Reading everything you have there, and what I posted last page also, the one big word that just keeps flashing in my head for Beluga is "slippery." They're vague and indecisive in all the right places. They have a smokescreen in case someone calls them out for a vote, a read, etc. The Kayak thing you pointed out is interesting too and one of my reads is that a Whale that wants to stay in smoke doesn't want to anger a Kayak who is fine being aggressive. Makes it very hard to stay passive and vague when you have Kayak on your ass. Which would speak to a town Kayak if Whale is scum...? Maaaaybe?

Gonna go quiet in game thread a bit and see how people respond. Since we're so town read, scum is going to use our reads to figure out which Jenga pieces are loose enough to be pushed out. I'm praying we're making it hard for them by saying we won't go for Lifeboat or Yacht. If we're accurate in our reads.

You're the captain. I like talking with you, whom I trust, more than game thread. There's a reason we're consistently town read, and I get the sense a large part is because of work we put into this chat. But maybe I'm wrong and others have 20 pages. Lol. I understand Sub frustration. If they are town or even scum, they need our initial thoughts and ponderings to help strengten a good town read....or manipulate a bad one. But we didn't say we wouldn't share thoughts, and we can't quote from here so....yeah.

And yeah I've been enjoying this chat quite a lot. I'm gonna be sad next time we both play in a game together and we don't have this resource. It's been my favorite part of this game.

Hmmm. Feel like we already went over Beluga pretty well unless you want to look over them again.

I'd say probably Kayak, Gondola, or some of Sub. I'm more apt to vote Beluga or Kayak today to get the most information so it's just narrowing that down. Gondola/Sub can technically wait until tomorrow (if we're still in this hell game).

So I'd say it's picking it a vote. Where does your gut say we should go?

I'm just trying to think.

If we go for Kayak and they flip Scum it could mean Beluga/Gondola/Sub are still on the table.
If Kayak flips Town I'd argue it means more likely Beluga.

If we go for Beluga and they flip Scum that means it's NOT Sub.
If we go for Beluga and they flip Town that means it's possibly Sub and Gondola. Not sure what this means for Kayak.

Kayak never made it back to thread to post after Cruise claimed....Blah. Beluga was mostly, "Holy crap" and seemed to believe it, but weirdly enough towards end was like, "I wanna hear more from Cruise" when there was nothing else to be said.

They were going hard on Lifeboat on D3 before Duck saved them. We were too to be fair but it was the most I ever saw out of Beluga.

I am a bit piqued by the point Beluga brought up. Why vote the same way as someone you know is scum especially on a close vote. And also that Beluga was pretty quick on that like they spent the night phase trying to work out what the criteria for the real doc is. Because they already knew Houseboat was fake.

The point of claiming doc is not just to survive but to test who is the real doc or if there even is a doctor out there so you can kill a strong PR in the night phase.

If there is a real doc the fake claim already put you on a time limit. Better to get the real doctor before a counter claim happens and before a doctor has a chance of saving someone.

So if you were looking for the doctor during the night you would have checked. Like Cruise Ship voting with Houseboat - probably not doctor. And had that info to hand you would be immediately skeptical of Houseboat claiming doc and you think it may just be a gambit when the day phase is a bit dead.

Yeah, they had some back-and-forth. I COMPLETELY missed it that Cruise Ship specifically stated they counter-claimed because of Lifeboat's 2-shot comment. They saw it as a slip paired with Houseboat, who they knew was scum. So I was going to ask if anyone followed up D3 with a Lifeboat scum read.

Yeah!! Either they are unfortunate Town who listened to us (never do that) or Scum taking advantage. Which, again, it was the strongest they ever came out against someone. HB was the other and that was after the claim.

Actually, if I reverse my tinfoil---Gondola says Lifeboat was their top scum the day Rubber Duck revealed green check. They don't say why at this time, but we now know why---the saw motion there. They must've thought they made the kill? So I think we can say with certainty Gondola is a Tracker/Motion Detector of some kind. If they are scum, they would have known Rubber Duck green checked Lifeboat. If you were scum and saw that green check occur, would you waste a big post scum reading Lifeboat knowing it was going to get shit on?

Unless it's a scum motion detector. They know movement happened but not what kind of movement. So they know something happened and lined it up to give their claim credence.

Well, I don't know if they would have seen Rubber Duck specifically, but the point is this---if the doctor is dead, they could make a safe bet is was probably a cop check. There are other possibilities, but with the heat Lifeboat was already getting prior to day, plus dead doc---I think that would be a safe scum assumption. So, if you are scum and saw Lifeboat get a visit/have motion of some kind.....

There are still variables to it, and I can fill out where I could be wrong with the above. But I like the theory for now. Will have to more seriously consider it tomorrow if we don't die tonight.

Very well done. I popped in quick this morning and take it as a good sign Beluga didn't get piled on. If town, surely scum would be all over that? Unless they didn't lay out groundwork for Beluga and us not going Yacht is going to screw them.

Yeah I'm glad it got cut early so people could walk away.

Beluga didn't seem interested in saving themselves either with the self vote comment and lack of big defense. Even if kayak made a good case I don't think anyone could've listened.
