If it seems like they're going down the chain to me after Aeleus dies, I can do the old plan of claiming and not saying whether or not there are others in the cult. I'll say that the win con change wasn't us. Then I can tell them that the recruit failed on Brazil.

Since the dousing didn't do anything, you can just play it off like it was trying to suss out reactions (likely true from nin's perspective).

I think we may even need to tag team this. I think it's hail mary or nothing. We tell everything as it is, except that our win con didn't change.

I am a member of the cult of Baby Vegeta. Salva recruited nin before I entered the game.

Our win con did not change, but obviously we haven't achieved it yet.

Why didn't I come forward earlier? You won't believe how many times I've asked myself that question. I see now that that would have been the optimal play. I really like to play it safe in mafia games, ever since my first game, Transistor, when my team won as mafia by basically not using any of our powers. I'm very hesitant to take big moves like revealing onesself as a cult. Especially coming in as a later replacement, I was still trying to get caught up. I dithered and considered for t0o long, and then after that message about win cons changing was posted, I realized people thought that it might apply to my cult. By then it was too late to come forward.

I do not have any killing powers. Last night I tried to recruit Brazil and the recruitment failed. Brazil didn't claim any protective actions. The only conclusion I can come to is that the Cult of Kosmos is real and Brazil is in it.

That's really putting it all on the line. Do you think it'll be more believable that way, enough to be worth it?

I don't know, honestly. I'm at my wit's end, but we're not going to win with the path we're on here. We need to appeal to town - Terra, Jman, Zipped.

We can do that w/o you claiming though, actually. IMO let me claim -- if they believe me and work with me, great. If they kill me, at least the "we can't trust pms & there's only one cult" theory is disproven.

I'll even say that in my claim. That'll be enough to put us on the right track. IDK, if you really want us both to claim I'll go for it though, we should agree on the plan before doing anything, and I feel like I got us into this terrible position.

We made mistakes but I think we did the best we could under the circumstances. We would be in a stronger position right now if even one of those recruit shots had gone through.

On the other hand, maybe it is time to claim. It would cut through the Gordian knot of this endless torturous discussion. I would have to admit that recruitment is transcontinental, in order to make the claim about Brazil, but honestly that might be good for us at this point.

Vere and Muffin got treated ok after they claimed.

There's really no response to the arguments about what would/wouldn't have been revealed when. We're just talking in circles and getting mad at each other.

The question is, who are the swing votes going to land on? The pool of the two neutrals, Jman, and Zipped. Outside of them, we can see that Terra is with us, Brazil and Chuggernaut are probably Kosmos, and Sorian and Natiko are not going to be talked around. Wee doesn't have a vote. IMO once we see where those four swing votes are headed we'll know if it's time for me to claim. I'm going to try to wait until at least one or two of them asserts a position.

lmao it's all good. I just hope this works out. To come this far and fall because of another cult just being way louder than us sucks.

Well Launchpad, it seems it's the second time I'll leave you alone as the only surviving member of our faction on the Risk board. I don't know if you can pull it off this time with the situation I've left you in, but there's always hope! Especially hope that everybody will pull together and take down Davros.

Geno, thank you for making this game. I had a wonderful time.
