Obviously the lower case writing is meant to throw us. Unfortunately I seem to be unable to look at all of his posts in the game thread but based on the timing of his posts here, he might be in the Eastern US time zone. Or Europe. It's hard to differentiate between posting throughout the day or only in the evening after work/school lol.

I'll explain my reasons later
The changes I made were basically pronouns, all lower case, shorter posts, and didn't correct grammar mistakes. Worked perfectly. I was going to post more gifs, because I never post gifs, but it's really a lot of effort to look those up and link them!

Yeah I tried to hide somewhat at least. I signed up with "the pronouns by which my character identifies" and then did all lower case and no pretyped posts. I knew that probably wasn't going to be enough though, I can't hide myself that well, Monkey explained why in the thread the other day lol.

Yeah, but for the wrong reasons, I was buying into the conspiracy theory about him lying about being new. I think I just thought that would be a cool thing for a player to try so I wanted it to be true. He's doing a great job as the arsonist! Maybe he can win with town..

There are only like 10 regular female players, so I went straight to signing up with he/him XD. My main goal in this game was not to be discovered. I didn't know you until somebody said it, though! You were just Cat to me.

Yeah, I didn't believe he was new. He's done great, far more confident than I was my first game which is why I thought he was lying.

Yeah, I was surprised it was you when I saw and was laughing when you showed up and pretended to guess someone else was you. Thought the post about switching to rooting for scum would tip people off though lol. You did a really good job at hiding yourself!

I will shamefully admit that even though I thought to myself “that’s such a hawthorn thing to say”, I couldn’t look past the pronouns to get there.

Good effort Ephi, unfortunately jman is going to back whatever scum decides and I don't think wee will change her mind. Maybe the two snows and kook will see sense and realise alien's meltdown was clearly town and anyone that thinks otherwise is a fool.

So no, in short, you are wrong about the source of my demotivation. I am demotivated when I feel like I must get rid of a question mark who insists they are town and yet lifts nary a finger to do anything but act scum.

To be fair, Geno did kind of react in a similar way when he was close to getting voted off, to the point where I was starting to feel seriously guilty for pushing him so hard. Neon's doing some good analysis of Alien's posts though, I think they're getting there.

I don't say Ephi and HP because I'm not 100% sure. I'd love it if there were more identity hiccups. My ideal scenario as a spectator would be two players claiming the same era username. That would be so much fun to see.

I don't think the geno and alien situations are comparable.

All this pressure came from alien expressing concern that maybe they were voting out quiet town like ghost bear. It only works as scum if you believe he genuinely thought he could change the votes on woodsman by getting people to think he was quiet town, which was never gonna happen, it would be an absurd move by scum. The fact alien got so nervous about it should show precisely why he is town.

Yeah, I was thinking more about his posts today. You're right that his nerves at the end of yesterday should be pointing in a town direction. I think they might get there, the problem is Neon needs to have a strong alternative wagon to push, but there really isn't one-- scum and the arsonist are both well hidden

Yep, its annoying because yesterday pazzo and san were both under pressure, now with all the attention on alien, all that's just gone.

I've been exactly where he is more than once, and it is rough to watch. Believing that Monkey is Scum can be a hard pill to swallow, especially when you're in her good graces and your reads seem to be lining up with her. She's a master at pocketing.

I honestly believe that if Monkey hasn't handed Town a Scum player on a silver platter single handedly by the end of D3, she should always be voted out.

I actually don't think Monkey is all that hard to read. If she's hanging in there being real loud deep in the game she's probably scum* my main issue is that I don't trust other people that are around deep in the game to kill Monkey lol.

*Only exception to this is if Nat is in the game. Nat will absolutely keep Monkey around if he's scum.
