Hobo defending Zeke is really risky too especially if they ever flip Hobo. Not sure why he's going down this line. LP or Fate really need to pressure him on this.

I mean, other than being a little greedy with his fake claim(walked back now with the only valid on the first 3 nights hot fix) Zeke's play so far is flawless

Accepting Operation Frenzy Plant as something actually happened will require a leap of faith from every player alive

Also "not taking the chance to hammer maol" is not a move that must be read as townie when scum is 3 mis eliminations away from victory.

I wonder if Hobo is drinking the Kool aid or noticed his path is through scum.

yeahI agree with that, last scum has no incentive to ever hammer or not hammer if he is the last person. It's really NAI.

Actually with Zeke hammering is NAI and it would be the lack of hammering that might raise and eyebrow.

Nah, despise the meme, Zeke isn't a mindless hammerer.

He plays serious when there are stakes at play.

In that situation I think it would had been scummy, in fact.

Just hammering

*truffleshuffle*

lol, I thought there was something weird with this reaction to my fake claim. Zeke was genuinely confused since he was last scum

The setup really doesn't support his claim either, which is why I thought it might be possible. For town to have a doctor, a universal backup that could become that doctor, plus a neutral with an instakill, scum really doesn't have much to work with against all those blocks, and if Zeke was telling the truth, I have no idea how you would balance that except maybe give scum like two strong kills, which haven't materialized yet. And even then, scum could easily waste those on the other PRs.

Scum has unlimited "delay strong kills" like the one that took sawneeks out. Only restriction is that they must not be in consecutive nights

Final 3 may as well be a final 4

I don't know what would benefit Zeke the most

Eh, I'm trying to not be too hard on them. The answers there, but Zeke has done some insane busing and not everyone knows his meta enough to know that's a thing Zeke would absolutely do. Spec was having a hard time figuring out it was him too
I think it's fair but it's unfortunate that kold and ambulance are both somewhat low activity because it's been mostly dominated by scum reading Zipped. Without any prodding of Zeke or Hobo they're just going to accept flipping all the vanilla claims which is the safest route to take. I think taking risky reads and running with them are fun even though it might lose to conventional play.

I definitely would have wanted to vote off Zipped too but leaving the neutral alive this late is something I would have been against.

Zeke does deserve the win if he pulls this off though.

Yeah, this is some high level mafia that requires a lot of experience to pick up on. The only reason I seriously considered it is because I've designed lots of games, and this setup didn't really make sense to me with Zeke's claim. And that's what led me down the memory hole of how he played early game and if he had a role like that, that only works for the first 3 nights now, why wasn't he doing everything he could to draw a nightkill? Doing nothing like he did usually guarantees the opposite result.

Most players 9 times out of 10 aren't going to go with the wild deepwolf option in a situation like this and will go with the safe play until final 3 where, if the scum player is good, it's a guaranteed win for the wolves.

Bojack was on his way out the day after we flipped Turm. His neutral claim was getting largely scum read and at least I was gearing up to vote for him the next day. Seeing his flip on day start was really surprising.

And now we have one of our role claims, which of the name was misspelled until I pointed it out for Zeke, which happens to take care of it.
Except the only way it worked is if the scum who died in question did the Night kill instead of looking for the player that would power him up to be a godfather…
In my mind, it makes more sense for scum to eliminate Bojack at night themselves (probably Bojack submitting it himself), sowing confusion, and then giving him a claim that is a non-moving action to eliminate Bojack (since a tracker or watcher could have been a possibility at that point of the game).

Nothing is simple here, and when you see my vanilla flip you will have to think about all of this like I am right now
Zipped on fucking point. Let’s go!!!

I was onto Zeke early on, but I don't think I would have considered Scum killing one of their own for a fake claim. Even the claim sounded super fake, but with nothing else explaining Bojacks kill I dismissed it as just a quirk of the game design.

My spidey senses were tingling early with Zeke but there wasn't anything actually there that I could really point to and make a case on. I would like to think that I eventually would have followed on on it but I'm not sure.

I've definitely felt what zipped felt here, you're saying all these ideas and no one really wants to buy into them or say anything so you have no idea if people are listening or choosing not to acknowledge

Rip though

This is going to be a long night phase. Fate will be killed tonight and then I'm interested in seeing what the told does tomorrow. Town should kill off Hobo just to make sure the final 3 is in their best interests but we'll see.

It sucks for Hobo he will get mis eliminated after making it this far.

Would claiming vanilla had been a good move for him back then?

Hawthorn

I'll explain my reasons later
I think it'll end with Zeke, LP, and Ambulance, with Zeke and LP trying to woo undecided voter Ambulance. Kind of like those charts someone posted indicated.

Transistor was my very first game as mafia in recent memory, of course I have to root for the good guys, by which I mean the plucky underdog pokemon trainers.

Just thought of the ultimate 7D chess play for Ambulance/LP if they miseliminate a townie today: fake claim scum on final 3

So hobo and Zeke have to convince one townie that one of the vanilla’s is more of a risk than hobo on final three.
Frankly Hobo’s best chance is an actual scum loss right now I’m not sure if Zeke will go for a neutral kingmaker or just the W…

welcome Fate… well assuming it’s fate

I’m sorry Ael and chat for my outburst at the end of the day. I should respect the rules and not try to bend them as far as I can. I’m sorry for cursing at you amb, when you read this later. Thank you Ael for hosting this game

If we lose to zeke
i will accept that
I should have really pressured him on that refelector claim since a self reflector shouldnt exist but i fell for zipped

Imperial Corps Commander Who Cheers the Army
lol, Zeke's post is scummy as hell.
In this situation the best play is always eliminating the neutral, but honestly I think 80% of the town players here would let neutrals mess around and find out.

But, Zeke overplayed his hand here

Agree that Zeke might have come out a little too aggressively. I expect LP to bring it up and see if anyone follows.

It comes off really bad as Zeke being scum partners from how I read it. Town!Zeke would never advocate for this kind of play.

Dead scum are still allowed to talk to alive scum? Never seen that be allowed before.

The one time that I was the only remaining scum member I still posted in the chat. Helped me to get my thoughts down and organized for the next day. Didn't do much good in the end, I was pretty well screwed at that point, but it definitely was a good exercise.

Last time I was final scum I kept posting in scum chat. Same with final partner in a mason chat.

amb no! Unvote you know your alignment voting yourself out just makes town lose!!

turmoil7

Imperial Corps Commander Who Cheers the Army
Well, LP "solved" it but also he is in the receiving end of the stick and can see where this is going, something the other townies can't.

turmoil7

Imperial Corps Commander Who Cheers the Army
I'm interested in seeing if Kold will stamp his foot and lead towards eliminating Hobo or will let the mob take out LP.

I think he understands what's the play here but maybe will shy away if there is too much pressure to eliminate LP

I mean someone has to bring it up, what are the odds Zeke gets scum read twice and then the people scum reading him are town lol
