Thanks! I requested a mentor. I'll try my best, hopefully its a fun experience but if you need to throw me under the bus then its all good.

I'm rewatching the anime right now because I honestly don't remember anything lol

The good news for you is that we never (at least that I can recall) vote out new players on D1, we give everyone a chance to get their feet wet at least. You might get some slight pressure just so people see how you react but as long as you don't come out and say "I am scum" you should be OK on D1.

Ok so we have:

- Godfather
- Roleblocker
- Hammerer
- Goon

Mechanical speculation is dangerous but this is a normal game so should be somewhat predictable. Godfather should mean we have a cop. No ninja powers makes it unlikely we would have a tracker or watcher, could be a potential claim. Roleblocker probably for primarily countering protection. Hammerer? I have no idea what that counters but we'll have to play with it carefully.

That's the perfect attitude to approach these regardless of how many times you have played. It can be stressful at times but just remember that it's a game that is supposed to be fun.

Yes, but it’s still early D1. Some of it does look like infighting and the busy work they’re trying to call out. Maybe we can exploit some of it as looking like manufactured conflict since that’s atypical D1.

You are absolutely fine right now. No one is really looking at you that seriously and even if they were we typically give new players a lot of rope to get into the game. I think you will need to start engaging and talking some with the other players but you will have time to settle in.

On the first post of each day (and it's in the first post of the game) there is a link to our vote tool: https://vote.fireblend.com/612477/

That link is updated real time as votes come in so you can keep track.

We typically don't have standard vote instructions in the PMs, if we did it would be in all of the PMs regardless of alignment so you don't need to worry about that.

While I have seen scum teams stack in the early game most of the time you want to spread out among other players. I usually don't target someone for elimination, it's more of who I think I can make a scum argument against that's not one of my teammates unless we are bussing (bussing is when scum teammates push and vote for their team mate's elimination).

From your end right now who do you think is playing most suspiciously?

I'd think HP is being really weird. Just a ton of posting that doesn't vibe with me without really any kind of engagement at all. I talk to HP on a regular basis (alongside Jom and Pandy) so I can't really tell if hes being sus of us 3 new players without saying much or if hes just getting a read on things.

Rac is by far the most antagonistic player in this game but I have no idea if thats how he usually operates. From the beginning the "random" list stuff was obviously trying to drive some wedges, and attempted read on some people

I think you can make a case on HP if that's how you feel, it's certainly something that you can bring up how someone friendly to you normally is just giving you a side eye. It actually probably makes sense for you to focus on someone you know.

Jom & Darkside make sure you have a vote down by the end of the day. Preferably it should be on one of the leading trains but can be off train if you can justify it.

I'm a bit confused on this, we all have to agree to kill the same player since its shared? I'm not really sure if its a good idea to kill someone completely random or if we should kill someone who is suspicious of us. I would lean towards Rac or Maol personally just because they seem like the strongest players but I don't have a strong preference and I'd probably go with who you're considering if we have to come to a consensus here

I’m inexperienced as scum so I’m curious why you weigh us as not in the best position (especially if there’s something I could have done better).

Any reason to use the roleblock tonight?

None of us has that much suspicion on us but neither of us are that town read so we are kinda in a meh spot.

Definitely use the roleblock. I'm not sure of a good target for it though yet as I'm not great at picking up breadcrumbs.

My only input regarding the night vote from my perspective is not HP because someone found me calling him suspicious well... suspicious. Also it seems like Fanto is really out to get Hedin so maybe it wouldn't be good to immediately go after her?

I'm not too worried about Fanto yet, she was talking about me but it didn't gain any traction.

I thought I saw stuff from Monkey to think she might be a doc but I can't find the quotes.

From where I am at Vere, rac, and Monkey are the most likely to be doc protected tonight. Vere and rac have been the most town read players so far, Monkey is well Monkey. If I I could find those quotes and really thought Monkey was the doc I would think we block her and go after Vere but that feels a little risky at this point.

I think Maol is a good kill. He's a good player, seems to be fairly town read, and he and I always butt heads which if I'm being selfish I would like to avoid. I think maybe anex should block Monkey just in case as well.

Don't worry about having to have a perfectly scripted thing, just go in and try to have conversations with people. Try to ask them some light questions and hopefully they answer you back.

Hmmmm....probably reading too much into this but interesting that he thinks there is a RB. Roleblock are somewhat common for scum but it's not a given.

That would be a strengther most likely. More than likely he's just making an assumption here but it's something to keep an eye on for sure.

Town likely has protection in with either a doctor and/or a bodyguard.
Since I am a godfather they most likely have a cop who can do alignment checks on other players. If the cop checks any of you it will return not town aligned, if they check me it will return as town aligned because of my role.
After that it gets a little hazy. There could be a tracker (you target someone and see who they visit) or a watcher (you target someone and see who visits them) but since we do not have a ninja ability that would probably be unlikely.
Other possibilities might be a gossip (can pick someone to have a gossip chat with at night), a messenger (send a message to someone during the night), commuter (someone who becomes untargetable at night), a town roleblocker....really there are lots of options as there aren't really any set guidelines. We do not have a lot of powers ourselves so I would not expect town to have a lot of power on their side either.

Well anex no one is biting with my stuff so I think you might be OK. And even with a little bit of heat I'm not showing up in PIKs so far. Might actually be good for me to get a little heat if it makes a cop check me.
