We can ask Hecht or El Topo to expand our community's mafia guideline. It's a working document, I think.

But this may put future gamerunners into an awkward position if they aren't really following the guideline to a tee. Still, it's a worthwhile suggestion, I will pass it to the document managers for their consideration.

Oh and Sophia has put together a very helpful guide on How to Play Townie somewhere. Not sure if she's finalized it but what I had read was really good! More people should read it!

I think Kalor is the best lead, I agree fully with Brazil ~ especially no one really attacking Kalor for hammering Geno is a bad sign. Furthermore looking at the flow of D5, Kalor most likely put a vote down in order to try to save rac.

The message talk is too much fluff, with nothing concrete. Don't know how that will solve the game atm.

Sorry I couldn't be as active as usual, but my reads were out there and probably more accurate than usual even, I don't think I was at the point where I needed to sub out.

I thought Framer was bastard... but in hindsight I'm not sure why, it's no different to miller/godfather and we see those all the time.

It wasn't an important point anyway. Switcher was just as capable of interfering with the result and that definitely isn't bastard, so the possibility for a cop check to go wrong was there.

Actually the fact that noone made a big deal of Kalor's switch until now is more suspicious than the switch itself, and I guess that was Brazil's point.

Would be harder to agree with that if I was still in the game though, since Brazil could be the scum making a big deal of the switch.

I still don't think it was obvious. Geno may have had no reasonable motive as scum to off Terra, but they had history and you never know how important sth. like that could be. And it wouldn't be the first time for unreasonable moves in a game of mafia in our community...

Furthermore he shot himself in the foot with the gambit (yes, even though it did reveal scum), that just looked like outing another PR as in taking down as much as possible while being alive.

CS claim was how exactly bad? One can critisize the immediate need to claim at all. Taking 30 minutes to give "boatmaster" as description may be another hint.
Apart from that? Day action was possible and lead people to believe him even.

There were two sides with unreasonable moves and motives to claim. CS was in no need to claim as scum, why couldn't it be over nervous town?

Apollo came forward and pegged the egg into in a longshot theory to make several person scum.

And a false red check will most likely lead to the death of the claimed cop, no matter what else is happening.

I can definitely understand wanting to lynch Geno, it’s not as if I expected a turbo on CS or anything. To me he just came out looking so suspect. He was the third person to claim a cop-like role, he “misunderstood” his role and used his check ten minutes into the day, and you had a third person reveal that he elected to kill CS and that it failed. Just because Apollo wasn’t completely sure why it failed doesn’t change that his claim made it that much more likely CS was scum unless you believed that A) Geno set out to go 1:1 with a town player, B) Geno as scum claims another red check and then..backs down instead of sticking to his claim which is what I would expect from scum, and C) that Apollo would more likely than not also be scum putting himself on the line to try and save his scummate who already was looking very iffy.

The difference though is I’m not in the game. I definitely would have gone into that phase looking to lynch Geno without a doubt. Being a spectator it’s easier to be objective though. In the game? Not as much and if I’d been a player I could see myself tunneling on Geno. The last game I played I tunneled so hard it threw the game. I really didn’t intend it to come off as arrogant - trust me I know better than anyone how bad I am at mafia so don’t take offense because one time as an observer I actually got something right lol

Yeah, I’ve mentioned it before but following this game has been great. Interesting design and some fun moments made by some of the newer members of the community.

Uh, this is going to be very interesting. I wonder if they will be aware of mylo tomorrow. It's 4 vs 2 after the night, right? (oh, we still have a switcher? maybe we get a better situation, does he still have a shot?)
Take a look at the votes (it's 1-2, 3-4, 5-6):

The night kills will clear up a lot. While I still have some doubts about Brazil, that push against Kalor, his claim that fits with my role and especially D5 should be enough.

If we take the other claims as given we have: Apollo (vig), Benghis + ohyeah (masons), Kaz (switch) - this leaves DCPat, Salva and Zipped.

Kalor's vote against DCPat could be setup, but it's more likely he's town, I think? In game I would still have huge doubts against Kaz.

Thinking about DCPat, I would need to reread. Rac admitted to have almost no connections to his mates. I could see this for CS-rac (when I reread the night I died), only 4 or 5 posts that connect. My memory says DCPat has few connections overall. It may be worth it to check everyone against the three scum tomorrow.

I know about zipped's alignment, that makes me rethink about Brazil. Was D5 a scum - scum choice? zipped+brazil vs kalor+rac on different sides? regardless these thoughts wouldn't occur to me ingame. I'd still townread zipped hard, don't know what I would think of his continued survival

No. Salva was targeted and in light of Kalor's flip, I didn't want to take the chance at losing an extra day and voice for us.

If Salva is scum though, I am going to cry. A lot.

it's one method that scums sometimes use to clinch victory, by taking out the vocal, active, town voices. it's not a particularly cool way to win, but i've seen it done a few times.

mentors aren't allowed to play the game for their students, you see! sawneeks wouldn't be able to influence brazil's decisions. they are just there to provide morale support and some GENERAL answers with regards to generic mafia lingo/terms (e.g. mylo/lylo, etc.)

Yeah, Brazil has a few things against him, explicitly defending Terra and later claiming being right about Terra and Geno makes him even more townie. That D4 self-vote sure is odd.
Where does the mason thought come from? Khan and ohyeah confirmed each other as masons?

Without putting more effort/rereading in it and finding connections I'd go for Pat (or Kaz^^) as well.
