Aw, wasn't his fault. Monkey is gonna be feeling some heat for this one. I'm a bit sorry for her.Message to maol and turm (slight spoilers - alignment of one player):
Gorlak sends his appreciation for the genuine town moment at the end of D1. He's sorry he let you both die and he's going to do his best to avenge you.
Personally, I can't wait for the flood of "oh my god, he was telling the truth about everything" posts that are sure to come in D3.Welcome folks! Hope you had fun.
Just finished catching up, you sure like to talk. I actually agreed with Fran that Maol's role sounded a bit too annoying, so reading the flip was a bit of a surprise.
Damnit rekiMy two faves are out too, wondering if picking them jinxed their chances or something
VA had my favourite role in the game by the way
Who did you think the message was being sent to?

Who did you think the message was being sent to?
what
The way aeleus phrased it made me think VA was the one answering Monkey's phone call
So he can change people's PM and make it sound like if its an official game runner command?
I could send a message overnight that went to a random player. That's all. My first night, I sent one that said "Don't Trust Vincent." No clue who got it.
so I don't understand what aeleus was trying to convey there
Wellllll...so I don't understand what aeleus was trying to convey there
Wellllll...
The messages don’t go to a random player. The role PM just says it goes to an undisclosed receipient..
Oooooh. Lmao. That is great.Wellllll...

If she isn't who are her scummates? Who is she protecting that's worth an insane gambit that has very little chance of taking her through the whole game? She has a weird defense of Meatwad D1 but surely he's not worth that sort of gambit considering his D2 play did nothing to help him.So do we think monkey is town?
That'd be some amazing scum play if true.Maybe she does it because she can get away with it
You softed a shitty role on d1, she picked you because you wouldn't be able to turn things around
And on d3 there would be lot of people willing to defend her because scum monkey would never do that
Her scumates are Fran and/or meatwad
Maybe an unreadable lurker or fandorin if one of them isn't
They do.I wonder if town has an actual strong role or all the roles are of the filler role kind
Fantomas. Tonight was almost an across the board fail for scum until they last minute changed up their plan.Who died?
This is the BEST way describe Vincent's play, curious to a fault lol. <3 VincentUnsure if "weird" is the word. I'd describe Vincent Alexander as being pretty cautious and curious through games, prodding and asking stuff most of the thread, and slipping from time to time with phrasing or stuff that gets him side-eyed. He's been around long enough for everyone to understand that's just how he behaves I guess?
This was me at EoD, but there wasn't really anything to be done since we needed to rip that bandaid off early, especially when Mao himself was saying to kill him off for the good of Town.I want to believe both monkey and maol are town
Fuck me
Lmao, my phone was just starting to learn all the Mafia names now too from all the mobile posting, it would even auto-capitalize Monkey for me lol.Just wanted to share something fun but not game related. I was chatting a moment ago on my phone and went to refer to something as garbo (as in garbage). My phone autocorrected garbo to Fanto. I think this means Fanto must fight me to the death to defend his honor.
My only lean at all before subbing out is that Monkey is scum, and only because that power is impossible for anyone to prove one way or the other. She is purposefully wasting town's time trying to come up with questions to use with the power, which distracts from actual scum hunting. If she is scum. That's my two cents.
Absolutely cold-blooded Scum team out there lol.Dr. Monkey said:Fanto is big mad in spec right now since it’s the weekend and he could actually play.
Didn’t think you’d ever get voted out and didn’t think protection would be on you.Not asking for spoilers (I haven't read any in here btw) but I am wondering why Scum decided to kill me tonight over some other players. I was thinking it would go to Gorlak or Monkey since they were both more universally town read than I was, though I suppose if they were worried about protection they may have gone for me instead, but they didn't seem to be worried about going for Ketkat on N1 even though everyone was calling her Town. Strong kill used on Ket perhaps?
I don't really see this one fitting together in my mind unless either Fran and Fandorin are both Scum, or one of them is Scum with a couple of the quieter players.
I still think Fandorin needs to be pressured, and Monkey outright saying she won't vote for him today would have made me eyeroll hard if I were still playing lol. She can't have that good of a read on him here yet, he's too sneaky, we need to apply pressure and observe him.
Then I would definitely be prying as many reads as I could out of Kalor, Meatwad, Malus, and Kopite while trying to get Fat4All to talk about anything other than Monkey and giving Zeke some homework to do.
In case anyone was wondering how I would try to get things more active in there lol. :P
Remember what I said when you sent me the Role PM? :PDidn’t think you’d ever get voted out
My spidey senses immediately tingled at Kalor and Meatwad today when catching up. Kalor because of that post to Zeke about why I lean scum on a re-read. What's interesting is I was accused of blending in, the only mention anyone has ever made of me blending in as far as I recall so far, then the VERY next page:
Malus and Kopite are probably Town, those reads seemed legit to me.
Kalor is probably Scum, seems too on-edge if that makes sense.
---
Scum made a good call killing me if they wanted the game to get quiet, that's for sure. I would be posting so much right now lol.
Real quick
EzekelRAGE, Vincent was very wishy-washy previously, like he just wanted to blend in.
I'm gonna go back a re-read a bunch of stuff when I get the time to make better reads, but this is what I'm feeling at the moment
I don't believe so. Only came out to mention their role was blocked.Has gorlak claimed and I missed it?
I'll eat my shoes if she isn't scum. Well, one of them.Monkey is totally a Neutral.
Color coded vote counts to help look back.
