I'm feeling like, if Kyan continues his low amount of reads/high amount of mechanics speculation, he's a good target to start a lynch train on. Something to keep an eye on it.

On the other hand, I don't actually want to call him out on it right now because that could draw his attention to it and make him consciously change.

My defense to it (and this was entirely my thought process and probably wouldn't change if I was town):

I was thinking he was town because who would make themselves seem scumish on purpose unless that was his plan. Look scumish in a very obvious way making him seem town to others.

Hmm... in regards to your answer I wouldn't worry much. Just give an honest answer, and it doesn't hurt to admit if your "logic" is faulty. You have the advantage of being new, so some players will give you leeway that others won't.

The mechanic discussions is just because that was where the conversation was at at the time. It's also been pretty quiet earlier today so I thought making a joke post or comment wouldn't be too bad.

I was also just trying to wait and see what other people post before doing a read on people but when asked, I responded with where my head was at at the time.

Yeah, that's to be expected to some degree as you're new. A lot of it's just a learning process. This is actually a bit of a learning process for me too, as this is my second game as scum and my first game... uh... didn't go well, to put it mildly. :P

Funny thing is. Nicole's post there is actually helpful in me trying to learn the game/get used to posting.

I'm tempted to say that my 'reaching' statement isn't pulled out of thin air as I had been thinking about it for a while and just didn't bring it up until now but now that she's moved on, I feel it's better for me to let it go for now.

The hard part for me is, I'm not sure what to read as scum/town outside of low activity = scum reads. And I've already been called out on that. So any reasoning I might use may be turned on me as it was earlier.

I know it's difficult, especially on first game with no experience as town. Maybe you can consult a little with your mentor? I'm bit scared to give direct advice, so it doesn't look like to others that your scummates are helping you.

I think the post is fine - you can in theory hide behind the idea of inexperienced town a lot, just don't actively use it as an excuse in the thread.

See, that really makes me want to shoot her, because usually when an aggressive player goes non-aggressive like that it means they have a power role or something to hide.

However, I'm also wary about this same train of thought, because I don't know if she's like Sorian and would potentially change up her playing style to draw out a night kill.
