know what the roleblock rules are. Usually on Gfaqs the roleblocked person isn't notified that they got roleblocked. Is it the same here? Because I want to say Turmoil visited Splinter. If it's true at the very least I gain Turmoil's trust, but also throw shade at him because Splinter is dead.

I think that depends on the gamerunner, whether they reveal that info or not.

Maybe it's too risky, with the mason plan shot down I'm clueless as to what I should claim.

Another option is to say fuck it and claim doctor in order to draw out the real one.

CoolestSpot did say "what's up docs" earlier, it would be hilarious if you do that and bait him out as the real doc, lol. Not sure what the best move is, really.

I've thought of universal backup, saying I became a cop. But I'm not sure if the characters we have make sense to be that role.

I gotta head out now. If things don't change before my break, I might make a post about being fine with your lynch if we can't do CoolestSpot, since I had you down as an iffy read anyway. You flipping scum would lead credence to CS being scum if everyone else believes the same as Nicole, so we'd get him Day 3 at least.

I'm still feeling there could be a neutral survivor (or some other condition) out there, but I'm gonna drop it in thread.