2 immediate thoughts I had:(i) 3 flipped townies (+ plus me and Gorlak) have voted for Meatwad at some point; and (ii) the Fran wagon on D1 is (very probably) pure with turmoil, Maol and Gorlak voting in quick sucession.
Looking back on vote history on point (ii): we had T5/Meat3/Maol2, Fantomas votes Maolfunction and makes it T5/Meat3/Maol3. Maol soon after votes for Meat and goes T5/Meat4/Maol3. Fran then switches his vote from Meatwad to Maol and makes it T5/Meat3/Maol4. Gorlak creates a 3 way tie voting off turmoil onto Meat with T4/Maol4/Meat4.
We get some dead air this point and after a bit turmoil, Maol and then Gorlak go for Fran, leaving things T4/Maol4/Fran3/Meat1.
I think I understand the link between Meat + Fran that Maol was talking about. We now know that we had 2 townies leading the lynch on D1, with Meat as the third option. Fran switching out to Maol removed some pressure from Meat and put solidified again Turmoil or Maol as the lynch - if Gorlak hadn't purposely voted to create a 3-way tie at least. I can see Fran's early pressure vote on Meat (that stayed until EoD) as a easy bus attempt on an inactive scummie.
Indeed!!Malus said:I can see now why Fanto always pushes for more votes to be cast. It's hard to get information if there is no adequate voting history.
I get what you're saying, but I think it also comes down to how one places a vote sometimes rather than just the act of placing one in general. So, now that I'm in front of a computer....While I wish more people used their votes liberally, it's tough to do so in this community. Players here tie sooo much meaning behind your votes, even when nodding along their approval that votes need to be used more often. I've had 2 games in a row now where I've tossed votes out just to shake things up, and both times (much less so this time) I was jumped on for it. The last Heroes and Villains game, I put one down on someone to see how they would react, and it jumped me from 0 attention to the top of lunch lists for a day or two. And that vote? It made the person I voted for get realdefensive, which told me what I wanted to know. And they ended up being scum. So, I dunno. This place is still adapting to the idea of using votes liberally. I think most are in agreement that players shouldn't wait until EoD to put a vote down, and yet there are players that can't get out of the mindset that where votes are placed is the only way to find scum. At least, that's what it feels like.
I thought it was a bold claim going against the whole group in saying Mao wasn't scum, but WHATEVER! lolSame could be said for Vincent. In fact I went back and your predecessor in your role was all over the place and seemed like he wanted to be present and not noticed. Also Vincent wanted to find "safe" wagons. When he voted me D1 He admitted he had zero justification for it and then switched his vote to Turmoil when he recieved pushback on my vote.
Then he spent most of day 2 talking to Monkey about her role and meekly trying to push Fran and Mao before abandoning that line towards day end. Vincent spent the game trying to play it safe and made no bold moves or did anything that would get him noticed. Which reads as anti-town to me
So just putting that out there
I thought it was a bold claim going against the whole group in saying Mao wasn't scum, but WHATEVER! lol
Nat, would you do me the honors of spoiling me and telling me:
Who received/is receiving my messages?
The scum team. They only ever go to the scum team lol
lmao. That's great.
ln case it isn't clear they don't know why they're receiving messages so you've completely mystified them with messages like "Don't trust Vincent" and "EzekelRAGE is very powerful". I told you it was my favourite role :P
I'm really bummed I couldn't stay in the game. I was going to code one of my messages to make whomever solved it feel smart, and that whatever was inside was truth. Also, is that really what Zeke sent them last night?!
Yep, it really is lol Scum are wondering if Zeke is some sort of powerful PR
lol. That's good stuff. Are they considering Zeke at all? I'd love to see him survive today, then them waste a lunch on him at night since town can live without his role. If he manages to be bait and protect a powerful role...that'd be much needed for town right now
Yes, but the backpack detects the things that leave the handprints behind, ergo Kits can detect whoever is handprinting people. At least, that's what makes the most sense to me flavor-wise, or at least, as much sense as can be made from Death Stranding lol.Fat4All said:in the video game the backpack doesn't have anything to do with the handprints being seeable
the backpack sees the BT's shadows, you can see the handprints just fine without it
Update:Town almost needs to land on scum today. Scum could execute a specific gambit the next day that would make it very hard for them to survive otherwise.
Lol. Sometimes you win one. Sometimes you don't. I just want town to hit 1 scum before they go down.Update:
I think town is fucked lol
They might, but long term I’m losing faith lolLol. Sometimes you win one. Sometimes you don't. I just want town to hit 1 scum before they go down.
She uses LIGHT theme?! Absolutely disheartening.I would say Gorlak questioned me most, but Fran would be in the second tier of folks who asked questions. You're cherrypicking.
Yeah, I think I found out about that during her Steven Universe game. Disgusting.Welp, I used to think highly of Monkey until this post.
She uses LIGHT theme?! Absolutely disheartening.
Update:
I think town is fucked lol
And she is allowed to be a moderator....This world makes no sense.Yeah, I think I found out about that during her Steven Universe game. Disgusting.
Ok. I can't take it anymore. Nat, will you please spoil me on scum? This is too stressful.
Role spoilers (vaguely):Wait, his clarification says it's not Weak?
Lame lol
Hang in there! I'll start spoiling more next phase - especially if things look grim lolOk. I can't take it anymore. Nat, will you please spoil me on scum? This is too stressful.
Okay, okay...I will endure!I'd recommend waiting till the start of the next day, some things should hopefully be made clear by then
