I'm bringing back the SALTY BETS. Now with a Mario theme!
Here is how it works! We all start with 50 golden coins:
Ooooh shiny!
And you can bet them on ANYTHING you want related to this game! (As long as I allow it by quoting it and saying is valid)
Bet example (In green)
BUT! This time you can bet with other spectators. That's right! You can take money from them! All you have to do is quote bet you want to bet against with the phrase "I'll take that bet" (In blue)
At the end of the Day or Night phase I'll round-up all bets and myself make a decision on who won the bet.
If a player bets and no one takes the bet, and you are right, your bet money is just doubled. If you are wrong, you just lost that money.
To play all you have to do is quote me!
(Also I hope the game runners don't mind me doing this, I just figured it was a short game and hey, it might lead to some fun spectating).

Not gonna lie, I had that coming. Regardless of who's who, I played atrociously, even by my D1 standards. As usual, I drew a total blank, so I went with the only choice that I had any conviction for, but I could tell I was flogging a dead horse by the end.
If it hadn't been for my reply to Vere, that was going to be my parting post before time ran out.

Eh, I still blame Town for limping into it, I don't think you were playing that bad, they were just too afraid to rock the boat and question why they wanted to vote for you outside of "his read list!!" as far as I could tell. There were plenty of other worthwhile votes.

Been busy for the past day. Why is Alexem dead? He was painfully town in the first few hours of the game.
He is one of my scum reads. Not from amount of posts but I see him being a bit coasty and happy to go with the flow. And scum are unlikely to be top poster in any game.

It does seem to follow the 'wait for a townie to vote then back it' approach if that's the case. Given the flack that was coming my way, I didn't think I'd be able to get away with pushing against Brazil's vote without it getting shot down as OMGUS. By the end I had nothing to lose, though - I knew way ahead of EoD that my head was going to be on the block so, given the likelihood of a town lunch on D1 (especially given my expectation of there being two scum players), I figured it was better to let the mis-lunch happen than risk losing a PR. (Incidentally, I did wonder if anyone would pick up on my earlier mention of considering myself expendable and figure out that I was vanilla.)

So, everyone that participated in the previous phase gets an extra 10 coins this phase, that way everyone that lost all their coins can keep playing, and there is an incentive to bet on every phase! Every phase you participate you get 10 coins just for taking part!

Bets for the Night phase are open! You can bet on who gets killed N1, who will make the first post on Day 2, who will make the first vote on Day 2, stuff like that, anything I feel like it can be valid will be valid!

They could have gone for Maol on the 'well, town won't learn much more from losing those two' basis. Z-Beat could be a candidate if they wanted to take out one of D1's less active players - likewise Uzzy if she's town, though it might be a bit mean-spirited to boot her on N1 of her first game with us... although part of the point of being scum's to be mean spirited!

As he's not arrived for D2, yet, I'll bet twenty coins that CoolestSpot will NOT attempt a gambit today.
Normally I'd expect one from him in the first couple of days, but something felt... different to me about him yesterday. I know there were some comments about him being erratic, but to me he seemed a little more reserved than I'd expect.

If you are reversing the roles and making the heroes scum you should have gave me a fake claim too. In the case that I need to roleclaim I'm dead if I claim Peach. Now it doesn't matter because I'm dead but it could help for a future game.

They don't have fake flavor or role claims, and all the Vanillas are Goombas, as per the sample Role PM and Alexem's flip, so that would have been safe for you to claim in the event you needed to.

I always saw that as being a good sign for Coolest, to be honest... but I suspect he's latched on to that meta by now. Consider my choice of bet to be out of curiosity on that front.

They have some use but mostly for refuting accusations of bad vote switches. Being able to give context for why you switched votes at a certain point in time is good info. Maybe the train you were on failed, maybe other people had moved, maybe you didn't like people you were voting with. Having a bit more detail available can help.
