Sad I'm dead though. I felt we were in a great spot and could've won this with no scum deaths but that got blown up. Think the remaining team has a chance but they will likely lose one more before then. Still, I think we got this.

I find in general long posts are more a town than scum thing, but what you really want to look for is content. If you read a long posts and it's just a summary with no real reads then that's probably a red flag. If you read a long posts and there's reads and work being put in, that's probably town. This can be faked, especially by some of the better players, and town can make bad long posts too, but I've found it to be pretty effective

Still not sure who the final scum team is outside of the 1 I guessed, but from a scum hunting perspective, I don't know how to deal with low post players....or rather, people with low posts comparatively. I had that one night where I was spinning my wheels trying to get people to give reads or put votes down. It was my lowpoint where it felt like we had a game with town just killing town while scum watched and barely spoke. I'm hoping I'm wrong, and there's a surprise for me in the top posters, because it wasn't very exciting.
It's hard. People who don't give you enough to have a sense of them are a challenge. There's not a single good answer to this but I have spent a lot of time studying folks' handfuls of posts and I think you just gotta read deep... or kill 'em early.
We spend a lot of time focusing on loud voices and it's usually a not-great path (as I have learned over and over again to my chagrin). I don't mean high post count, I mean involved players.
Anyway, I dunno what Ael is telling you, but your reads are better than you think they are, that's all I'm saying.

Yeah this is why I've been changing out how I play mafia. I got tired of making big posts only for people to ignore them besides the fact that they are super fucking time consuming. I got scumread for not doing it this way in Corrida, but I would have gone nuts if I had used this tactic in that game.
If I'm going to keep playing mafia I need a way that allows me to play casually and not spend hours on something most peeps will ignore.
LOL you wouldn't want me in the game. I thought you were scum until you called out Sneeks. It seemed 100% illogical for you to bus Sneeks when Alexem would have been an easy misvote.

I think town should be always wary of low posters, because it's much more difficult for scum to hide when they're posting a lot and writing a lot. If more people are engaged in the game, it forces scum to come out.
Also, if town is going to vote out a townie, it's preferable that they vote out someone who isn't contributing as much.

Malus = Tiebreaker/kill immune: Is able to use his tie break command both in the thread and in scum chat, couldn't die except by being voted out
LP = Confidant/Vanilizer: 1-shot vanilla role change, on day one could pick a type of role (Cop, Tracker, Doctor, Bodyguard or Roleblocker), then could investigate a player each night to see if they were that type of role, picked cop
